Look in /system/media/audio/ui
there you have PowerOn.ogg, not sure what the other file could be named

[Q] Windows Phone 7 Keyboard Sounds On Gingerbread Keyboard?

Love the Gingerbread keyboard, one problem. The sound is terrible! Would it be possible to replace the sounds in the Keyboard with those from the Windows Phone 7 Keyboard? I'm running Core Cell V1.4 with Buzz OC 1.5.1 kernel V1.06 if you need to know, so is it possible? And if so how do I do it?
Any bit of help is appreciated
I to am interested in the Windows Phone 7 keyboard sound. Does anyone have the sound in a wav file? or any audio format?
+1 here, I am very interested in the stock phone 7 sound on gingerbread keyboard as well.

Someone did extract the wav files for the sounds but they havent been able to get it to work for the keyboard
do you have a link to the wav files? thx
Works somewhat, need someone to try and fix it
I found WP7 sound files here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=840898
I used free http://alternativeto.net/software/formatfactory/about
to convert wp7 keyboard sound file .wav to .ogg
with root access, mount R/W, replace stock files in:
/system/media/audio/ui/
KeypressDelete.ogg
KeypressReturn.ogg
KeypressSpacebar.ogg
KeypressStandard.ogg
KbdAccentPicker.wav - didn't use
KbdFunction.wav - sound the same as spacebar.wav
KbdKeyTap.wav - converted, renamed to KeypressStandard.ogg , KeypressDelete.ogg
KbdSpacebar.wav - converted, renamed to KeypressSpacebar.ogg
I haven't figure out what is the right converting setting so that new file would work correctly (bitrate maybe?). When type fast, the sound couldn't keep up. Hope someone can help!
Attachment has all the files needed, original wp7 & android file, and the converted & renamed .ogg

Are you sure that the sound file does not have a long silence at the end of it?
you could also try editing the file to so that the sound you want repeats a few times all in the same file. I would recommend Audacity for editing it.
I think there are apps on the market that will edit audio files too, but I am not familiar with any of them.
I have never experienced this problem, but all my custom ringtones are longer then the amount of rings I have.

When I was on 4.0.2 stock, it wasn't rooted. Fully stock. No custom sound file problems like you have.
B32 AOKP was rooted though but it also didn't have that issue. I've been on Liquid since 1.3 came out and that's also been rock solid and doesn't have the sound issue you're having.
Have you tried factory reset?

[AUDIO THEME]WindowsPhone Sounds V.2

Hi all,
I was bored of annoying TouchWiz sounds, so I decided to replace them with some from Windows Phone that, IMHO, are better!
Simply flash the zip file with your Custom Recovery
Code:
Sounds replaced:
Charger_Connection
KeypressDelete
KeypressReturn
KeypressSpacebar
KeypressStandard
Lock
PowerOn
S_HW_Touch
TW_Low_Battery
TW_Touch
TW_Unlock
TW_Unlock_Puzzle
TW_Unlock_Glass
TW_Volume_contol
Unlock
To enjoy unlock sound, remove Ripple effect in Settings>Lock Screen>Lock screen options.
It could work on any device, better if with TouchWiz!
If you want to come back to stock sounds you find another zip attached!
Changelog
V.2
Fix LowBattery sound name
Many thanks to Venal_System for the idea!
thanks, worked perfectly!
Thanks a lot.....
but what if I want to restore the original sounds?
Could please provide us another file with the original sounds, so we can restore it if we want?

Custom Boot Sound Not Playing

Hey all, I am looking to change the tune when my device boots up.
I found info saying to change the poweron.ogg within system/media/audio/ui.
The current sound file is 85.03kb.
Its a good 8-10 sec long i feel.
When I created an ogg file from an mp3 (converted) its way over 85kb and its only like 4 sec long.
I feel that the sound is not playing because the file is too big.
Is this whats happening?
If so, are there any programs to shrink these mp3's to ogg?
If there is something else im missing, please let me know. Thanks!
One more think... What is the shutdown sound file name?
I dont see a poweroff.ogg. Thanks!!!

CTOS Bootup Animation

Hello all!
I claim no fame to this bootup animation. It's a CTOS Bootup from the game WatchDogs. I got the main animation zip from This XDA page in the G3 Forums. All I did was convert it to .qmg format so I can use it on my Note 4. it works perfectly on my phone using DynamicKat ROM.
Extract the zip and place the two files into /system/media and change permissions to rw-r-r- .
EDIT:For those implementing the sounds, it goes into /system/media/audio/ui
As always I recommend changing the original files to *.qmg.bak (* is the like files you are copying over) in case the world explodes, your GF dumps you, or the phone simply doesn't like being touched.
P.S. I shouldn't have to remind you, but just in case... Warranty is voided, do at your own risk, etc etc.

If you go to the link I provided in the OP, can scroll down the list of his available stuff till you hit the CTOS one. That's what I have here, just in .QMG format instead of a bootanimation.zip.
Looks pretty cool. I like the others posted on the op too. Is it difficult converting them? Thanks for this.

It's not that difficult, but depending on the size of the bootupanimation.zip and number of images, it can take a while to convert. I followed this guide and did it in a few minutes. Warning though, if you are doing this yourself the limit to this program is 255 images. The samsung converter seems to auto adjust the bootup size to the images used. Be sure to follow the guide to a 'T' and you'll be fine.
If you want me to I can do a few conversions or help you with some steps. Just let me know.
Thanks for the link. I'll check it out and I'll ask if I got any questions
Thanks works great on my side

That's a good idea, I've never been much for sounds with my bootup. I can look into how to make that happen though.

Wouldn't you know it, MAJOR blonde moment. That site I linked includes the bootup sounds. Updated OP with the zip to extract it and copy it over.
Lol ? thank u btw
Well, I'm having issues with the sound on bootup. I changed permissions and all, made sure the sound work while in the phone, and nothing during bootup. Could be the ROM I'm on. Using DynamicKat. I'm mostly deaf though so it might simply be a quiet sound. Lemme know what's up.

The original bootanimation.zip had 265 images, I had to delete a few in order to get the program to render the animation. It's limit is 255. That's why the sound is a little off for you. In the ROM I'm using, there was no PowerOn.ogg. had to look at another ROM to see where the bootup sound was located. It's where it should be but I hear no sounds. No big deal for me, glad it works for you though.
I c, my sound is on system-media-sound-ui hopefully that could help
Works great man. Liked this game and the boot animation is really cool
