i can't found it, I only see the "how to unlock the bootanimation" but i haven't note 2 i would to port the animation from note 2 to my phone
HERE is a video of the boot i would find....i found only in orginal samsung format but i need a bootanimation.zip
Re: [REQUEST]Stock JB bootanimation.zip
So you want it in a flash able format?
You will need to replace the respective files and set permissions.
Making a flash able zip would be harder.

You don't need a custom kernel to get a custom boot animation.
Rename the samsungani binary to something else, copy/symlink the bootanimation binary (make sure the permissions are correct) and add a bootanimation.zip in the appropriate location.

Where to copy bootanimation binary (where to put it)?
Did you try it?
Im just afraid of crashing my system or getting stuck at the bootanim

Worst case is that the boot animation would be skipped. You could always boot in CWM recovery and undo your changes.
The files are in /system/bin/
if you flash phiexz custom kernel for stock rom, it also flashes bootanim.
if you then replace that bootanim its working...
its at system/media, just bootanimation.zip , leave samsungani like it is

I already tried phiexz custom kernel, and wifi didn't work, so I reflashed rom, but luckily I did a backup in cwm, and when I flashed using odin nothing was deleted ......

also, you neeed partitions to be rfs, phiexz kernel doesnt work on ext, for ext use delano's cf root, this one is only for ext

Try root explorer copy the files after extraction from new folder and paste it in system media folder merge is what I did

strange zip file, latest version of 7-zip was unable to extract the ogg files, but winrar was able to
Thanks Mate. will this work with stock rom + Rooted ?
Thanks mate
This will work with stock ROM or any other ROM. To use, merge the files as suggested above.

I extracted the files from each folder and using root explorer I moved them to system/media/audio/alarms,notifications and ringtone folders but when I go to settings>sound>device ringtone>choose android system, I still get only the default choices. The new ones are not there.
I have cf root 6.3 and stock rom LF6.

Did you set permissions rw-r-r?
And there is another method just create a media folder with all these files in your sd card

I thought it was inside the boot.img? (The kernel?)
The actual boot image is in the kernel/boot.img...
If you're looking to change the boot animation... you can put a different boot animation - "bootanimation.zip" in /system/media
I posted in the wrong thread... :sly:

I decompiled boot.img using Kitchen, but I couldn't find initlogo.rle. What should I do now ?

Just put it there (/system/media), it will override the Carbon boot animation
