How do i get get rid of the shutter click?
Sent from my LG-LS970 using xda app-developers app
Have not found a way - only thing you can do under sound settings change it to vibrate or silent... if in silent obviously you won't hear the phone ring, notifications, etc.
You can try this:
http://androidforums.com/viper-4g-lte-all-things-root/632186-guide-disable-shutter-sound.html
Don't know if it works...
Isn't there a setting in the camera settings? Shutter sound is the setting you can turn off in the camera.
Depends on country and laws, for example in korea camera will shutter even if you set silent mode and put headphones in.
So the only way is delete the shutter sound, which is kinda illegal

if you have root. you can just replace the sound file in the apk. with a 0 byte or null sound file.

Open build.prop in any text editor. There scroll down to "ro.camera.sound.forced=1"
Change that value from 1 to 0 like this "ro.camera.sound.forced=0"
Now open camera and go to sound option, "Off" option will be there. :good:
Just to add, on a Telus' E973, you won't get the "off" option, but if you put the phone to "silent" mode, you won't have any shutter sound after changing the build.prop.

Is there an easy way to turn the camera shutter sound off? Or change it?
Just pop the phone into vibrate. Other than that, I don't know :/.

I use Sound Manager V2 on the market. It's free.....
Get Quick Settings from the Market for free. Open it, go to Volume Control, tick the check box at the top and then click Set. Back out of the app and never worry about it again.
i use Widgetsoid 2 from Market
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jim2
quick settings is the best i been using it since the vibrant
This from stock ROM.
Menu>Settings>Volume
You obviously didn't read the thread title.

I'd like to vibrate on phone calls only and not sms, other basic Samsung notifications. Is there an app, workaround to make this possible? The default settings don't offer this option. Stock sms app preferred, not gosmspro.
Thanks!

that makes perfect sense. -_-
thanks man
each app has its own settings for sound and vibrate
you can configure SMS to not vibrate
and keep phone only to vibrate
Maybe it's just me but I've noticed this phone doesn't have some basic feature like most “dumb phone" have. I can't seem to find a timer and I can figure out how to turn off shutter noise even if I put the phone in vibrate or silent mode. I know you can download a timer from market but would of been nice to include in the phone.

Simply use the volume rocker when the camera is open to silence the shutter.

And there are plenty of timer apps in the Market

The whole point of Android is to customise how you want it. That's why it more or less comes with all of Google's apps and no other apps (by it I mean Google's phones).
Yea. Android has never had a timer by default.

camera_click.ogg
camera_focus.ogg
delete/rename those two and it'll remove focus & shutter sound. CM7 had the feature to disable shutter sound, should expect it in CM9.
Hey, I was wondering if there is any way to some how decrease the vibration of this phone when you get a text message. Like with the iPhone you can make it so that there is a silent vibrate when you get a text or you can make it the normal vibrate. The vibrate of this phone is ridiculous, and sometimes i like that and other times i dont so i was wondering it there is some sort of app where i can toggle the vibration intensity.
Settings -> sound -> vibration intensity ?
(Go to home screen and press the menu button to get to settings menu)

That's only for the haptic feedback. It won't work to decrease the messaging vibration..

I really don't see what's the problem. I keep mine on always vibrate. But if its really a big issue why not just turn the damn thing off?? Smh lol
