Deep battery forces your phone into deep sleep mode. In the free version there are different modes based on how often you want it to turn on data for a 1 minute period. I've only used it for a couple of days and results seem very good thus far. I am on Franco R15 and Dec 17 build of aokp roman

I downloaded this app at night. So the first part of the graph is daily use and the second part of the graph is night time. So far it seems to be working very well I am on the balanced profile of the application. Which is set to leave deep sleep every hour for one minute

I'm using juice defender.. It does so much more than deep sleep if it is set up right.

at least from my testing, DSB gave me worse battery than just stock... But, that may just be based on how i use my phone (I turn the screen on for ~10s at a time multiple times throughout the day for texts etc) Seemed to have more partial wakelocks than normal. I do suspect it has something to do with the wakelock issue the nexus has with the wireless radio

From my experience the phone lasts about 3-4 hours screen on time

Wow..u must have been using it non-stop. Yes, from my experience, the total screen up-time is around 3.5 hours.
Here is my overnight battery drain test. My phone was idle the whole time. Only on 2G mode and no wifi, no gps and no bluetooth.
Try uninstalling Facebook for Android app and also Sign into Latitude, select Do Not Report My Location, and then sign out of Latitude.
I know this has probably been answered somewhere before but I couldn't find a good answer. I have lost 10% battery in an hour and a half with no use other than stand by. Any tweaks within the Cyanogen settings I can make to help at all?

Did you add any kind of task killer on your phone to prevent things from running in the background all the time?
I have advanced task killer but its just an app. Its not running all the time.

And I let my battery drain all the way to 0 and charged fully from scratch with it off. It lost about 20 in an hour add opposed to 10 today.

You can set it to auto-kill. I'm actually kinda surprised you're having a lot of battery problems with RC3 though, you may just need to wait a few days for everything to stable out. When we get new ROMs we like to play with them a lot and drain the battery! I would also suggest using auto-brightness to prevent excessive screen power usage.

That's not normal for idle at all. Is the battery old and just wearing out? if it's fairly fresh (< 1 year) then it should be fine. Try betterbattery stats to see if the phone is keeping wakelocks and also CPU spy will let you know if your phone is reaching the deep sleep state.
I have the brightness not on auto because it was picking up the light right, but it's turned down pretty low. I'm about to post the results of the battery info, and those 2 apps... They're in the below zip folder...
I unplugged my phone about a half hour ago and have been using it a decent amount. Went from 100 to 80 in that time.

the first ~10-20% is not always that accurate.
I don't know that drain just kills me lol.

Today was 11 % in 5 minutes. This I'd crazy.

Usually I burn thru my battery in about 12-14 hours. I happened to find this app yesterday called ds battery saver. Well in 12 hours I have 40% left.
It turns off wifi and data and deep sleeps when the screen is off. Every half hour or hour (however you set it) it will wake up to sync data. I can get phone calls and texts the entire time.
I grabbed the pro version for more options. If you're rooted it will even shut down all cores but one. Nothing I have tried has improved battery life this well so I figured I'd share.

2x battery is the same way just instead of setting a timer you can set it to screen lock and if your like me and listen to blue tooth Pandora in your car. You can add the app to the "wish list" so the app won't shut you down while your using it. Oh and that's the free version.
Or you can not have one and save more battery.

I've had battery issues ever since I bought my Note 2. I tried buying a new battery, custom ROM (ARHD 13.0), custom kernel (RedPill). I get a drain of 2% per hour in standby, and 17.2 percent (!) per hour in normal usage, not even heavy gaming. The screenshots are for continuous usage. I got rid of wakelocks, the AudioOut2 one by Viber, the NetworkStatusMonitor through maps. (these were 80% of all partial wakelocks)
I usually have sync enabled, 4 email accounts for once in four hours, and Facebook, and Samsung backup. That's it. I'm on an EDGE network, with network set to GSM only, WiFi only on when required.
I have ~83% Deep Sleep when I don't touch the phone overnight.
All motions/smart *s are disabled.
I don't know what else to do. My wakelocks show completely normal values. (I'll upload some when I get to unused time)

Almost 90% sleep. But still draining 10% in 10 hours of no use.
Could someone help me debug this drain?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
If you are complaining about 10% drain over 10 hours (1% drain an hour) then you are very mistaken about how a mobile phone works.
There's nothing wrong here I can see.
I've seen people report less than 3% drain overnight. And 2-3% per hour of use. 17% an hour? Too much.
Edit: I know cell phones consume battery because they're wirelessly connected to and monitoring networks and that they need battery to receive and process packets of data and other stuff while not being used, if that's what you mean.

Is your wifi power save mode on or off?
!!
I have the same excact problem. Just bought it and the battery drains so faaaaaaaaast !!!...
The screenshots in my first and second posts are with WiFi on, connected but never searching. In the third post, WiFi was off the whole time.
Edit: Power saving was off both times. There's a noticeable FPS drop with power saving that I hate.

Please get Better Battery Stats, and post your screenshots over at least an hour of no use, and 30 minutes of use. I might be able to help. (I'll try, anyway).

Are you on an AOSP/AOKP/CM based ROM? I understand that battery will be significantly better on those than a Sammy based ROM because of Sammy bloatware, but I'm unwilling to lose all the perks. Although the figures I said people have are all for people on either stock with custom kernel, ARHD, or ARHD with a custom kernel.
Edit: I also took care to take these figures from this forum from people who had a few syncs/online services enabled.

Install perseis kernel...dont try to install cheap apps or games from playstore...beacause they run even after closing it in the background...try to deactivate your 3g network and wlan ...btw.. try tge app 3g manager...it deactivates your 3g mobile network when you lock the phone.. and reactivate it when you unlock the phone..it might help you.

Not anymore. Perseus kernel with Greenifier = 0.3% drain an hour, and 5% per hour of use.

Hey guys, I've been using my nexus 7 and one thing I noticed is that my standby for the tablet is bad like I would leave it on my table for an hour and it drains about 5 percent. I have a droid DNA and with that I usually lose ,maybe 1-2% an hour on standby while connected to WiFi. Any ideas? Also I'm using clean ROM 1.7 and elemental kernal 1.4

The usual reponse....
install one of the available Battery apps which track wake locks etc and then optimize your settings or switch to another Kernel/ROM
Which app do you recommend?

I am in utter AWE about the idle drain. It's almost non-existent. Carbon Rom, default kernel, with Greenify and AutoStarts, the usual tweaks. Result:
Two percent a day is "doable"
