luxio, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

A few changes have been created to help the fight against spambots. As such all new members (until they reach 5 posts...used to be 8 but I believe its been reduced to 5) will have some restrictions such as unable to post links, access to certain areas and also their first 5 posts are monitored and approved. Once you have reach this limit these restrctions will be removed.
Thanks for you patience in this matter
Rick
OK: I'm curious why I can't download basic stuff like MTTY, even though I'm listed as a "senior member" with over 100 posts. Insufficient privileges, but why?
I've brought this up in the moderator forum. Hopefully the admins can look into this for you.
Also, try the suggestions I made in reply to your other post.
Ta,
Dave

There are new restrictions on posting links / pics etc but there are not supposed to be download restrictions. As Dave said above this has been raised by the Mods and Admin is aware - but I'll check on it.
Mike
thank you i just need to get post counts up
You do not have permission to access this page
I get the You do not have permission to access this page message when I try to view http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639168 It's the MobilePad thread. Is the whole thread closed or is it about MY account? So far I have 13 posts.
Could someone of the senior members try to view that thread and report back here?
I'd apprectiate it.
Regards MaeSiuS
I can't access that thread too, so the count of posts would not be the problem.
I'd guess that thread got removed for violating forum rule #11:

OK thanks for pointing that out.

[Q] Anyone got the 7003 build installer

Hi,
I have a samsung developer phone, but the installed build is 6419. I don't have direct access to the connect directory, so I was wondering if anyone has the latest installable build? Pst or post a reply if you got any info
Just take the image from THIS.
How can I use that to flash the phone?
You probably need a driver + some weird booting key-press combination on the phone (it changes from phone to phone) before you can do it
It's the Samsung developer phone, no idea what is used to flash that one.
hello,
I have a similar question. I am using a developer build htc spark with a 6527 build version.
Noticing lately many of the new apps not installing or working correctly. Im pretty sure its the old build version. Any help updating to the current prod version is appreciated.
Unfortunately dont have access to connect either.
thank you
I'm guessing y'all are really developers then???

Why do ROM developers put BusyBox in their ROMs?

Why?
It is needed to have root on your device. Google it, to get more details
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
I myself dont know and it would be nice to have an explanation here as most of us are new to this rooting and bricking jargon simple explanations of these things will help "COMMUNITY" members hence why we have a section

BusyBox is a package containing a whole range of "program commands" and/or "scripts" (tools). It is with these extra tools, specific tasks can be performed.
Once a custom ROM has BusyBox installed, it means that scripts on the ROM and apps in the ROM can use make use of the tools to perform their tasks.
For example "dd" is a known linux command/tool for block-by-block copying and dumping. However "dd" does not exist until BusyBox is installed. Other popular tools are "uname" to get the kernels name/details, and "ls" is to list the contents of a directory/folder (similar to "dir" in DOS). There are about 50 or more of these commands packaged inside "BusyBox". Whenever there are new versions of BusyBox installed (as you may see in the changelogs for some custom ROM's), this is simply because BusyBox has included either new versions of some of its tools, or perhaps added additional tools to the package.
Hope that helps answer your question. However to be honest, I found all that out by SEARCHing this forum.

^^ hit the nail on the head. That's not to say that busybox is the ONLY way to get those tools. It's just the slimmest. There are more robust gnu equivalents of the tools that it includes, but they're nowhere near its tiny footprint.
Busybox is a pretty neat application though, since all of the tools that it provides are housed in one binary (busybox). The other commands operate with symlinks named appropriately for their function (su, etc.). The binary detects the name of the symlink that invoked it and behaves appropriately. It's commonly used in environments where not much space is available (recovery environments, embedded systems, etc.)

The main reason people here get told to Google a problem is because more likely than not, the answer you'll get from the search engine will be a page from XDA...
There's also a search box within XDA too, I found these pages using it, they would have answered the OPs question, there wasn't really a need for this thread.
Not trying to be rude but the search is there for a reason and these questions have been asked hundreds of times before

thank you all for the feedback it is much appreciated
oh and I did do a search but only on the HOX forum not the entire site, and Searching only th HOXX forum there were fragmented pieces of info, but anyways Thanks you guys

[Q] how to remove rsa fingerprint whitelist

With newest 4.2.2 version, android come with RSA fingerprint whitelist which I add my PC to it because I need to root it. However, because it is coorporate PC, how to remove the whitelist completely (I dont know if it was whitelisted in PC or device). Thanks.
Supposedly saved on your device, under /data/misc/adb/adb_keys
https://github.com/android/platform_system_core/commit/d5fcafaf41f8ec90986c813f75ec78402096af2d
I'd say it was whitelisted on the device itself, because it doesn't make sense that the pc would contain the list, since it is an android security feature.

Thanks. That is it! I suppose you cannot remove it if your device is not rooted, right?
What harm does it do, that some cooporate pc is whitelisted on your device?

Hotspot on T-mobile

Hello everyone,I'm with T-mobile and I have unlimited data plan. As some of you already know, T-mobile enables hotspot for up to 500MB for no extra charge, but I want more.So I rooted my S4 and installed the latest wifi tether v3.3 beta 1 and beta 2.
I selected S4 as a device, changed SSID and when I enable it I get a message that says "Tether started with error. Please check Show Log". (Basically did exactly the same thing the video shows)When I go to show log it says that file doesn't exist.I tried to change devices, channels, I rebooted the phone several times and still no change.
Is there any way to fix this or is there any way to hack T-mobile's 500MB restriction without the chrome and firefox user agent plug-ins?
Thank you.
