Yes your phone is still secure for banking apps, I use CIBC app all the time without any worry. You will not be able to apply auto updates if you root but you can always get the updates on XDA and apply them yourself. I haven't used a stock ROM or Kernel since I bought my first Galaxy S 3 years ago. Besides, if you get the updates from XDA, you will have them about 5-6 months before the auto update program sends them out.

K I didn't realize u weren't rooted already. ..but anyways the way I will get u to do this will take a Lil longer but it will work beautify. ..computer odin back to 4.1 1, then root it using cf auto root..... then install mobile Odin.....dl the new 4.1.2 firmware and flash it via mobile Odin..make sure the "ever root" option is ticked...profit...
Cf root from here choose the right one l317M

Ugh I have been contemplating rooting for a couple of days and I am still on the fence about it. I don't know what about it that makes me so nervous to do it. I keep thinking that it makes my phone less secure, even though I know that I just need to pay attention to what I give root access to.

It is a Videotron issue with their firmware. The connection is completely unstable with their rom. Any custom rom those not cause any failed connection. I would suspect their APN to be thw cause since I do get gateway failures only using stock.

Highly unlikely.. There has been no announcement or ETA on the 4.3 build for Verizon.. it was probably just a patch update not a version upgrade.

Time to give back to the community. Not too sure if this is already floating around out there or not but here's the TAR for the 4.3 update. I downloaded the update through KIES and was able to find the sneaky zip file on my computer before it deleted it away. Lo and behold, inside of that folder was L900VPUBMK4_L900SPTBMK4_HOME.tar.md5. This SHOULD update everything to MK4, including your baseband.

Off topic: The new 3G symbol is oddly groovy and the new keyboard is the shiz. I'm a huge fan.
Before you jump to conclusions.
1. I have been rooting for a long time, I am not new to this.
2. I have searched the forum and all the info I found including mkskips way to root using galaxy toolkit is outdated. Infact I downloaded GTK from skip's site and it doesnt even list 4.1.2 MC2 version on it. It lists MA7.
3. I looked up kingo app but it doesnt mention sprint note 2.
So lets cut to the chase and please let me know what/how are you guys rooting nowadays?

What are links to help me root my phone sorry I'm new at this. Gn2 sprint on 4.3?
I'm still using mkskips toolkit to root my Note 2. Was on MC2 a few days ago and rooted it just fine using the MA7 option which I believe is #92. Did it succesfully 2 times so I know for a fact that it works. Im back on MA7 now but its great to know I can continue using the toolkit if I ever go back to MC2.

Do you have any warranty on your phone? If you do, rooting may trip the knox counter and void the warranty.
