[Q] Wicked rom jb v7 question - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

so first post and naturally cant put it where it makes sense .. so.. just flashed the new wicked rom v7 and wondered if I was missing something with the lack of a "clear" button to get rid of notifications on the drop down menu. is it just me and a reinstall should fix it?? figured Id ask cause most of the comments about people finding quirks (in the development section of forum) seem to revolve around user error and to reflash. Thanks in advance

It's at the top right by the shortcut to settings when you pull down the notification bar. That's what the nexus notification thing means in the change log, I think.

oddly enough I thought something disappeared.. I originally saw a new little icon up there and when I tapped it,, it disappeared.. guess it cleared itself.. oh well either way I just discoverd that with a swipe.. you can clear the notification as well. thanks for response though.

You're welcome. I only ran v7 for a few minutes cuz I prefer holding menu to search (v6) instead of kill the current app (and I don't know how to mod that myself), but the new icon worked as it's supposed to for me.

Yes it disappears when you don't have any notifications and it comes back when you do.

[Q] Revising Autocorrect Spellings

I might be really thick, but on gingerbread when you went back to a word you were offered the autocorrect suggestions again in order to change it. This isnt happening in ICS. Am I doing something wrong?
If you're talking about words you have added you can find them by going in to the main settings menu-language and input- then personal dictionary. Once in there you can add, edit or delete words.
Hope this helps.

Yeah they made some weird changes. Now you have to double tap (edit: or long tap) on a word in order to replace it.
Has anyone found that if you try to correct a spelling mistake it will change its self back? This is happening frequently to me.

Yeah mate your not alone, i had this today - damn annoying!

Space button = silent?

As I look at my keyboard, I see that my hard keyboard has a silent icon on the spacebar in the top corner. Does this mean that it is a silent icon? If so, how do I use it?
Same here, I'm super curious I've tried everything I could think of, Maybe if I figure it out ill tell you but I know someone is gonna beat me to it:/

Unlock your phone, slide out the keyboard out and hold the space bar. It would put your phone in silent/vibrate and press/hold the space bar again to return back to the volume level. This somehow doesn't work if the phone is locked or in the music player.

I tried that, and all it did was open a search page that started filling with spaces...I am using LPP as a launcher if it matters.

And please tell me English isn't your first language? Because trying to read your post makes my head hurt.
Try a factory reset. If that doesn't fix your issue, then take it to Sprint and return it for being defective.

Not while stock, you would need to root and either flash a custom rom that has it baked in or flash the modded messaging app that's floating around the dev. Section.

Who hates opening thier phone and seeing "Choose Input Method"

I sure wish there was a way to disable this annoying reminder. Sometimes I see it multiple times a day.
Doesn't bother me as its only showing in the notification bar when I'm typing.

It's only seen when a keyboard is on screen. Not an issue for me. Like mentioned before, you can just flash a rom with it disabled, but I like having up top when my keyboard is shown. Very convenient when using the Sixaxis app!

Tweakbox for the xposed framework has an option to disable it. I use tasker to switch keyboards based on app.
On August 29th at 02:14 my Note2 will become self-aware.
There are lots of things I hate but that option is not one of them.. That tiny little notification in the notification bar is barely noticeable
