Yes I tried that.

I'd suggest repairing the firmware via SEUS or PC Companion.
hey drew, try this method to check if there is a hardware fault
-> open the dailer application
-> type the following number *#*#7378423#*#*
-> go to service tests
-> select vibrator
-> test if the vibrator is functioning
if it vibrates then it is a software malfunction else your hardware is gone, get it replaced
Thanks for the suggestions guys. Neither worked. Looks like I'm going to have to live with it. Don't feel like sending it in and waiting on the repair. Missing the haptic feedback though.
Just got off the phone with Sony Ericsson. They say my phone is not under warranty since it just came out in the US. Anyway they will charge me to send it in for repair. I just did some searching for parts for the Arc hopefully to find the vibrator. No luck. All I'm finding is bezels. Anyone know where I can get it?
Found this on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Earpiece-Vibrat...596?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a115c7db4
I would assume this would be the same on LT15a.
Did this new vibrator works ?
I have same issue...
same issue
I also have the same issue with the vibrate feature not working.
I removed the part and tested the motor, and the motor still works.
So I doubt replacing the component would fix this issue.
has anyone has any luck getting vibrate to work again?
I had this problem a couple of months back.. So here is what i did which made the vibrator to work again.. I had just resetted the 'factory data settings' and after that updated my phone with the same firmware once again.. This solved my problem.. I cant assure if this will work with others or not but it did with me..
Sent from my LT15i
I do same. First I reset to factory. Then it appears that broke my wifi
So I use SEUS to restore the rom and all is back (wifi and vibrator).
I did a factory reset and reflashed, didn't work.
I did a factory reset then used SEUS to repair / reflash the phone and it didn't work.
I guess I'm out of luck
Thanks guy

Depends on how you unlocked the bootloader if you unlocked via setool or s1tool then no need to worry.

Well if you performed the testpoint then you could have unlocked it these ways...
1. Setool
2. s1tool
3. omnius
If you didn't then...
Official se method
Do you have working track ID etc etc
Have you accepted an ota update before and not bricked your device?

Hey guys, this afternoon my phone turned off itself becouse of the lack of battery life and then it completely lost its capacity to connect to the network ( in order to make calls ).
Its kinda rare becouse when I press and hold the power button to get access to the power menu it says "airplane on" when its off really, even after disable it keeping saying the same.
Ive already restored it, wipe everything in the device but Ive got still the issue going on.
Any ideas? Please I really need help
Thanks

It might be a problem with your carrier. So, I suggest maybe trying to go into places where there is really strong signal and try there. Maybe reboot a couple times. If the problem still persists, then contact your carrier and ask if they have anything to do with it. Because, I almost guarantee that's the problem.

I've already tried it without success, and even called my carrier and they turned to me the network was fine.
I reckon is a problem with the fact that airplane mode is turning on and off automatically
I'm so annoyed with this don't know what to do really

can you try your sim in another phone? or another sim in your phone
I have already tried both options, neither of them worked.
So the problem is with my phone but I'm really in trouble since I haven't got the guaranty of this phone because I traded it for my old device.

Flash stock rom, delete superuser or supersu, and take it to your carrier to complain. If the problem persist on stock then it's really nothing you can fix. You should be able to get a new device.

Surprising this is... I just cane across this exact problem today. I just removed my SIM Card, put it back in, then rebooted. After a little while I got my signal back.

Lucky you guys I havent found the solution to my problem yet :/
I'm having problems with my HTC One X. The problem was that the WiFi kept switching off whenever I was consuming data (the little WiFi symbol at the top of the screen would disappear and then reappear a second later). This meant that if I was using YouTube or sky go, the video would constantly stop playing and then restart. My phone was sent off to HTC for "repair" and its come back in a worse state. The WiFi symbol continually disappears whenever I'm using it now, meaning that the WiFi is switching off. If I try to download apps from the app store, the WiFi will cut out numerous times during the download and the percentage bar will say "waiting for network" until the WiFi symbol reappears. It's even cutting out if I'm surfing the web. This isn't a problem with my broadband at home because I have numerous other devices that all work fine on the WiFi. I've also tested my phone on a different WiFi network and have the same problem. So the issue clearly lies with my phone. Has anyone else heard of this problem and is there a way of fixing it?

As I suspected...all the devices HT23 seems to be affected by the "wifi problem"!
Start wifi from the phone and wait it connects then try to gentle press in the area at the top of the phone, on the right, near the volume button (under this area there is wifi card).
The wifi should never disconnect until you keep it pressed! Try!

That solution doesn't work with mine unfortunately. Its already been to HTC once for repair and they've apparently done the fix for the well known WiFi problem that you're referring to. It would appear that the fault with mine is something different. I've arranged for them to take it back for repair again. They've said that if they can't fix it this time, they'll replace it.

I got the WiFi problem 6months after purchase, what I did open it up and glued some foil onto the WiFi copper plate and put it together been working perfect ever since. If that fails after some time ill be soldering 2 wires from the pins to the copper plate done deal, my phones been rooted couldn't be stuffed taking the chance with htc repair.

Have you ICS or JB? Because I've found an issue in wifi when I was on ICS...wifi seemed not to work, but once I turned on the bluetooth the wifi magically worked (both wifi and bluetooth turned on--->wifi working / only wifi turned on---->wifi not working)!
However with the update to JB this issue was fixed.

Regrets in advance since i am not writing for solution, rather sharing same issue.
Brother I have same issue and what a diagnosed (I am an end user and not developer of programmer) that Data Sim is not compatible with Internet use and GPS navigation.
It is impossible to use navigation or maps for more than 30 seconds.
Tried service provider, they only reintalled software and retuned it saying its okay.
If you find any solution or if somebody else has a solution please do share with me as well.
Today my grand was in my jeans pocket and to my surprise i heard samsung boot animation sound ...
Took out the phone and found that its restarted by itself ...

Sorry that this exactly the type of post one hates to read when in your situation, my GPS experience has been the best I've had with any other phone, haven't tested after the recent update which broke some things for most of us.
ditto Litoven. Very good gps on my ZF2.
Have you done anything non-stock'ish on your phone, resource88? That would be the first place I would look.
If you haven't done anything odd w/ the phone, then I'd recommend getting it replaced since it just came out it's under warranty.

I may have deleted some apps after rooting but I wouldn't know what would cause the GPS to lose signal. At first I thought it was due to the phone being in my pocket but it loses signal while holding it as well. I don't remember this happening when I used GPS before rooting but I could be wrong.

I factory reset my phone, tested GPS and still get GPS signal lost & " searching for GPS". Now I have no clue what's the problem.
I had this same problem. Somehow it just fixed itself on my phone, I think after the next reset. I really don't know what might have caused it to constantly lose lock at first.
