[Q] V6 Supercharger causing trouble? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hi everybody!
So, I wanted to change the minfrees on my GN, to have more free ram at anytime and I therefore installed the v6 supercharger..
Then I started facing some problems (media scan taking ages, freezes etc).
After some research I finally found the problem having a look at /proc/last_kmsg: some partitions were "remount-looping" continuously, IE mounting with no option, mounting with some option and remounting without them.
I tried with plain CM10, with Franco kernel, Trinity and Leankernel, same result everywhere, and so I identified in the v6 supercharger the root of the looping, which started right after installing it, and confirmed it through various tests.
I asked zeppelinrox (v6 supercharger creator) about this but he wasn't able to find a solution to this (neither we understood WHY this happens).
My questions are: did you use the v6 supercharger and experience the same issue?
If you don't know, would you mind checking by rebooting the phone and then having a look at /proc/last_kmsg?
And finally, if there isn't any other solution.. What shall I do in order to change my minfrees on CM10?
Here I'm attaching the guilty file..

Thank you for your time.

I used V6supercharger on Xylon 19 ROM without any issues. But currently trying stock 4.2.2 ROM without need to use V6supercharger. There is almost 350MB of free RAM, which is quit fine for me. I checked last_kmsg, but no remount errors .

I know maybe that's been a lot of time since these posts, but I'm sharing my experience for others.
The problem was solved after using latest TEST version of the supercharger.

[Q] slow phone/dialer app

Anyone got a solution for this problem?

Read the list of build prop edits, there's one for your issue there, I'm sure. I had the same issues on both the x10 and Arc. The best thing to use is the v6 supercharger, I'll add the link in a sec.
Here.

DON'T use the kernel tweak if you use DoomKernel, everything else is effective.

i'm allready using the v6 supercharge script(option 6) at the moment i'm running the oem kernel. In the build.prop edits list i only can find a fix for the outgoing phone delay
Just noticed that. Like I said, had that problem as well but seems to have gone so don't really know if it's a dialler or OS issue. Probably using similar to you, 2.3.4, DoomKernel, supercharger etc.

This is an awesome memory script by zeppelinrox.
I have used it on a few of my phones in the past and it does exactly what he describes it as!
This is the original thread with links to the scripts.
Recommended is setting 9, with the 1000HP. HP has to do with total memory I believe.
Editing this for some more clarity:
The most recent updates (betas/tests) are located here.
Software needed before installation:
1)Script Manager (found in the Market)
2)Busybox Installer (found in the Market) Make sure you install Busybox 1.182 or lower!
3)Your phone MUST be rooted!
To install:
1)Make sure you have the above software installed.
2)Download whatever version of V6 Supercharger/3G Turbo that you want to install. I usually install the most recent beta releases. You can find the stable release from here Betas/tests are here.
3)Open Script Manager
4)Navigate to where you downloaded the script and select it
5)Check Run as Root
6)Touch Run
7)Follow the instructions as the script runs!
Highly recommended for everyone's phone!! It really turns your phone into something brand new!
Good find I'll have to give this a go.

You better check to see what version of busybox you are using or you are asking for a world of errors. I believe we are on version 1.19 and you need to be on 1.18.2 or lower. And you have to remember that a universal tweak or mod doesnt always work with our phones because samsung did something way different this time. So im just saying be careful!!!!!!

You can use busybox installer to downgrade to 1.18. I did and my cf-bench scores went up quite a bit. (With this and the Universal Adrenaline Shot.)
Phone seems more responsive and faster to switch apps now.

I think I got this installed... but where is this 1000HP setting? Can't seem to find it. I chose option 9 but it never asked me for any values.
Holy crap this is amazing downgraded my busybox to 1.18.2 and ran the script. I chose 0 for the launcher setting and 9 for the v6 setting im running this and dsextons tweak on the stock rom streamlined underclocked to 1.3ghz absolutely amazing with crazy battery life

Once again i believe this needs init.d support from the kernel. So maybe nothing atm.

[Q] How to increase TX Power of Wifi on Xperia PLAY?

I have read that on numerous android devices, the Xperia X10 is one example. That it is possible to increase the output power of the Wifi in our phones. Does anyone know how to do this on our phone?
I'm also looking for this! I hope someone had found out how to do it.

I did it on Gingerbread, i cant remember how, i think it was some code in build.prop, but i know its in the dev section somewhere-_-

I had gone through my build.prop several times. The only thing I see related to wifi is the delay between wifi scans. That is all.

[Q] What happened to the Supremacy Script thread?

It was here yesterday. Just want to know because if it contained some malware or some other shady stuff I should restore some earlier backup of my phone.
Other than that, since I did flash it, all seems fine with it. So, what was the cause for the thread removal? Cheers!
It looked like it was never tested on Plays. The thread is still there in other xperia forums.
Flashed it too yesterday, and my phone feels much faster and till now no problems.
It was removed from Xperia S forums aswell.. its done a minor wonder for the awake state of Android System.. so I really need to know if its unsafe.
The thing is that the feedback on that thread was positive or indifferent, no one said that it broke the phone in any way. So it's a small mystery why all of the sudden the thread is gone
I flashed it on a Jellybean rom and it wouldn't boot. I used it on an ICS rom and it worked fine, not sure what the deal was with it.
I use it on my stock 2.3.4 build. And it works without any issues. Can't vouch that it boosted my performance though since I didn't really test it well enough.
i have checked that on djjko ==> bootloop
2.3.4 ( ..62) ==> crash monitor error
2.3.4 ( ....58 ) ===> crash monitor error
so , i never will use that
Worked on dix2 but the same don't see any major improvements
Work on stock ics but battery drain too fast on standby

Hoe to free up memory ram and optimize device performance

Guys, is there anyway i can do to make my galaxy nexus faster or hoe to clean up more RAM By using default or old way from the device itself?
Cause i feel im not install lots of app and not running lot of them but its a lil bit annoying cause my phone run a lil bit heavy than usual even I've restart the phone already.
Please need your advance suggestion n guide. So far what ive done is close the app one by one and i notice there is no galaxy nexus. Firmware app that can kill all apps simultaneously.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Don't interfere in androids multitasking. Closing apps that were intended to run in the background is only going to slow your system down overall.
Your best bet is to either make the switch to a more streamlined custom ROM or consider starting fresh.

That's not the way Android works- it seems that you have your phone confused with a Windows PC. Killing processes to free up ram is counterintuitive and serves to slow the device down. Free ram is wasted ram in this case.

ok if you insist, go to developer options, scroll to "background process", change it to 1 or 2 or 3 or 4
you can also enable "force gpu rendring"

Op, at this precise moment I have 5 home screens full of widgets, and "only" have 172MB of free RAM.
It doesn't lag, it's still snappy. And I don't kill apps. Android kernel does that for me. This isn't Froyo or Gingerbread anymore.
Fine-tune your governor settings.

You might consider switching back to 4.1.2. As far as i have heard all Galaxy Nexus models suffer from poor memory management in de 4.2.x Android versions, often leaving with less than 50mb of free RAM. I personally have this problem and I'm about to switch back. I'm just researching which ROM to get and not lose too many functions.

How to downgrade
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
You should just factory reset and let the phone manage ram how its meant to. Having more free ram may cause a placebo effect but were not talking about windows here...used ram properly is more effecient than unused wasted RAM.
If you want to downgrade search for factory images.
