Epic Games - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

So, Epic Games just released their popular "Epic Citadel" app for Android. The graphics look very good, actually. And the benchmark proves that the GNex can still hold its own when running graphics intensive games. I'm very curious and anxious to see if Epic just ports what they have on iOS or actually makes a new game for Android.
What do you guys think of this?

I could've sworn Epic Games made Infinity Blade. Or maybe I'm confused since they're using the Unreal Engine.

Infinity Blade will stay exclusive to iOS.

Well, you're actually kind of right on that one, Chair Entertainment is a subsidiary of Epic.
Didn't know that myself until 5 minutes ago
And boo about Infinity Blade staying exclusive to iOS... well, hopefully other devs will now use UE3 on Android more often.
Here's to hoping for the best

$16.00?? What a rip off. I would pay $5-6 but $16 is highway robbery.
No way am I paying $16 for it.
Emulate it. Just as good.
Edit: nevermind, some sort of 3d remake.

Till I saw the price.....Daylight robbery. I purchased it on the iPhone 4 for around £5 if I remember.
Agreed. While this is very awesome, the price is not.
How much?!?! Crazy price. Its an app ffs not a full retail game. Sort it out Square Enix!!

Wow this is awesome, but not for $15!
I agree with above. 13€ is too much expensive for a smartphone game. :/

To the OP ... I swear I could kiss you right now , no matter how fat you are Just Kidding! anywayz , prices is imba! -.-
Off-T : GO LUCAS ROSOL!!
I believe this is a port of an NDS (or other handheld) version? I bought just to support development on this platform, I'd really like to see some new, higher end RPG gaming on android. The iOS platform has a lot more development there, which is unfortunate for us.
I agree, the price is pretty egregious for the market... but I'd pay that price if I got 20-40 hours of gameplay out of it.
In response to emulation, I've already played/beat most SNES/PSX RPGs... so it's nice to have new options.
Thanks!! Didn't know this was available on Android ;-)

This is the DS 3D remake. It isn't just the classic rom from the NES. Seeing how the DS version is probably $20, it isn't bad. Great game though with plenty of hours to chew through. $9.99 would seem more appropriate though.

And this Final Fantasy 3 is way overpriced. I don't understand why developers do this. Making something so expensive just makes people download it for free instead of paying the developer.

Nice piece, although I would consider the Madfinger games in the list, specifically Dead Trigger. Aside from having outstanding graphics and being free, if you have an OTG adapter and plug in a PS3 gamepad, it feels like a transformed game.
In my opinion, this game is the closest to offering a console-style experience so far with a gamepad, as the controls are incredibly tight. Try it with a controller if you are able!

Madfinger game are awesome and will make my follow up. Here's why I didn't add dead trigger. It is fun but pretty mindless game play and we despise games leveraged by in app purchases. The game has no story and the games here I selected for overall depth not necessarily game play alone. I'll add it as a players choice though in my follow up and thanks very much for the feedback

James Holmes & Jared Loughner likely played games like that. Look where it got them and all of us.

The android market desperately needs an adventure / RPG genre. So I think he's right in that for market categories it'd fall under action.
I like glwg too although the latest update made it unplayable on the n7. I might try gbwg. For arcade, I do like spirit xhd.
Plus, in all honesty, I think there needs to be a rating system other than opinions.
Order and chaos, while a fun game, is very slow at the point I'm at and is a little choppy for 1.5ghz and 484 GPU on a 15+ Mbit connection.
It should probably be rated based on gameplay, replay ability, game performance / app design, graphics, etc.

Am I Right..? [Games]

Unfortunately, I'm a bit confused with the existing games for android..
We have HD Open World Games, like GTA 3 and Vice City,..
Good shooter, like Critical Strike, Gamelofts upcoming Blitz Brigade, Shadowgun, Modern Combat,..
Farmville stuff,.. Point & Click Games,.. HD Car Racing Games,..
HD (Console) Games like Dead Space,..
Hell, we even have Minecraft...
But, why are there no Old school Jump & Run games..?
Like Rayman (No Runner Games..) Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank..
I even haven't heard of any news that they're coming..
The point of this thread, is to collect (and discuss) information about developers that are working or planning to work on J&R Games...
If there's a thread like this, please show me the way, since I haven't found a thread, especially for a good gaming device like the Nexus 7..
We have like everything that is possible, even HE Open World games so I'm wondering what's up with some nice Jump & Run games..

Sonic 4? There is even a THD version.
+ Cordy and Killer Bean Unleashed just popped into my mind. Personally I don't like any of them too much, without controller it's just annoying for me to fail because of the touch controls.
AW: Am I Right..? [Games]
I know these games, and some of them are quite good, but they're side scrolled games.. I thought more of J&R games with an 3D environment.. I feel like no one is interested in these kind of games ^^'

I think more than Jak & Daxter for the ps2, or Ratchet and Clank, an "open world" game, which is based on jump & run, I can't give another example since there's nothing for android :/
Just imagine GTA, with cartoony graphics and more jumping and climbing than shooting

I'm not sure how well it would go down linking to download sites as I'm not entirely sure if it would count as piracy (against xda rules). This is a good place to talk about our favourite games and recommend them to each other.
Favourite games for me, paradroid 90, hunter, hero's quest, the settlers.
Did anyone try dune or dune 2 on n7? I'm curious to see how well it would work without a mouse for multi selection of units

You're quite right. Lemmings was developed by DMA Design, the same people that did the GTA series.
My favorites (among quite a few others) were Hunter, Ivan Reitman's Super Off-Road, Flight of the Amazon Queen, Speedball I & II, Stunt Car Racer, Another World, Super Cars II, Pinball Dreams, Slam Tilt, Cannon Fodder, Kick Off II and of course... Sensible World of Soccer (SWOS).

So, after playing the game for a couple days I have to admit I'm not as impressed as I thought I'd be. It's allot like the first one. Same basic two or three missions collect, defend, attack. The graphics are better but it's the same basic premise. Similar guns, similar enemies with a couple variations. The overall game play is still much the same, very boxy, very enclosed. Nothing open world like Left For Dead. I like some of the options but when it comes to all the weapon making and upgrading it just kinda complicates things to get to the same end result from the first game. I dunno. The verdict is still out. :screwy:
