Hi Guys,
I followed the guy as follows(Repeated 3 Times) and has successfully updated the my Lumia 900 ROM to 7.10.8779.8 -> 7.10.8783.12 .. and then again to 7.10.8858.136 ..
wmpoweruser.com/windows-phone-7-8-update-now-on-zune-regardless-of-carrier-and-model/
Internet Disconnect trick (REALLY WORKS!!!)
1- Turn off cellular data, and Wifi on your Lumia 900 or WP device(see below).
2- Connect to Zune, check for updates and time yourself by counting "1-1000, 2-1000,etc". Stop counting when it says your phone is up to date and remember it.
3- Change to a different tab other than update in the settings.
4- Disconnect phone, then reconnect it.
6- Now, get ready. You will need to hit the “Update” button and unplug (Or disable your NIC card in Network and sharing center) the network cable from your computer at about minus 1-1000 (if you counted to 8-1000 for update check, then disconnect at 7-1000) after hitting this button. It will present an update is available!
7- Remember to reconnect internet, then hit Update!
8- Now update!
There will be three updates.
First Update will be some fixes to app purchasing and marketplace.
Second Update will be some fixes to WP and support for phones without camera hardware button.
Third Update will be the main WP7.8 update itself.
Thank you for the step by step instructions. I was able to update my Nokia Rogers phone on TELUS network after several tries but was the effort. My recommendation is to use ethernet cable.
So much nicer.
Confirmed that this worked for both my AT&T Lumia 900 and LG C900. I was able to update both to 7.8.
Confirmed that this worked for both my AT&T Lumia 900
It took me around 100 tries but it works on my Omnia 7
Made it work, at last. Timing the disconnection from the internet is VERY important.
Took me quite some time to find the perfect timing...
It took about two dozen tries but I got it to work. What I didnt realize was that I would have to do it again to get the subsequent updates. I only had two windows phone updates before getting to 7.10.8858.136 update.
There was also a Nokia update after I got the two windows updates.
Finally, when all was said and done I could not text nor use the internet despite showing an LTE connection at the top left corner. I turned on Wifi and was able to use online services and text. I turned it back off and it continuted to work so not sure what that was about.
Worked for me... Thanks!
worked for me and I also updated my HD7 to 7-8,,,
Still not working for me if I connect to Zune with my phones Wifi and Celluar data offf I get an error from Zune saying it can't check for updates.
Not sure how or why this works.....but it worked like a charm for me. It took about 4 tries the first time, but after that I had no problems. Updated and definitely liking 7.8 on first impression.
I'm still kind of ticked about not being able to get 8 on a phone I've only owned for a few months....but it works well, so I suppose I can put up with it until my contract expires or I decide just to buy something new.

As I mentioned earlier, timing the disconnection is very crucial. For example, I used my laptop with a netstick (USB cellular modem).
The client which connects the netstick to the internet shows the data usage. I noticed that when searching for updates with Zune, the data usage steadily grows until in about 8 seconds since I started looking for updates with Zune - the action reaches to a usage of about 650Kbps and then quickly declines to 0kbps.
I found out, that after a second the connection speed declines (e.g., goes below 650Kbps) - that is the "sweet spot" to disconnect from the internet and then Zune finds the update.
It worked for me all 3 times (there are 3 updates from 7.5 to 7.8 - one is a minor update, the second is 7.8, and the third is a Nokia minor update) when I timed my disconnection to that "sweet spot"...
Hope it helped somehow. I tried to update a million times before, and until I realized how to time it right, I didn't succeed - once I got it right, it was easy to reproduce it.
Nope, still a no go.

Many of us have problems forcing mango onto our devices. Figured I'd start a thread rather than have everyone jumping threads. Let me know if you guys have any luck!
Is it that 3 second step cause I had to try it like 30 times before I got it to work
I follow the instructions but no matter what I do I either get the "Your phone is up to date" message or the "Can't check for updates right now. Please try again later"
Worst part is my dad just got home and I tried to do the trick with his and I got it on the first try.......
Ok, I created an account just for this. Finally got mine to work and this is what the problem is. In my house I have my PC, my fiances laptop who is also playing l4d2 on our 360, connected to our net. So I have a bit of latency between me and the M$ servers.
1.What I did was went to the update tab and let it tell me there were none, then switched tabs.
2.I opened notepad, clicked the update tab in zune and counted; once it told me my phone was up to date I typed the number into notepad.
3.Then I switched tabs, waited a second or two, and repeated step 2 about 4 more times. I averaged about 15 seconds.
4. Knowing it took about 15 secs to tell me i was up to date I waited longer than just 1-2 secs before disconnecting, and instead waited about 12-13 secs. After about 5 times I got the update message, and am updating now.
Instead of manually disconnecting my Ethernet cable EVERY SINGLE TIME P) I just opened my network connections, and disabled my Connection; it made it a bit faster and more accurate.
Hope this helps, and please spread the word!
Edit: I'm on a Samsung Focus v.1.3 with AT&T (I hear the 1.4 won't be able to be updated until next month )
Edit 2: So, as mentioned before this was a 3 part update, after the initial update it still told me there were no updates, so I had to go through the same process. I got the second update, and am now (I believe) installing Mango itself
Tried disconnecting by disabling network, 7-8 secs after clicking update, works like charm, thanks.
No matter what i try i just cant force the mango update..
please help..ive tried everything...i either get unable to check for updates or up to date
Unlocked Htc Hd7 originally on O2 uk but now using and orange uk sim..
it worked for me previously on NODO
try this
FOR THOSE THAT IT WONT WORK FOR READ THIS!
click check for update like normal but have your phone in hand and ready to set to airplane mode at the time where you would normally dc your computers internet.
I did not have to dc my computers internet, just the phones and it worked perfectly for me.
In my case I had to switch to airplane mode at ~34 seconds.
It helps if you time it the first time and see how long it takes to tell you your phone is up to date and then subtract about a second. GL hope this helps

I timed and the time for me to get a response of up to date is 3 seconds. I tried disconnecting my usb wireless adapter and then ON airplane mode at 2 seconds, tried about 8 to 10 times each, didn't work. I'm using a HD7 with 7720 RTM.
optimus 7 with 7720 rtm, disconnect trick not working, i just hope that in a week or so, this update will be available for all, and i think this whole trying 100times to take out ethernet cable is not worth it.
I heard the difference between official and rtm is barely noticable, so lets just wait : )

I had both search for update options off, but I don't think it affected anything, and I'm not sure switching it to airplane mode would make much of a difference either. I think it's more about getting your net off at the EXACT moment. The second time I had to do it, I ended up having to try roughly 30 times, with a break in the middle to play some TF2 and blow off some steam , and my time kept fluctuating depending on who was doing what online. So it will be time consuming and an absolute pain, but that's only because we're doing something the Zune software wasn't intended for.
3 Seconds
3 seconds disconnect the LAN cable worked for me like a charm.
Force worked well for me. You really have to disable wireless within 1 split second.
Now d question is, if this forced update works for any of us, why don't Microsoft just push it to us. Is there a reason y it isn't pushed to us?

The reason they're doing a slow rollout, is so they can detect any problems and fix them before too many people have it. Say a feature that worked fine in beta, didn't work right when installed through zune, they would know when only 10% of it's users had it, instead of all of them. It's a great way of putting such a big update out there, but I'm impatient

So, after reading the posts in this thread I timed how long it took to show no upgrade, subtracted one, and then followed the instructions in this post, used the airplane switch -->on after that amount of time (for me it was 5sec) and immediately I got the message that an update was available (backing up as I type this). I realize that not all of my wishes for a perfect upgrade will be answered, it will be nice to have the latest OS from MS on my device (HTC ARRIVE)

help needed please..ive again tried eveything but i still cant force the update..
in u.k......
Well, I get to the 7392 update part, but when finishing the update it always gives me the 80080140 error message: "Can't update your phone at this time. Please try again Later". Tried everything from the WP Support Tool to a factory reset and still no Mango. I have the Focus v1.3 so i don't have the v1.4 waiting period issue.
Seems like many of us on Mango RTM are not able to get the final OEM firmware update.
In the case of my trophy, my firmware & radio versions were obsolete & it leads to instability in the Bluetooth stack + occasionally touchscreen issue. Zune also occasionally hang when changing song.
HTC Connected Media doesn't work as well. It's not a showstopper but why can't MS just push those files to us now? It's actually pretty small. Are we the 2% that MS say aren't eligible?
Hi,
I've just installed Windows 8 Consumer Preview and then installed Zune.
Now, when I plug my phone Zune says:
CONNECTION ERROR
Can't connect to your phone. Disconnect it, restart it, then try connecting again.
I tried these solutions but with no luck: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...ur-phone/a114fabb-c1df-4204-9520-eb76ff40660d
I have an Omnia 7 with mi7ROM.
Thanks in advance
Revert back to Windows 7
I heard somewhere that you have to install the whole Zune package manually and that it's a pain to do so, I will look it up and post it as soon as I can find it.
I have just done a fresh install of Windows 8 CP, everything is working lovely and smooth except Zune for Windows Phone. I have installed Zune but every time I attach my phone I get the error that it "Can't connect to your phone. Disconnect it, restart it, then try connecting again".
I have tried this multiple times, also I have reinstalled Zune, searched Microsoft support (there are a number of people with the same error in Windows 7, but the certificates that Microsoft talk about don't exist on this installation).
I had no problem with it in the DP.

Known problem. Sorry if already posted. Had same thing. Has to do with leap day. Ms acknowledged problem. Happens on win7 as well if you do a fresh or new phone connection to Zune. Put system a day forward to March 1 and it will work. You can the revert back to current date.
Hello All,
We're currently having success in resolving this issue by altering the date on a PC to March 1st, 2012.
Once the date has been changed, close the Zune Software and disconnect the Phone, then go ahead and reconnect the Phone and the Zune Software should start automatically. If not, go ahead and start the Zune Software as normal.
Ideally, the Phone should be detected and you may have to go through the process of naming the Phone and checking for updates again.
Right now, this is just a workaround, however.
Kind Regards,
Matthew N.

Well, I got my HTC titan yesterday and have this connection issue.. I spent almost 9 straight hrs searching thru the web and tried all possible solutions.. Even those that seems ridiculous... None worked...tried fresh install of zune, different computers, reset my phone countless times... Worst is that the delete cert method cause my omnia 7 to stop working altogether.. Darn!.. Gave up and went to bed after midnight a sad sad man..
Interestingly, this morning, everything work!! Coincidentally, todays 1st march...
Not sure what happened, made me think that it could be Zune need to settle for a while.. But, I am a happy man today!
Mine is working relatively well, for the most part. Zune seems to detect it just fine until my phone goes to the lock screen, at which point I have to unplug and reconnect it. Aside from the it seems to work perfectly.
Now, the Windows Phone Emulator doesn't work at all.
I had same issue, HTC Titan. And I did all, reinstall, reset etc Zune and Phone. But after reflash my phone with firmware:"You can find HTC Titan, firmwares in HTC Titan Section." all worked.

Supposedly they are trying to come up with a new Music Player that goes across all Windows devices and they are actually thinking about doing away with Zune, I know that apps will now be available via a app store kind of like on Android instead of Zune.
I have had my Lumia 900 UK model for 2 days now (this is my 2nd handset) and have had the same problem appear on this one as I had on the 1st. I returned the first for a different problem though.
This issue is that the Nokia Collection and Orange Selection menus have disappeared from my Marketplace and I cannot install any of the Nokia App (ie CNN or EPSN) or Orange App which I could install when those options were there.
This started yesterday when I put a T-Mobile pre-pay/PAYG sim in the handset in an attempt to activate a 1-year free internet offer (different story altogether). When I put the Orange sim back, the marketplace no longer had the 'Orange Selection' available. The Nokia collection was still there.
So, last night I though I'd try a phone reset and see if that fixed it. It was a 1 day old phone so I was only really wiping 5 text messages. However, after the reset I lost the Nokia apps from the marketplace too. I reset again and still no change. I've used the ReInstaller app to get everything back on my phone, BUT any of the Nokia or Orange apps refuse to install, with the 'this app is not for your handset' message displayed on the marketplace page for the app.
So, I'm hoping this has been a regular problem for which the XDA collective have a solution for. Please help.
I'll post the same on the Lumia 800 forum and that device has been here in UK for months and may have more readers, but any help from 900 owners is hugely appreciated.
Thanks,
DC
This is happening to a few people. I think it has to do with the backend changes on the server going on by both Microsoft and Nokia. My girl lost her Nokia apps for about 2 weeks before they randomly reappeared. Over on the WPCentral forums somebody posted a fix, though I never tried it. They said to go into the XBLive hub, go into the marketplace from there, browse around, go back out, and it supposedly fixes it. I've never tried and you can go over there to see if I missed any steps.
Embarrasingly, a simple sync with my PC and Zune has fixed this.
Thanks.

something to keep in mind. The marketplace is divided into multiple parts. No, I'm not talking about apps, games, music. I'm talking about storefronts. You have a few...first, the windows phone marketplace...the base model. Then you have the oem model...for the nokia's and samsungs of the world. Then the carrier marketplace, for the oranges and ATT's of the world. Not every oem or carrier has a storefront.
My guess is the swapping of seems impacted the activation sequence, disrupting the population of the acceptable combinations of marketplaces.
Many people have noticed the lumia seems to have many situations where response appears slightly delayed. Activation is one of them. Most likely the correct combination of marketplaces would have appeared anywhere from a few hours, to a few days, as mentioned above. When connecting to the PC and Zune, you simply synced with hard wired drivers that reached to the low level bootloaders to recognize the who and what of the device. This is the same sequence used when checking for updates. Eventually it would have occurred at the ota level too...during whatever the WP recheck sequence currently is.
Hi all, I recently got a Surface RT and reinstalled Windows RT on it as brend new device.
Windows starts from RT 8.1 and after some updates (almost 70) it updates the Surface firmware and switch to Windows 8.1 RT update (1). From that a few more updates and than my Surface can't find any windows updates and can't install Store Apps.
The Windows Update keeps being stuck on "serching for updates" forever and the Store apps won't install giving me an error about my slow internet connection.
I know for sure that the last Update is the update 3 for Win RT which I won't ever be able to install. I'm pretty sure that some update screwed my Windows Update center. I've re-installed a fresh new Win few times and alwyas got stuck at this point.
Any help?
Hi,
I have a very similar problem at the moment. I refreshed my surface 2 last week as the storage had filled up and couldn't be cleared by any other normal means. After reset, the first batch of updates would install but afterwards would get stuck on the "searching for updates". I have reset several times with the same problem occurring each time. Finally I reset using a usb recovery following the guide given on windows central forums (wont let me post link)
This time after installation, even on the first check for updates, it gets stuck. Been running now for over 24 hours and still nothing.
Hopefully someone on here will know the answer. I will follow this thread with interest.
---------- Post added at 07:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:53 PM ----------
Typical, no sooner had I written the post above then the search for updates finally finished after 25 hours. 262 updates found and ready for installation. Turns out that nothing other than (extreme) patience is required for the problem to sort itself out. It might be worth adjusting your power settings so that your surface does not go to sleep and hence interrupt the search. Good luck and hope it works out for you.
Hi and thanks for answering, I don't feel alone anymore. Here's my story:
The first time I resetted Windows was just after purchasing my Surface, brand new Win on and I used my surface for almost a week, researched for updates and installed it (firmware update and something like 76 first and 35 later) till the Windows RT 8.1 update (1).
I realized something was wrong as soon as Windows Store started giving me the same network error for each app I was trying to install. Looking for windows update was stuck on "Checking for update" for more than one hour (standby time on AC plugged in setted to never). Latest update available for the Surface RT is the Windows RT 8.1 Update 3.
Restored Windows, kept my apps but removed all the updates. Windows Store worked again, same for Updates. Installed two cycles (just like before) and again same situation... Windows Store started giving me the same network error for each app I was trying to install, looking for windows update was stuck on "Checking for update" for more than one hour (standby time on AC setted to never).
I tried every fix coming up on the web: wsreset, windows troubleshooting app for windows update and windows app and even deleting the SoftwareDistribution folder.
At this point I chatted with an MS employ through Surface assistance web page. She suggested me to reinstall a fresh windows copy from Microsoft web site using a USB drive and so I did...
Yesterday night it all came back, second cycle of updates, Windows Store started giving me the same network error for each app I was trying to install, looking for windows update was stuck on "Checking for update" for more than one hour (standby time on AC setted to never). I again tried all the fixes, nothing worked and so I restored Windows keeping my apps.
I'm now typing from my Surface, just restored but no updates installed yet. I'm really getting upset to MS for all this ****. Hope you get more luck.
Next week I won't need my Surface to much so I may try looking for updates for more than 24 hours and see if I can get out of this updates cycle.
Looking forward for better news and know if thing are working for you.
P.S. Text me the link you were talking about.
Updates: I've installed the KB2029xxx update (Update 1) and after that, as alwyas, Windows won't find any other update. I've let it check for more than 24 hours but still on "checking for updates".
Don't know what else to do.
Hi, I think it's about their servers aswell. I've tried everything and more to get out of this situation but nothing worked.
Last thing I did yesterday was:
1. Flush DNS "ipconfig /flushdns"
2. Run Windows Update troubleshooting
3. Checking for updates
And again is was stuck for hours till I gave up and shut it down.
The main difference is that flushing in DNS clear the Windows Update cache so it now looks like no updates are installed and updates history is blank.
Nothing changed tho. I guess MS removed (or blocked?) updates after Update 1.
Somewhere, somehow, I've red it's possible to "cook" your own ISO of Windows RT including major updates.
I'll find more out.
Keep us updated, the longest time for me was about 27 hours.

I checked again last night (48 hours) and again this morning. The Windows update bar was still scrolling away doing nothing. However, when I right clicked to shutdown, I now had option to 'Upsate and restart'. Choosing this it began installing 183 updates.
This was all done with Surface2 plugged in, sleep set to never, running via Wifi to 1GBps fiber broadband. I'm just happy it actually did something. Data must be drip-feeeding in using BITS at inperceptibly slow rate. So good news, it can work but just barely.
Wish you luck with yours. Hopefully @never_released can provide us an alternative OS solution in near future.

Great news. What would you suggest now? I can't let my Surface RT plugged for 2 days 'cause I need it, however I was thinking about pluging it in and let it check for updates during the night time, should be about 10 hours per day, and repeat this process till I find the magic "Update and Restart" button takes over the classic restart.
I've alwyas been checking using the metro Windows Update and not the Desktop's one.
Same issue here on my surface 2. I bought it off a buddy and reinstalled windows from an image found on the MS website. after installing the first batch of updates it just keeps searching. I found that while its searching I cannot download apps from the store it keeps spitting back the network is not fast enough despite being able to watch NF on multiple devices at once. its starting to bug me a little bit cuz i do want the new start menu.
Its not confirmed yet, but it might be worth to mention.
I've contacted Microsoft for this problem, and after hours, maybe days of troubleshooting they finally came to the conclusion that its pretty annoying.
However I did a request for making new system images (for the RT devices) since they are not supported by updates anymore.
The request has been sent and awaiting response. Let's all hope that my request will be get through and we will get new recovery images which are up-to-date anywhere soon.

Looks like that the ony way to go trought this at the moment is to just let your Surface check for updates, AC pluged, never set to sleep, for something about 30-40 hours till, still checking for updates, opening the shutdown menu shows the "Update and Restart" option.
I just had an idea. Maybe it could work maybe not but the people who where able to receive the updates on surface rt/2 upload the contents of their SoftwareDistribution (including Software distribution.Old if present) folder located in the windows folder so us that can't get them can just install them manually. Just an idea tho.
Quick update after factory reseting my surface 2 and attempting to do the first batch of updates I found that a bunch of my important updates fail to install. Causing my tablet to loose ability to install apps and find updates no matter what fix I try. Going try installing updates manually over the next few days and see if that helps.

Mine also had many failed updates in the first batch of 64. Keep doing update/restarting. Once you get through that initial batch, they seem to more/less succeed after that.

I've gotten through about 3 sets of updates further then I've gotten before. This time I didn't use my Microsoft account and just made a local account and I only installed the one that were auto ticked I figure I've don't about 120 updates now. It's checking for updates atm but hopefully by morning it'll be done.
Hi. Windows RT 8.1 update 3 is here. But the update problem remains.

oh well thanks for that. I just hope that maybe they will make a recovery image with all the updates pre-applied. or even unlock it for us but that's just being hopeful.
now I keep getting "connection too slow" error from the app store and when I run the troubleshooter I keep getting "service registration missing or corrupt - not fixed" I've contacted support via helpdesk but they are almost useless and i cant go to the surface support because it wants me to pay because my warranty is up.
Edit- just after typing this they put me in contact with someone from the surface department. hopefully they can help fix these issues.

The Windows Update Troubleshooter always says Service Registration Missing or Corrupt. Even on a freshly recovered Surface RT/2.
It claims to fix the problem. Run it again, it detects no issue. But this only lasts until you restart. After restart, it behaves same as before. I think the Troubleshooter is actually just incorrect.

Mine won't even fix it
these issues are really starting to bug me I've reset my surface 2 about 10 times within the last 3 days. even if they stopped supporting the device we should be able to update and use it on the latest updates with no problem. talking to support is useless they always tell you to do the same steps over and over again.
So tantalizingly close to full functionality of Verizon Lumia 735 on T-Mobile network, but after a blissful full day of trouble-free operation, back to phone not connecting to LTE, with connection to lower-speed signal cycling on and off.
Timeline:
On July 23rd, had phone working well after upgrade from WP8.1 to 10.0.14393.1480. While travelling in Canada (home service is in US) phone continued to work well. Until I connected to hotel WiFi on 8/8, and - thank you automatic updates, and why can't I find a way to make hotel WiFi be seen as a metered connection?? - received an update to 1593. But that update didn't successfully complete due to me not being connected to WiFi when system restarted later in the day. Phone stopped working reliably at this point.
At home: fresh install of 8.1 via Windows Device Recovery Tool - phone functioned well, picking up LTE wherever present. Ran that for a few days without problems.
Upgrade (via regular channel - upgrade advisor app, phone update settings panel). After all updates successfully completed, phone was again running 10.0.14393.1593. Bad behavior immediately after 1593 update, but one more power off/on restored normal operation. I had a full day of excellent operation with this setup - in fact, stronger / more consistent LTE than I had been getting with 8.1.
...and then... nothing. Phone just stopped picking up LTE, is mostly without signal, and no amount of power cycling or soft resets kicks things back in line.
I've tried:
Added MMS APN as I had done in the past here. Didn't expect that to have an effect, and it didn't. But I had that change in place last time my phone was working, so what the heck.
Showed and then selected "4G only" as highest connection speed in SIM settings. (To make option available, used Interop Tools to add registry key HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Cellular\MVSettings\IMSISpecific\Default\CellUX\HideHighestSpeed4GOnly = dword:0). With this setting in place, network search shows multiple LTE networks available. But selecting mine (T-Mobile LTE) still resulted in SIM settings showing "no network found" for active network.
Tried to get more detailed information via Field Test (enabled ##3282# as per here, for instance. Sadly, this appears to not be a functional option for my phone. Field test launches and gives me the "do not change any values..." warning, but after I click accept, it shows nothing other than the "field test" text at the top of the screen.)
I have only guesses as to why my phone went back to crap functionality after things went swimmingly for a day: background restore of earlier backup? Silent update of one or more Windows components a day after 1593 update was completed? Attempted silent update failed? When bad behavior set in yesterday, it was a few hours after I connected to WiFi - possibly relevant. Running Pasquale Pignataro's Device Diagnostics Hub always shows "Backup Assistant Plus" as one of the processes currently running. I'm guessing this is the non-functional Verizon thing I can't delete nor configure nor run from the control panel; but since it's a Verizon thing, it could possibly be messing with my off-network bliss? Or there is a Microsoft app/agent with the same name and it had a hand in my day-after-fix problems?
Wish my question could be more focused, but that's all I've got. Hoping some of you might have an idea of where I can start digging.
After hard reset, and turning off automatic app updates, phone did pick up LTE perfectly with 10.0.14393.1593 installed, and again worked for about a day before tanking. On the bright side, the loss of functionality isn't permanent, (though it's unpredictable and finicky). Basically: Once LTE is connected properly in one location, I have a very good chance of continuing to get LTE wherever I go. However, at any point, if/when I lose LTE signal, the phone can fail to see it for reconnection - it gets stuck cycling through none/2G/3G/none... for phone signal. I've had some luck getting it back into a good state with a soft reset followed by cycling the power on/off one or more times. Sometimes that puts things right for a full day or more, but sometimes (like just now), I get back into the bad state after a short time of having LTE. Might be tied to making a phone call.
This screams software issue to me, and my gut feeling is that it's Verizon-specific software that's likely to blame. I've so far seen and ignored updates for Verizon's backup assistant, and one other that's simply "name not available". Is there a known way to uninstall the Verizon apps like backup assistant? I haven't been able to find one with my searches. Happy to muck around in the registry, etc. as needed.
Wow, you know my pain. I recently (2 days ago) jumped from Verizon to T-Mobile (job related) and have the exact same problem. Go figure... Anyway, hoping someone may have had some luck looking into this, but I am guessing not. fingers crossed. I also have the Alcatel Idol 4S Windows 10 shipping, but hoped I could keep this one kicking.
Thanks for any help.
