I'm just wondering if anyone uses this app. I got to dim the display lower than stock at night time in an attempt to help conserve battery. I'm just wondering if it is better to use the stock auto brightness or lux with battery life being the top priority

i never noticed battery drain with lux

If anything you should see a battery increase with the screen using less power. I use to use RootDim, but the "dim" setting on CM works well enough for me.
Yea I had cm on my x2. Played with their brightness settings and numbers. Was very happy with cm controls

When my gets to about 5% battery the sceen brightness goes all the way up and the option to adjust it becomes unusable. When i try to adjust it in power saving mode it has no effect. Anyone else having this issue? Im running jugs 5.0

Bump
Happens to me on Darkside, figured it is a samsung bug...
Solution is to not let it drain that low. It's bad for the battery anyways.
Yeah I thought it was just me, but this has happened on two different phones and a few different roms, including stock.

What is your experience, auto-brightness or not for battery life?

don't use auto-b because use sensors and sure battery. my opinion and my setting are 20/25% of brightness manually set

+1 except 4½+ screen time. Any ROM, I always use trinity kernel. I'm currently at 30% battery with 3½ hours display 23 hours on battery. If I leave data/auto sync on the whole time I get a little more than 4½ total, I think I might hit 5 hours this time since I've been turning data off when not in use.

I'm running Jellybro by fitsnugly using the stock kernel. No special settings.

I like to keep my screen rather bright - around 50% The only time I switch to auto is if I am outside. With Trinity Kernel I am getting +/- 3 hours of screen on time with data on all the time and Wifi on about 75% of the day.
Is this normal? This is this is using flipboard and reading in xda. Screen on full time automatic brightness, gps off, wifi off

Yep. Looks perfectly normal to me. It might help a little more seeing exactly how much screen on time you have but this doesn't seem to be too over the top especially sense it is a touchwiz based ROM. Could you give me more information on whether you are overclocked, screen on time, and what rom/kernel your using? BTW I have been experiencing excellent battery life out of cm10 and aokp jb. Some features don't work but is a non issue to me and know they will be resolved in the future

Deep battery forces your phone into deep sleep mode. In the free version there are different modes based on how often you want it to turn on data for a 1 minute period. I've only used it for a couple of days and results seem very good thus far. I am on Franco R15 and Dec 17 build of aokp roman

I downloaded this app at night. So the first part of the graph is daily use and the second part of the graph is night time. So far it seems to be working very well I am on the balanced profile of the application. Which is set to leave deep sleep every hour for one minute

So... Juice Defender

I'm using juice defender.. It does so much more than deep sleep if it is set up right.

at least from my testing, DSB gave me worse battery than just stock... But, that may just be based on how i use my phone (I turn the screen on for ~10s at a time multiple times throughout the day for texts etc) Seemed to have more partial wakelocks than normal. I do suspect it has something to do with the wakelock issue the nexus has with the wireless radio
What are some battery saving tips you guys can give ?

Turn off auto brightness and leave it at like 50%
Turn of vibration for keyboard and touches
Underclock the CPU
Turning of sync and hibernating apps you dont use with greenify
I have fantastic battery life from my phone. I have tasker set up so that autosync only activates when the phone is charging. I also used Titanium Backup to freeze or remove apps I don't use. I even looked at the Running Apps part to further improve the things I could freeze. I routinely get 24 hours out of my One.
Speaking of battery saving, what is the best kit Kat ROM for battery life?
