My computer doesn't recognize my phone anymore, charging works fine, phone works fine.
I tried every ROM I could download thru ROM manager and Goo manager, I just couldn't get it to work.
I would try to flash stock through ODIN but the computer doesn't recognize it =/
yes, I tried this on multiple computers.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did you try another usb cable?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
yup, 3 different cables 3 different computers
Is it still under warranty? If so, see if samsung will replace it.

no other solution eh...?
Not that I can think of. Maybe someone else will chime in soon.

bump...
I came home from grabbing a bite to eat. About 30 minutes had passed and I was wondering why I havent heard my phone in a few. Checked and the notification light was blinking. Tried to press the power button to turn it on and nothing. Pulled the S Pen out because that would make it come on and still nothing. Pulled the battery and now all i get is the "Samsung Galaxy Note 2" screen. If i leave it there, after about 2 hours it will make the T-Mobile jingle and go into a boot loop. The boot loop lasts until i pull the battery again.
My phone was not rooted, no ROMs or anything. Only apps I had that did not come preinstalled on the phone were, Facebook, Tweetcaster, Instagram, Hill Climb Racing, Subway Surfer and my banking app.
My Galaxy 2 did something similar but i blamed it on the ROM I was using and figured I had bricked it some way. My faith in Samsung products is declining....
Are you able to connect it to a pc and is it recognized through ADB?
If so, I would try using ODIN and dumping the stock firmware and start from fresh.

Yeah i tried that after i talked to TMobile and my replacement phone was on the way. It is recognized in ODIN but it takes about 45 minutes to complete the process and then it fails.
Weird. Had the same problem about a couple of hrs ago. Also I tried hitting the middle button. And turn on button and nothing. Turned it off. Took the battery off and waited about 30 secs. But it back in. And it worked. Never had happen to me...

Similar scenario/solution except never a bootloop.. just went from 6% battery to completely dead.
I didnt try to turn it on, but pressed (tapped power button) and the phone wouldnt do anything. It also didnt respond to a charge, plugged it in to several wall outlets in various rooms, until I pulled the battery for, like ive been trained through older droids, 30 seconds...
Replaced the battery, plugged it in and got it charging, waited til 20-30% before turning on phone to verify, and yes everything was working fine!!
No issues since

Dont know if thats SDS (don't know symptoms) but did you ever check to see if your phone is safe?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda app-developers app
can u explain what u mean by safe.....

Certain SGIII and GNII chips are vulnerable to SDS... I meant, by chance did he download eMMC Brickbug to verify what type of chip he has and if it chip was "vulnerable"?

My chip is good but one time my phone died from 6% and wouldnt start charging through any wall plug, so I then pulled the battery, waited 30 seconds, and it started charging.
20-30% later I turned on the phone, and it hasnt had an issue since (even through rom/kernal flashes)

Check that your usb is not Broken .... roms usually don't do anything with charging ... sounds like a bad usb port to me

Happened to mine a few weeks ago. I was on Jellybomb v13 with ma7. I flashed the ma5 radio and thats when it started to happen. At first it was intermittent and couldn't get it to duplicate at the sprint store(after I restored to stock rom). Finally they found out it was the usb port so now I got stuck with a refurb.

Have you switched usb cords? this happend to me then i went and found the actually cord and charger that was in the box and it worked. Or maybe if you have a cover over the phone the cord may not be making good contact? Both are worth a try!! cheap and free.....
I was on my T-mobile Galaxy S3 today when all of a sudden it turned off. It's now stuck in a boot loop and nothing I try does anything. I'm running Carbon custom rom 4.3 and I tried wiping my cache through clockwork and eventually tried factory resetting through clockwork but it always shuts off before I can choose anything. I talked to a Samsung customer service representative and they suggested I send in my phone. The only thing is that I'm rooted and running a custom rom, so I'm worried they're just going to say I'm screwed and that they won't replace it even though Sudden Death Syndrome happens to tons of people running stock and who are not rooted. Any suggestions?

After about 5 seconds the screen turns black. The charging light doesn't go on even when it is plugged into the wall too.
Leave it plugged in for a few hours and try again.. I think I saw a thread with this same problem but don't remember if they ever fixed it

Same exact thing happened to me over the summer, T-Mobile sent me a refurb.
Was working fine this morning..
Forgot to take it to work, 10 hours later..
I think it said it did a couple app updates...
Now all of a sudden I picked it up after getting home and the touch screen isn't working.
Not even in recovery mode.
In normal mode the very bottom buttons work....
I have no idea what to try or check..
Any help is appreciated..
All I can think of is to try a factory reset.

I tried taking out the battery for a while. Booting into Recovery mode.. Nothing worked..
The next morning I got up and looked at it.. All of a sudden it worked..
And has been working fine for the past couple of days..
Either weird.. Or there's a piece of hardware going bad..
Luckily I have a Note 1 for backup..
Sounds line you have a bit o luck on your side as well! Backup your important data soon if you haven't already.
