Sixaxis Controller from the market.. I believe your rooted... Finally ,.... You have to use the ps3 cable with a usb to microusb attachment on it and hook it up to ur phone. Open up sixaxis app, hit pair controller, and it should update the bt master code. Then u just hit start wait till it says listening for controllers and then u just push the center button on the ps3 controller.
Then go into settings, input devices find the ps3 controller and check the bix, then go into its settings, first option, then check the bix for using it as a game pad.

Actually no u dont, i personally helped the dev set up the pair tool via the phone/tablet. I tested the app on my tablet when he was getting everything to work. Me and my little brother use the same controller on two different phones and we just use cables while syncing, the pc pair tool is not necessary at all and if anything it can lead to more errors since u manually have to input the master BT code into the controller.

So I keep reading, a lot, that otg and dongle work, but then nobody shows how or what brand...
Does it work or are all of these posts saying its works just repeating what they have read?
[I really dont think people should be posting answers in an FAQ if they are just repeating others words]
I have looked and looked and I can not find anything beyond the same reply: "OTG cable and dongle"
If someone can share a link/thread that shows actual success with a Bluetooth dongle and results that would be great!
Thanks!

It doesn't work, there's no driver support in any Kf ROM for any type of Bluetooth dongle.
These posters have all read it doesn't work, they just refuse to believe it.

People are getting confused here, and that's understandable.
Before Bluetooth was around and usable on PCs, you used to be able to buy keyboards with an adapter that would sit in the USB port. They would only work with that specific keyboard and nothing else. They were proprietary and use the standard USB drivers apparently - Which is why the guy who is using the dongle and keyboard in the video is able to do so.
Bluetooth on the other hand is totally different, and while you need the dongle, you also need the drivers. But I think we've come far enough that no one is going to write them.
I have been trying to hook up my PS3 controller to my i747M S3 with Bell and nothing happens. It's an original PS3 controller with an OTG cable.

I was able to pair a PS3 controller with my AT&T S3 using the sixaxis program on Market Place. You have to run a configuration program with the Controller hooked to your pc to match with your phone. Once done, you should be able to pair it.

Love my sixaxis here too + hdmi out...
Only downside is that you have to manually pair the controller every time you want to game instead of it being ready to go. Other big hassle is that you have to create your own button mapping profile (or google one) for each new game that you want to play. Wish there was a good app to centralize most of them. Would have to be a root app, though, in order to save 'em into the sixaxis config dir: /data/com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller/profiles/GameName.map
fyi - this guy makes an s3+ps3 controller mount: http://buy.thegameklip.com/
for a few dollars more you can also have him include short usb cables to connect the controller, which according to him doesnt require root... unlike the bluetooth method.
i ordered the mount, but im still waiting for amazon to ship my ps3 controller. its nothing super amazing, but does the job.

He wants USB Tethering. I have noticed that it is actually broken on a LOT of JB ROMs but nobody uses it or bothers to test it so it goes unnoticed. You might wanna try ICS.... I don't use USB Tethering but I have seen the problem across multiple devices on JB (excluding official JB of course)
Oops thats what happens when replying to a post when half asleep. I didn't think people still use usb thethering. Anyway right now best to buy a usb wireless adapter and use the modified wireless tether for root users. Unless someone else knows of a way to usb tether that works on jb.

USB Tether app
I use pdanet for my USB tethering needs. I am currently on TBGS3 5.0 (GB08) and tested it. It works flawlessly... the only thing is you may have to pay for the full functionality, depending on your needs. The app itself is not on the market, but if you google it you will get to there main cite, where you can download the app for your computer and, utilizing the push to phone function, can install the app on your phone. Good luck, hope this helped. :good:
