I've noticed some words just WILL NOT go in via swipe entry. Example... the word "nasty" always goes in as "may". Is there some way to train it or do I always need to enter the word individually.
I should just use nicer word.
I think the keyboard supposedly learns as time goes on. I also have trouble with a couple words. The keyboard just will not enter them.

If you manually add "nasty" to your personal dictionary, it works. I'm guessing the swiping dictionary differs from the auto suggestion dictionary, but both will learn to read from your personal dictionary.

I agree.. i think it learns.. but you can also manually enter words you keep missing!
I've manually added cuss words and it refuses to swipe them.

Yeah it doesn't work with "whore" either. Don't ask...

It has to be exactly on the button at first. But the keyboard learns from you and predicts the word you want.

Nope. I've entered it twice into the dictionary, still won't predict it.

Thanks. I'm using this right now and it works better than swype or slide it or touch pal. Hoping for some other color options for themes.

Just downloaded also. Very nice!
What is a fast way to capitalize a word?

Tank you very much for this.
Lovin' it, but there's still some things Swype does better. One thing I've grown to love is that swype remembers which mode you had the keyboard in last (alphabet or numbers) and returns to it when you bring the keyboard back, but Flow always reverts back to alpha, which is annoying, since I have a bunch of apps that I primaryly input numbers into.
Is there any reason for current Swiftkey users to upgrade to this, if we don't use the "swype" type technology it offers?

Thank you for releasing this to us, so far I have only come across one issue, on occasions swype will not recognize a double letter. Thanks again.

I think this is good but still some needs work. I like that Swype offers word options while this only gives one word or you have to type it. I also have not found it as accurate as Swype on word prediction. I am keeping my eye on updates but for now am staying with Swype.
Thanks for the link. Haven't used swift key in a while. I do like swype better but wish the JB keyboard had the predictive word up top, I like how the word glows while you're typing.

Swiping w/ SwiftKey isn't working in a number of fields, namely search fields. Its working in larger text fields like compose area of email. Is this what other users are seeing?

Yes I noticed it was only working when texting someone or writing a email. Internet doesn't work for some reason.

Started using this yesterday and I am quite impressed. Of course this is my only non stock keyboard other than SwiftKey 3.

Had to switch back to Swype after giving Flow a try for a few days. Was an OK run though.
Swype is just way more accurate for me for whatever reason. It's also better at pluralization, correcting words, remembering the last alpha/number mode, and, crucially, Swype lets me swype in search fields too where swiftkey flow requires you to tap it out! (wtf?)

+1
i actually really enjoyed using swiftkey, tried it for a couple weeks.
pros:
1. fast and smooth swiping
2. fairly accurate predictive t9
cons:
1. the "to" vs "too" or "god" vs "good" types were annoying me in swiftkey. i hope they figure something out for that.
2. correcting a past word in a sentence (ie. not current/last word) is frustrating. it think it just messes up with swiftkey's t9 and weird words come up.
3. sometimes swiped words just don't show up on available words (from t9) like "to" or "do" or other simple words
will definitely be keeping an eye on this and trying later iterations.
i want to see samsung keyboard user dictionary on my note 2 and i want to add some words on it.
it was possible some custom keyboards but now i cant find user dictionary on memory
All the words are saved by itself as you type.
To remove a word just type some of it until it comes up and hold it. This will give you a option to remove it.

thank you
anyone able to edit user dictionary ... or import text file ... right now its learning from facebook and gmail but cannot import it by whatsapp ... software like User Dictionary manager show blank dictionary ... samsung note 2 n7100
This auto correct is so aggressive it insist that I did not mean to spell a certain word their way even after I correct it my self. To allow my ebonics to register I have to click the word in the word selection. Even after I backspace and retype the word it insist I did not mean it after I correct it 5 time lol. What do you guys who payed for this app or have it think. We all don't talk like scholars every second of the day.
Sent from my SGH-T999
yeah it is the most annoying thing with SwiftKey or any keyboard with autocorrection. you can turn it off though.
switkey settings >> advanced >> spacebar, set it to always insert a space.
S-beamed from my GSIII via xda premium
that is why I'm still using Swype Beta 1.4, when I add a word to the dictionary it brings that word up first.
Yeah I know, but you know you want it on when you're like texting your boss, lady. Etc. Lol and it would get annoying to me to keep inning it. Default with swipe looks and functions better in my opinion. (AOSP or gn2 keyboards)

One more reason why I keep switching back to Swype
You do know that SwiftKey has a feature where you can make it learn from your texts emails and twitter updates.. Oh even Facebook.
Type words how you want in twitter, messages, emails, Facebook for a bit dealing with selecting the way you type words or your unrecognizable words. (I usually do it for every 1000 texts) de then go into the SwiftKey settings and make it learn. Then boom problem solved SwiftKey now respects your authoritaaaaaay lol

Is there an app that will insert one's email address into a field? I used to have a Cydia app on my iPhone that was named "Double At". If you hit @@, it would insert your email address.
If there is no app to do this, is there some way to add typing shortcuts ( "brb" for "be right back") that will allow an easier way to insert long strings of characters? I went into the settings for the LG keyboard but i didn't see anything that allows shortcuts.
Under Languages & Input there is Personal Dictionary that will allow you to add words and create a shortcut. But, I just tryed with be right back[brb] and it wouldn't allow me to save it... because of the Space.
However, I haven't used shortcuts and I'm not quite sure how it works...

Are you saying that there is a separate shortcuts screen that is different than the one in the dictionary?

Same here... maybe once bootloader unblocked, devs would be able to tweak that and make it more functional.

No. Az I type I get the word suggestions and pick from the list if I want. Now I saved the "brb" to give me berightback [no spaces] but it doesn't. I get it as a suggestion once I type "ber"... that's weird... I thought that saving words in the dictionary will override the learning or at least give the dic 1st priority... I guess not

I have tried out a lot of keyboards for my ATT Galaxy S3, and not one has what I want. I really don't care about the main keyboard, all of them are fine, but when you switch to the symbols/numbers page, I want the numbers in a 10-key design instead of a single row at the top. Anyone know of a keyboard app like this? I appreciate the help.
Swype has a keypad layout for numbers if you drag Swype key to the letter t (5).

Swiftkey has the numpad layout. I believe it's also switchable to left or ride side in the settings.

The only thing is it is $3.99 for the paid version. I personally think it's worth it. Over the course of 2-3 years it's something you use to text, email, notate, etc.
I went with they swype option for now, it seems to be what I am looking for, I just never knew it had that feature. Thanks for that. I will keep swiftkey under advisement, I haven't looked at it before now because of the price.
I used swiftkey for a while but it frequently forgot all the predictions, so I opted for Swype.
