i want to see samsung keyboard user dictionary on my note 2 and i want to add some words on it.
it was possible some custom keyboards but now i cant find user dictionary on memory
All the words are saved by itself as you type.
To remove a word just type some of it until it comes up and hold it. This will give you a option to remove it.

Hi folks,
Is there an easy way to edit the swype dictionary to get rid of the nonsense words that seem to have crept in?
Cheers

Yeap, it's Settings > Language & Keyboard > User Dictionary.
Hold click on any of the words you'd like removed and press "Delete".
This helps with words that have been added by yourself, though I'm not sure how to remove words that were already built-in to begin with
Thanks for that. Had a look there and it reckons i dont have any user added words.
Very few of the words I want to delete are actually words at all and I am not sure how they ended up in the dictionary.
Cheers,
John

Im looking for an app that I can use to take notes while i am in a call. I use my Voicmail a lot and need to write down a dozen or so calls throughout the day. Looking for something that can easily switch between the dialer and the note page as I need to write a note go back in to press delete then go to next message then write a note...on and on and on.Does anyone know of such an app?
Have you tried evernote? It's very handy and syncs with the cloud so the notes are accessible anywhere.

yeah those are good for notes and such but WAY more than need! Just want a simople little app that will switch easily between phone and note. Even a link in the dialer to notes. I think my old HTC Touch ?!? used to pop up a note app when i pulled out the stylus? Something similar to that?

Have a look at Quill on the market, it's a pen taking app, use a stylus or your finger, you can save as a pdf or pic, might be something you would like. If you don't want to type of course.

Hovernote might work for you. It's actually an overlay application that will just sit on top of the dialer, or anything else, and lets you type into it and save as a text file.
Personally I like Papyrus. Works great for taking notes. Not sure if that is what you are looking for though.

I use Papyrus Ex, it's sort of like Papyrus except it doesn't request permissions to take over your whole phone and sniff all your contacts, all it asks for is read and write to SD card. You can change where it stores too, good for when you flash roms or backup, that way you don't lose your notes.
Try Colornote
S note that comes with s3... you can use your finger or stylus to write on pages

I've noticed some words just WILL NOT go in via swipe entry. Example... the word "nasty" always goes in as "may". Is there some way to train it or do I always need to enter the word individually.
I should just use nicer word.
I think the keyboard supposedly learns as time goes on. I also have trouble with a couple words. The keyboard just will not enter them.

If you manually add "nasty" to your personal dictionary, it works. I'm guessing the swiping dictionary differs from the auto suggestion dictionary, but both will learn to read from your personal dictionary.

I agree.. i think it learns.. but you can also manually enter words you keep missing!
I've manually added cuss words and it refuses to swipe them.

Yeah it doesn't work with "whore" either. Don't ask...

It has to be exactly on the button at first. But the keyboard learns from you and predicts the word you want.

Nope. I've entered it twice into the dictionary, still won't predict it.

Is there an app that will insert one's email address into a field? I used to have a Cydia app on my iPhone that was named "Double At". If you hit @@, it would insert your email address.
If there is no app to do this, is there some way to add typing shortcuts ( "brb" for "be right back") that will allow an easier way to insert long strings of characters? I went into the settings for the LG keyboard but i didn't see anything that allows shortcuts.
Under Languages & Input there is Personal Dictionary that will allow you to add words and create a shortcut. But, I just tryed with be right back[brb] and it wouldn't allow me to save it... because of the Space.
However, I haven't used shortcuts and I'm not quite sure how it works...

I just tried what you suggested in the Personal Dictionary and it would not allow me to use the @ symbol.

Are you saying that there is a separate shortcuts screen that is different than the one in the dictionary?

Same here... maybe once bootloader unblocked, devs would be able to tweak that and make it more functional.

No. Az I type I get the word suggestions and pick from the list if I want. Now I saved the "brb" to give me berightback [no spaces] but it doesn't. I get it as a suggestion once I type "ber"... that's weird... I thought that saving words in the dictionary will override the learning or at least give the dic 1st priority... I guess not

I just discovered there is a "Spellchecker" option under "Language & input", but activating it does nothing, and clicking on the settings button next to it brings me to an empty screen.
What's up with that?
I think its for keyboards with extra spell check, e.g. Old google keyboards

If you type spel and click spacebar, keyboard should write spell.

Keyboard
I find SwiftKey being better than the default keyboard, you might want to try that out it has a nice spellchecker, it suggest you words by analyzing all of your SMS (and e-mail if you want to)
