I found this app whole searching something, may be this app is useful for you.
This is a simple app to display
the time the CPU spends in each
frequency state. This can be a
useful tool in diagnosing battery
problems or tweaking your
overclock settings. It also
displays the current kernel
information and some other CPU
informations. The app is a
massive upgrade of Brandon
Valosek's version with a bunch
of new features.

SetCPU is better.
That's what I needed, better version of CpuSpy Thanks

So I have finally got round to taking control of my Play. Unlocked my bootloader, rooted, applied DooMKernel v14 and now have Gin2JelllyBean rom.
I've already managed to squeeze a day more battery life thanks for SetCPU down clocking while the screen is off. Now id like to look at undervolting.
From what I read, there should be an undervolting option active in SetCPU but it's not there. I thought DooMKernel supported this, so firstly I just wanted to ask if there is anything I need to do to activate it or if might have gone wrong somewhere?
Thanks in advance.

I have SetCPU too and it doesn't let me change the voltages. I am using IncrediControl for changing them, and it works
OC/UV Beater2 v1.7, allows setting voltages in an init.d script, so there aren't any unnecessary services running on boot
Thanks for the suggestions guys I will check them out.
Still confused why I can't use SetCPU though.

Be careful u dervolting, can actually decrease battery life. Never set undervolts to run at boot.

Now how do you figure that
i am using System Tuner Pro
all in one apps for CPU modding
but try SetExperia, its lightweight
How can i set my voltages so they can save for boot?
I use overclock widget

No i dont wanna overclock.
I just wanna know how i can get my voltage values to stick on boot.
Thanks anway

I'm taking a look at the SetXperia configuration and it modifies the following file: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/vdd_levels
First column are the frequency steps in hertz and the second column is the voltage for each step in mV.
You can use SetXperia too!
I know that, but the values dont save for boot.
Thats the problem.
Maybe you should ask in the kernel thread because that's a kernel feature. Wedgess probably will know the answer.
I'm on LupuS kernel as well. The Perm Activate button on Oc/uv beater 1.7 seems to work for me.

Hello,
i have htc wildfire s (marvel,rooted,s-on,stock 2.3.5 rom).i have facing problems with internal storage tweaks, like link2sd isn't working on my phone and also i have tried cronmod int2ext+ its working for a while (one-two weeks) then automatically my phone slow down and then restart self and all my apps data removed.
i dont know what is problem, might possible if i ported many different rom before?if anyone have solution please help.
Are you using stock kernel? Flash cake kernel or dust and try link2sd again.

im using stock kernel.can you send me link of both kernels and which one is best for good battery life? and also tell me about min, max, gov. setting for them because i dont know much.
and i just have to flash it via recovery ? i need to wipe anything like dalvik cache or partition cache?
thanks in advance.
I'm from phone so I won't be able to provide you link right now. You can search it in the development section.
You just need to flash the zip without any wipes or anything.
I personally like smartass v2 as it gives a balance between performance and battery with cfq scheduler. Set minimum to whatever doesn't give you lag and max to 787.

hey i m using cake kernel v1.4 by einstein frat
bt really i dont wana overclock my phone.i changed that setting.
my correct settings are:
122MHz-600 MHz
ondemand,deadline
my phone isnt lag.so is it good for good battery life?
or i should hv chose smartass v2 and cfq?
and really i dont want to overclock my phone so.
Smartass governor works better when it cones to savings battery as well as thrusting performance. I'd suggest you try it once. I really have no specific knowledge about any perfect input output scheduler but cm cones with cfq and i used to go with noop on my sense roms. It's all about smoothness isn't it?

And yeah with clocking to 600 Mhz you are definitely saving more battery than a higher clock so don't worry.

hey buddy.you were right, smartass v2 is better than stock settings.it gives me more life.
can you tell me min frequency is better when its high or low..like if i set min frequency to 122 MHz is better or 480 MHz is better?
i do what you said.i just flashed it without any wipes.so when i didnt wipe my old kernel so it overwrite it on? like stock kernel replaced by cake?
and im using set cpu app is good right?

Yes set cpu is good.
You can just flash kernel without any wipes.. Yes it should have replaced the old.
A lower cpu min cpu frequency is preffered but it should be high enough to cause no lag when unlocking the phone. 245 Mhz is the ideal frequency

Hello
I'm currently using a note2core asylum kernel which supports both cpu and gpu overclocking. My question is, how do I go about overclocking the gpu? Any help will be appreciated.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Don't need that overclock note 2 is an excellent phone more than a phone...my oppinion
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I know. Its all for.research purposes anyway
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I'm not sure if note2core supports stweak but that's the app you need to over clock. There are other but I prefer this one. It will give you a maximum slide to 1800mhz and also tons of other features such as adjusting charging amp, under volting including for the gpu as well. There's not much to know about over clocking as its pretty straight forward but you can change the xpu governor and the number of cores you want activated and how you want them to activate based on your usage. Under volting will help with both temperature and battery life although I find the changes almost insignificant, but you should try it out. If you want to undervolt start with around - 25mv.
Sent from the rabbit hole.
You are talking about cpu not gpu
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
Okay it's not that different. Just over clock it and undervolt at the same time to - 25mv and then download an app called stabilitytest from play store. Run it for 10minutes and see if you get any error. If not then further lower the voltage to - 50mv. But usually - 25 is good. I noticed that anything higher clocks peed than 5xxmhz starts causing error and graphic glitches.

Tried it. Note2core not supported

I want to over clock my phone and under clock it when I'm not using it to save battery life is there anyway to do this I've tried a few apps and they didn't do much
What is the lowest clock rate for the phone bc on the apps it puts it at 384
Thanks for the help

The lowest safe rate would be 384 but you would be a lot better off
to get the "JuiceDefender" app from the play store.
It has a lot of features including auto cpu frequency and you can set it up
so it automatically handles all options needed for the very best battery
savings modes without sacrificing performance...
My personal opinion which is not worth much is NOT to mess with
manually over clocking, under clocking or volting but instead use a
true and tried app like JuiceDefender to do all the work for you.
Check it out at the play store.
Thanks I'll try it out

Hey i got a question about CPU. Im running wicked rom with Deviant Kernel. My max and min freq keep changing. My kernel allows me to overclock to 1944 but i set it to 1620 and min at384. im using smartsassv2 and cfq but it keeps making my maximum 1350. no matter what i change the gov. to or the max. I reinstalled rom and and the kernel seperate. to see if it would make a differecne and same results. Please Please Please help me fix this
I'm not an expert but I think I can some what help you. Are you toggling the set on boot?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You need to install a custom kernel and possibly a custom ROM.
Then you can overclock/underclock to what your kernel supports.
I've seen kernels that allow min at 94 and max at 1944.
