Hello everyone,I'm with T-mobile and I have unlimited data plan. As some of you already know, T-mobile enables hotspot for up to 500MB for no extra charge, but I want more.So I rooted my S4 and installed the latest wifi tether v3.3 beta 1 and beta 2.
I selected S4 as a device, changed SSID and when I enable it I get a message that says "Tether started with error. Please check Show Log". (Basically did exactly the same thing the video shows)When I go to show log it says that file doesn't exist.I tried to change devices, channels, I rebooted the phone several times and still no change.
Is there any way to fix this or is there any way to hack T-mobile's 500MB restriction without the chrome and firefox user agent plug-ins?
Thank you.

With newest 4.2.2 version, android come with RSA fingerprint whitelist which I add my PC to it because I need to root it. However, because it is coorporate PC, how to remove the whitelist completely (I dont know if it was whitelisted in PC or device). Thanks.
Supposedly saved on your device, under /data/misc/adb/adb_keys

I'd say it was whitelisted on the device itself, because it doesn't make sense that the pc would contain the list, since it is an android security feature.

Thanks. That is it! I suppose you cannot remove it if your device is not rooted, right?
What harm does it do, that some cooporate pc is whitelisted on your device?

i also get this with my s4 with a hp 9500 laptop!
any help would be good!
Since 4.4.3 was released, I've had issues with HIDs like Keyboards and PS3 controllers working reliably.
The devices get a key lock issue, and result in repeeeeeeeeeeeated keystrokes, or just no keystrokes depending on when the Bluetooth stream from the device freezes.
For the record, I am not a ROM developer. I do know you can make a flashable zip fairly easily, as described in a few threads here on XDA.
I'm trying to work out whether it would be possible to create a flashable ZIP of just the bluetooth components from Android 4.4.2 and flash those over a 4.4.3 or 4.4.4 ROM.
My thinking is that flashing the previously working bluetooth components would fix the issue, and restore stabilty to the OS.
I'd be very interested for opinions from ROM devs whether this approach could work, or whether loading a previous versions' bluetooth stack would cause more instability.
Pleeeeeeease read the Forum Rules on posting as this does not belong in the Development section, thank you.

My apologies.
For the record, I did read the stickied post in this forum, but didn't realise questions *about* development were not welcome in the Development forum because I didn't read down far enough when it finally got to the Categories definitions. Maybe this should be promoted up the list a bit in the stickied post? There's a lot of information to parse in that sticky for a first-time reader.
Mods, please feel free to move to N7 2013 Q&A (I take it this is the correct place?)
Again my apologies for the mistake.
For the record, I think I might have resolved this issue.
In Android 4.4, there is a setting in Wi-Fi for Power Saving. Turn this feature off and the issues with key repeats and pauses disappear.
I ALWAYS WANTED TO USE MY NEIGHBOR wifi network. the have speed networks 50 Mbps.....that was fine with me, SO I DID A RESEARCH HOW I CAN HACK SOMEONE PROTECTED NETWORK, WITHOUT ASKING FOR PASSWORD.
I SAW THIS FORUM( Mod Edit: Link Removed )someone posted on forum, WIFI HACK TOOL i downloaded the app. and it works........

I have a galaxy 20 5g + Sprint \ T-mobile ? I believe it's a Sprint
IMEI 355 464 111 414 297 - I have flashed Roms and rooted with TWRP and Clockwork recovery on an HTC evo 4G, Some droid on verizon for the girlfriend, I Have Odin installed, it sees the device, I'm a nerd I know the risks of bricking a device, if I have the right files and flash\recovery I think I can do it- I am begging you guys for help - I DO NOT want to wipe factory reset, unless I can recover my data... My Girlfriend in canada tried to set up a samsung pay linked to her card- it didnt work, i restarted the phone and I am looking at a lockscreen with a pin i didn't know i had to write down- ***494 I don't remember the first 3 digits - ADB is not enabled nor is developer mode. What are the options - can i bypass the lockscreen by flashing a new rom ? or stock rom? I own the device I can prove it- nothing malicious - is there a reputable pay service or what do you guys think? again ADB is not enabled - ODIN recognizes the phone when its connected to a windows laptop. have called samsung they say factory reset - tried to remote unlock with samsung account- that was supposed to be enabled by default... I did not disable it. Can use Ring- ping, via Find my mobile - can change the emergency contact and lock screen message and extend battery life and see location (in my home)
I'm not a n00b - Im tech saaavy - I've built computers and used Cyanogen and MIUI and Clockwork and Team Win RP, I am accepting I might have to lose my data, and Im not giving up - Currently at 36% and i've been locked out for five days - Phone says enter pin to restart... this device cannot be powered off because Find My Mobile is active...
Still have access to samsung find my mobile ,

Hello everyone,
Hope everything is fine with everyone except my phone. Yesterday, I don't know exactly how, buy my phone stopped receiving or making calls my both SIM network signals are showing, SMS working, Data working but calls are not.
I searched on internet done everything it possibly suggested but still no solution, can you please help me?
Solutions I used:
Reset Network settings, removed phone and related apps caches
One solution didn't work on my phone: change the network coverage from LTE to lower like 2g,3g... Phone code isn't working... I didn't find those settings from my phone settings.
(Edit: I forget to mention my phone is Chinese, I've read in this forum that Chinese phones stop working after 2 weeks and I've passed two weeks after buying and verifying with my govt. I paid tax more than half of the value of my phone to my govt to unblock me imei # .. I think I can't install any other custom ROM to make this phone work because my IMEI # would be changed and I've to register those again with my govt)
Regards,
The only solution so far has been to take/send the phone to an official Oppo/OnePlus service center to unlock it.

What if I install another custom ROM or official global ROM? Would this change my IMEI #?
If so is there any way I can keep my same IMEI # registered with my govt and upgrade to another ROM?

Flashing non-native ROMs is extremely risky and may results in a bricked device and yes, lost, IMEIs.
