[Q] Won't boot :( - HTC One V

I've looked through the htc one v forums and found similar problems, but not mine.
& I'm on Virgin Mobile USA. Got this phone on Black Friday. Didn't use until December.
My phone refuses to boot. I was having trouble with 'no service', so I figured it would be easy enough to just restart my phone, give it the old off-on and it should be fine.
However, it would show the htc screen for six seconds, then black six seconds. Over and over and over.
So, I hit the down volume and power to bring up the boot screen.
I've tried powering down and even attempted factory reset.
It kept doing the six seconds between screens.
I haven't tried rooting it, changing the rom, bootloading it, or any of that other stuff.
I just tried to restart it.
Now, it will not work.
:crying::crying:
Please help me.
Thank you.

Yuuckkk. I really don't want to have to do that.
I'm not even sure what to do with sending it to HTC.
This is my first HTC & I've never had problems like this.:crying:

Power down...fully charge it. Remove your SD card...I know...go to boot loader, factory reset. If no boot throw in trash...good luck I'm out of ideas man

Throw in the trash? No.
I'll figure something out.
I haven't even been using it a full two months.
I'm very unhappy.

If the phone is still full stock, not rooted, never unlocked bootloader, then call Virgin Mobile and get a replacement. You have a full one year warranty. Just tell them the phone won't even boot and they will send you a replacement with a prepaid return envelope to send the broken one back to them.

Call Virgin Mobile, not HTC?
It's all still stock. I've never rooted or unlocked anything.

Send it to HTC,they gave you a phone having defects. They must see into this.

If he is with Virgin, he will get the replacement faster than waiting waiting on HTC to repair it and send it back. When my old Optimus V broke, I had my replacement in my hands in three days. He has a one year warranty, Virgin will replace the phone.

[Q] HTC Desire Hangs on Boot. Cannot Boot Up Android.

Hey Guys,
As of this morning my HTC Desire has been unable to load up to the SIM Pin screen. It is stuck on the "Telstra Next G" Logo Screen (Australian Phone Provider).
It has been playing up with over heating in the past 3 months although this morning after retrieving it from under my pillow it was extremely hot with the Logo Screen Hanging.
I rooted the HTC Desire with Unrevoked. I don't know anything about un-rooting and have searched for this similar problem with no solutions.
I CAN access the HBOOT screen. Details below:

When I try to go into the recovery option on the screen it just starts up my phone as it normally would, giving me the Logo Screen Hang once again.
Have I bricked my phone? Is this hardware related as the CPU has/continues to overheat?
Main question is, can I fix it if none of the above are applicable.
Help is greatly appreciated as this will save me a lot of money in the long run.
Have a great week,

same problem, and..
I had the same problem yesterday, and now I can't even switch it on, it doesn't charge either..
I've also rooted my phone, if I go to the customer service there is any chance they can find out that I rooted my phone?

if u have an official carrier rom you should be good. but if you have a hacked rom they will notice.d if u have a stock rom thats unbranded they will know. basically every rom except the rom that came with your phone you will get cought. if you can get into hboot, you can goto fastboot and use your proviers ruu to flash yopur stopck rom then send it in for repair and you should be good. to use the ruu, download it from shippedroms then turn your phone on by [power+back button] it will load into fastboot then start up the ruu on your pc. it should load your basic no root phone back to its original state. then send it in

HTC Desire HD Problem

Hello, I'm sorry but I am a noobie in dev stuffs for mobile OS.
So, I'll just seek some assistance before I do something terrible to my phone.
Problem:
My phone gets stuck in the HTC logo white screen, tho I do manage to get pass that by holding the power button again.
The files in my phone which I delete gets restored if the mobile is restarted. (similar on how Deep Freeze works on PCs)
Factory reset doesn't work. (Have no tried doing it while connected in a PC)
Lots of errors in my applications.
Note, this phone was just passed to me by my aunt since she no longer use it.
I wanted to fix them.
I'm willing to learn methods to be able to fix it, I just want some assistance on where to start with troubleshooting this phone.
Thank you for your time. (can provide more info if asked)

I really do not know how this stuff works, so I wont know which ones would match my phone.
Or if there is somewhere/something to know how to find the one that matches mine, I am fine with reading and learning.
Thank you either way for the help.

Hello, sorry for the late reply.
I tried installing the one provided by nikolas60 a few moments ago. (I used that one since it's the same version with the one provided by humzaahmed155 but in zip form)
I installed it using the bootloader method, put it in the sd card root and renaming it PD98IMG.
Bootloader managed to detect it but after a few minutes, it just said wrong CID, or something, then press power to restart.
So I just restarted it and nothing happened.
Did I do something wrong? Should I try the .exe one?
bumping for answers or advices. thank you.
You will need to make a gold card if you have wrong cid.

[Q] Last hope for an HTC one x rooting noob :)

Hello everyone,
I have used you guys in the past for other devices but never needed serious help, so here I am stuck in a looping hell
I have an HTC One X that I am trying to root and install the TWRP (I want to have an android that is factory set without the carrier info and bloatware ect)
The utility I am using is the HTC One X (Tegra 3/International) AIO Kit By Hasoon2000 v2.5. Here is my main issue:
I have successfully navigated all the steps to root the phone (Steps 1-5) and now when I boot into the bootloader I see the following,
***TAMPERED***
*** UNLOCKED ***
evita pvt ship s-on rl
hboot-2.14.0000
radio-0.23a.32.09.29
opendsp-v31.1.0.45.0815
emmc-boot
nov 26 2012,18:37:14:-1
Now from here it was my understanding that under "next, flash a recovery" I would simply pick "TWRP" and then click "flash recovery". This seems to work as the green bar in the top right loads briefly. After that I am at a loss. If I go to "bootloader" then go to "recovery" like the instructions say the phone just restarts and I see the Rogers splash screen again...
If it helps, when I try to flash the recovery using the "clockwordmod" it gives me an error "cannot load recoveries/cwm.img"
So to make this easier all I want is my phone to have nothing to do with the carrier on it, all traces of that wiped off at the single file level if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have been at this for almost 6 hours straight
Your phone is not HTC One X International (endeavoru). DON'T flash anything from here or you will brick your phone. You have One X "evita". There is a specific forum at xda for your phone.

[Q] Relocked now stuck

I was unlocked and s-off from rumrunner. I was on CM11 and flashed the AOSP elite lunar kernel which put me in a bootloop I don't know why. It seemed to work great for everyone else. I reflashed CM11 from TWRP and when it booted up there was some nonsense about SIM card not recognized or something. I put the SIM in my old Razr HD and it worked just fine and other SIM cards didn't work in the One. I followed the return to stock thread and it recognized my SIM no problem. I re unlocked and s-off again and back on CM11. I figured I'm pretty stupid, so lets try that kernel again. No one else seems to be having trouble with it. For whatever reason same problem. I go return to stock again, flashed stock re-locked s-on just like before. When I start the phone it gets stuck on the setup wizard phone activation screen. I even let it sit on that screen overnight. nothing. I can flash the signed RUUs and the 2.10.605.1 is the one that sticks on the setup wizard. I saw somewhere to bypass the setup by hitting home but that didn't work. Try a different RUU? Decrypted say some signature failed.
tldr; relocked, s-on, 2.10.605.1 sticks at Setup wizard phone activation
fastboot shows

Dont know if it still works on newer android or not, but you use to be able to tap the 4 corners of the setup screen clockwise. Just keep tapping the corners one at a time clockwise. Go around several times.
Also have you tried doing a factory reset since flashing the ruu?

Still bricked. I have since moved on to Moto X then m8. Guess I have noons to blame but myself. Relocked and flashed newest firmware but the 2.10 ruu doesn't fix the problem. Looks like this stays in drawer u til 3.10 ruu. Maybe sell it on eBay bricked. I'm sure someone can fix it.

You say it's bricked because cm11 doesn't load on it?
Just trying to understand how this is a brick...
Did you flash cm11 for the Verizon m7 or just m7?
Did you flash Gapps?

No I say its bricked because I returned to stock and it does not get past the phone activation step of the setup wizard. I am stock, relocked , and s-on (because I'm stupid). I can't downgrade (right) so the only thing I can flash is the 2.10 signed ruu (right?) Factory reset from stock recovery, flashed the ruu a couple times nothing else I can think of. I can't bypass the setup wizard (tried four corners) so I can turn on USB debugging or disable the fast bootup.
I was on some aosp ROM and flashed a kernel. When I booted up it had a SIM error. Returning to stock had worked once before so I tried it again but went all the way this time and relocked and s-on for whatever reason. Tried redownloading the zip flashing it still the same. Tried different SIMs even a new one from VZW. Sits on that contacting Verizon screen, even left it overnight. No dice.

Adb/fastboot are programs used for interacting with android devices for development by unlocking the bootloader you have these items.
Judging by what you have said you are stuck in a bootloop. I suggest flashing a custom recovery for the 2012 wildfire s and then flashing a custom rom. The ruu may not have worked for a few reasons but mainly because your bootloader is unlocked.

Hello,
thanks for the link (so that we talked about the same procedure). I have followed the steps and installed CWM.
But basically the original problem persists. After starting the phone after selecting the start and Recovery, CWM menu displayed only for a few seconds and the phone will reset again.
I also noticed unusual features:
After connecting the phone USB cable to power supply (charger or PC), the phone automatically turns on.
Again thanks in advance for further advice
