[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 IMEI number lost while flashing a ROM - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I flashed a ROM yesterday (Cyanogen Mod 10) and I lost my IMEI number and cannot connect to the mobile networks. How can I retrieve the number and connect back again to the mobile networks?

You need to get back to stock rom before you try this.

If that's the peoplearmy thread you might be able to find it on another website.

solved this issue by flashing the stock odin files then re rooted back off and going again..
Dont know a bunch about it, but it was really hard to find a good solution to the issue, So i dug around looking and trying everything that was findable with no luck, until just flashed stock everything through ODIN and the lost IMEI was back in the phone. From what i understand there is a recovery partition of some sorts hidden and locked that stores all the phone identity info. I noticed that the bluetooth and wifi mac were also listed unknown along with the IMEI.
hope this helps and this is my first post ever to xda and i use this forum alot for just about any device issues i come across

After two days of working this issue I was able to repair my IMEI, however, I'm not stuck on 2g or "E" for AT&T.
I was able to use Model T989 to make the change as listed below. Please advise how to add 3g or 4g. Edge is extremely slow Thanks:
Selected model: T989
Selected port: COM10 USB Serial Port
Selected port speed: 115200
Searching ADB device... OK
Reading phone info...
Model: SGH-T999
Android version: 4.1.1
Product code: Not Active
Phone version: T999UVDLJA
PDA version: T999UVDLJA
CSC version: T999TMBDLJA
IMEI: Unknown
Checking Super user right... true
Writing data to phone... OK
Rebooting phone... OK
Now connect phone to UART cable
Checking phone at COM10 OK
Reading phone info...
Model: SGH-T999
Country code: TMB
Cal date: -
Factory SW: T999UVDLJA
Unique number: CMAF7B91BEA938F
Memory phone: -
Bypass MSL... OK
Repairing IMEI... OK
Repair done
Rebooting... OK
Done with Samsung Tool v.14.5
Please advise how to add 3g or 4g. Edge is extremely slow Thanks.
Days Later:
Problem resolved. You need QPST v2.7.378 and SGS3 QCN Generator (Peoplearmy). Although both I believe was created for the I535 (Verizon) it resolved my problem in which I'm able to get 3g/4g on my phone (T999) using the AT&T network after I repaired the IMEI.

Can you still see this thread? It says invalid thread specified for me.
I've been looking for this problem for almost a month and almost every xda thread link people post is dead.
Been stuck on Edge for almost a month, so finding these links that supposedly solve everything and then seeing they are not accesible to me is very frustrating. :/
Thanks in advance.

IMEI 0/00

Trying to get a T-Mobile Note II to connect to the network so I flashed to a custom ROM to see what that would do and that screwed up the IMEI to 0/00. Flashed back to a kinda-stock ROM but that didn't help.
Where can I get a 100% stock ROM that is untouched?
I have the IMEI on the box if theirs another way to fix it, but I'm not buying or making some crazy Ethernet/MicroUSB cable I'd just e-bay it before that.
Im confused if it was a tmobile phone why would ypu flash a rom to make it connect, was it not connecting stock? What rom did you flash are you sure its for right phone, how bout a Lil info

I know the number is clean because I checked with T-Mobile myself.

Problem with modem/not registered in network

Hey guys!
The idea is that ,by mistake i flashed a s4 modem on my note2 (my wifi was not working and i thought the problem is the modem and i found another modem but i didn't pay attention to the title).
Now my note 2 says that it isn't registered in network
I tried flashing a modem but no succes. Wifi is now working( i installed another rom -allianceRom) and i tried to go to settings-mobile data-network operator(last option .don't know how to translate) and register manually in a network but that was unsuccesful again...
I mention that my phone is from Romania and the network was COSMOTE
I don't have any efs backup as well..don't know where are them. I remember i saw 3 of them in a folder when surfing trough storage but i can't find them now...
What can i do ? I need my phone

[Q] Lost EFS data Need Galaxy Note II from shoppingsquare.com.au Owner

Hello Friends,
I am in big problem at the moment. I flashed new roms (geek will know it)couple of times. But since last week my phone does not recognise my sim card or get any network and its IMEI also got currupted and I don't have backup of my EFS folder. I found out that the it may restore it to normal by installing factory stock rom. But for that I need somebody who have got Samsung Galaxy Note II from shoppingsquare.com.au in last October to March. So that i can download appropriate country's stock rom as it is grey import phone.
I need below firmware info, which you can get in Settings and About device

[Q] Samsung Note 2 emergency calls only - please help

Okay guys, youre my last hope, its now 8am and ive been at ths since 6pm yesterday evening and im on the verge of tears!
Got a preowned Galaxy Note 2 yesterday afternoon, the owner showed me it working on a 3 sim so I know its working and I know the IMEI isnt blacklisted.
Got it home, put my 3 sim in, all working fine. Then I realised it was running a slightly older version of android than my old phone. Couldnt update over wifi, kies wouldnt let me update, checked the phone status and it said 'modified'.
So me being me, impatient and all that, I used Odin to update it to androinf 4.1.2. Ever since then, its been showing emergency calls only.
Here's a quick rundown of what I've tried;
- rooting the phone
- put 4 different roms on it
- put the stock firmware on
- put a rom on for the modem (which had switced to an invalid IMEI number somewhere along the line but is now fixed)
- factory reset
- toggle plane mode
- sim in, sim out, sim in, sim out...
- checked my sim in my old phone - working perfectly
I cant think of whay else ive done. Ive been at this for 14 hours straight now.
Basicslly, I know the phone was fine when I got it. Ive done something to it, and I cant for the life of me figure out what ive done.
The only thing I can think is its the files ive read so much about, EFS files or something like that... I didnt take a back up of them before my impatient attempt at upgrading to android 4.1.2...
Can someone please help me? I think ive read every post on this site about this issue and nothing mentioned seems to work for me! Im literally on the brink of tears cuz I just want to play with my gorgeous Note 2!
Thank you so much in advance for any help, hints, tips or advice.
Thank you.
