Fixing a phone - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

So a while back i posted a thread about my E4GT being broken physically. The speaker was broken because of a disconnected circuit (i broke a golden clip off inside the case) and no vibration (the motor was transfered from my old phone and i believe i broke something on the circuit).
Anyway my dad just found my old junk phone (Samsung Intercept) and i was wondering if at the very least somebody could point me in the right direction for if possible to part swap between the 2 phones ( speaker and vibration motor to the E4GT)
Call me what you will, nooby or not, and i apologize if something such as this has already been posted (i doubt it but i didnt see any on search) but this would really help me out
[Solved]
a friend of mine had a spare one sitting around so i just jacked some parts from him

BLUE ANGEL: screws lost- loose contact

hello everyone!
as written above, i lost two srews of my blue angel. i am talking about the two screws on the outside, u will find one above the RECORD button on the side, the other on the other side.
since these screws are lost, problems started to occur. (not very surpising, i know)
the main problem is, that the blue angel now suffers some kind of loose contact and every time i put down the phone to hard (eg. on the desk) it resets and loses time & date! i think that this loose contact is somewhere located below the red END CALL button....
anyone expereinced such an error before?
can i fix this with new screws? (where can i get such tiny things....)?
or is my device now totally screwed?
answers appreciated!
krz
ps: is anyone actually understanding what i am trying to explain? it all sounds confusingto myself as well....
surprisingly this happened to me a few months ago,
took out my BA form the pocket and saw it hanging as 2 screws went missing..
luckily i found one in my pocket and for the second one... i just happened to pass on a mobile shop... asked him to fit in any screw in there..
the one he put in is a bit loose... but nevertheless it holds my BA together.

Replacement External Speaker?

My captivate's external speaker came loose a few days ago and the sound went dead every time it does. I can temporarily fix it by pressed hard on the back of the speaker and push it back to place however, every time the speaker is so loud (50% or higher) it came loose again. So every time someone call me or the arlam goes off, the sound went dead again.I took my captivate apart hoping I could tighten the loose part but the speaker is just one piece that is all glue together. I'm all for opening the speaker and fix it but Im want to make sure that it is possible. So I just want to know if you can open the speaker and fix this problem, if not is there a place or website that sell replacement for the external speaker? Most of the site I looked only sell stuffs like camera, back covers, and lcd displays.

[Q] About ARC hardware

Hey, Ok here is my situation...
Screen broke when I dropped my phone and after long searching I found a new OFFICIAL screen.
I started to install it and everything went ok apart from, when I booted my phone I lost vibration and my ear speaker is damaged.
These could have happened when the phone was dropped however the ear speaker is easy to do when I buy one...
My main question is what part of hardware is responsible for the vibration of the phone??
After searching through the service manuals and the net I cannot actually find the part that is the culprit.
Hope someone here knows
Thanks in advance...

[Q] Optimus Headset issue

I could use some help!
Here's the issue. The headphone icon is on all the time on my phone. Which in turns causes me not to be able to hear phone calls. For a short term fix I used an app to disable the headset, but the icon is still there.
It thinks there is headphones plugged in all the time, when there isnt. The phone is two weeks old. Hasn't been dropped or abused. I called AT&T and they are seeing if I can get an in store replacement. But I may have to be given a refurb already after two weeks
Anyways. The phone thinks there is headphones plugged in all the time. i tried pulling the battery, power cycling, using different headphone and plugging them in, pulling them out thinking something got stuck. But nothing.... It still thinks there is headphones plugged in. Now when I plug in head phones some google voice thing pops up asking me to speak into the phone, when I hit the back button my music will start playing thru the head phones....
Anyone else have this issue? I have looked down instead the headphone port and there is nothing in there that would be causing a blockage from the hardware detector that I could see (not to say there isn't something causing this)
Please help! AT&T is going to be calling me back and letting me know about a replacement sometime, but if someone knows what's going on I'd rather just fix it then start over with a new phone...
My guess would be that there is still some sort of short. I think you were right to suspect something stuck down in the jack, but it sounds like something inside the casing may be shorting on the terminals. Since you said it opened up the voice command thing, I would suspect that the 4th pole was triggered (or whichever the microphone button would be for a 4-pole headset). As far as I know, the microphone/media button is activated when the jack senses a short on a specific pole. But, it would have to think that you have inserted a 4-pole plug. I don't know for sure, but I assume it does this by checking opposite sides along the plug shaft to see how many distinct conductors are present. If it thought your typical 3-pole plug was a 4-pole, there would probably be another "conductor" present, i.e. the trouble-making short-circuit.
Unfortunately, it sounds to me that you have a hardware problem. If you were adventurous, you could open up the case and inspect for the short. It may be something simple lying across some solder joints or something. However, it is probably safer to simply get the warranty exchanged refurb. I have one myself since my original one had this obnoxious echo that the caller on the other end would complain about. The refurb unit works great!
It's a bummer, but I doubt you'll even know the replacement is a "refurb". Sorry I don't have better news or advice. Good luck!
I had a simile issue a while back...mine was resolved with a couple of swift taps on the table on the corner of my phone closest to the ear phone Jack.....
When the f*ck did we get ice cream??
Thank you.
I figured it was something to do with the little pegs inside. Luckily for me, since it was in the first 30 day period I was able to get a new in store replacement. normally for people its 14 days, but since I have a company account it's 30 days in store replacement. It was replaced with a brand new device.
The guy there was actually a little tech savvy and was saying the same thing. He tried a few things also, even looking inside and poking the pegs with a needle to see if one was lodged. Everything was OK though. Strange.
New device in hand! Works much better. It raises concern over a design defect though. I hate to go thru this again and get a refurb phone in a month because of the same issue.
Guess I will stop using it for a music player hooked to the stereo in my car and just use my old ipod touch for that.

any chance to find schematics of the pcb?

Hi guys, i have an issue...my phone dropped in water...everything is working fine (i swapped components with another phone) but not the charging part...battery is good...
disassembled the phone, in the pcb under the metallic plate there is a burned component...i have a friend that can replace it but i need the schematics of the motherboard to choose the right component (voltage, power ...)...i can't find online a schematic of the motherboard, can you guys help me ?
the problem is that phone won't charge, it gets power (with tester i can see it) but phone olny turns on for a second and then shutdown...i think the component is a power regulator or something like that
ps. sorry for bad english
Since you dropped it into water it's big chance that much more parts are screewed. I suggest you to disassemble phone and look to motherboard an electric parts are they rusty, rust will be white color if there is a lot of that than you shouldn't fix that part because a lot of stuff is broken or will break soon. You can try placing phone in supersonic bathtub but that won't help for long time in most cases. If your friend can replace part than he should know how to find that part if he have knoweledge in that area.
don't worry, the other parts work good...i swapped all parts (lcd, speaker, touch and more) with another motherboard and everything working fine...after i dropped in the water i cleaned the phone without turning on from everything...the only damaged part is that chip (burned) under the metallic plate...the rest is clean as new and working...if i can identify that chip (o what the hell is it) a friend of mine can replace it
Well, I doubt you will find scheme anywhere online. What you can do is to post picture of that part which is broken/burned and post picture to some forum for electronics maybe someone will recognize it.
Hey, is this (https://goo.gl/qMGcmV) what you're looking for?
i don't have the phone right now, i asked my friend for a picture but still no answer
thank you but no...i'm looking for the schematics of the motherboard...i'm putting a picture of the damaged component
