I accidentally used the Note charger to charge my bluetooth headset and looks like it worked.
Can I also used headset charger to charge the Note. It says 5v 0.7a output on the headset charger as opposed to the 5v 1.0a on the Note charger.
The headset sucks (1100 model) but if I can use the charger, then I don't have to carry the hideous Note charger with the US adapter. Thoughts?

i have lg pro 2 charger and it charge my tab s faster than the samsung charger
why is that?
check the V. My Note 2 charger charges slower because its 5.0 V, but the tab S is 5.3 V. Lg charger might be more.

yea you are wright so is it bad to use the lg charger?
lg v is 5 only can this damage the battary?
What you really need to compare is the current output (Amperage) output of the two. 5V or 5.3 will surely be OK. I think the Samsung wall wart is 2.1A your LG wall wart is most likely higher than that and this is really why it charges faster. It might not be good for the battery if it's too high. I don't know what the limit would be....

no not broke i tried 2 samsung charger and the same
lg charger was charging the lg pro 2 from 5% to 100% in one hour maximum

How long take you charge from 0 to 100%?
Voltage is not responsible for charging time, but current. Samsung genuine charger has 2.1A current, but galaxy tab S gets only about 1770 mA (1,77A) maximum current (I measure this using voltage/current multimeter).
I have many chargers, and any of them (despite some of them have over 2A current) gets maximum current to galaxy tab S about 1.77A.
I also have I9300, and custom kernel (Boeffla, you can select own charging current from 0 to 1600mA), but i9300 takes maximum 920 mA (I don't know why they develop thi function to set current over 0.9A). Setting current over 920mA nothing changes.
I have to add, that very important is USB cable. Device can test the maximum current of charger, and when cable is not ok (for example cable is very thick) device can use a smaller than charger maximum current. You have to notice, that cable can works OK (transfer and/or charging) but can charge smaller than maximum current. Unfortunately on non-rooted devices you cannot see charging current (on device, of course you can use external multimeter)
I have many USB cables, and some of them on original samsung charger uses about 0.5A what is about 3x smaller current.
I modded a wireless charging module onto my note 2 but it only charges @ a slow 460mAh with my huge battery (9Ah) this is a pain and useless to me. The module is rated for 1A (5.13v open) and read I need to get a different kernel to speed up the charging. If it wasn't for my moto 360, I'd just go back to 4.3 or 4.4 but the watch works horribly with those versions of Android.
Have there been any kernel mods released for CM 12.1 for the t0lte variant?
Can someone explain how the phone determines what speed it charges at based on the USB cable? I have a dual port AC adapter and my Note 2 stock USB cable charges at 900mAh while the stock S4 USB cable charges at 1,200 mAh. Why is this???
A quick look on GSM Arena shows the HTC 10 has v3.1, and the LG Nexus 5X has v2.0 (http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7884&idPhone2=7556). I'm under the impression that the underlying technology is compatible, just that the v2.0 charger will charge the HTC 10 slower than the v3.1 charger does, and the v3.1 charger won't charge the Nexus 5X as fast as it charges the HTC 10. Is this correct? I'd like to know before I try a potentially Note-7-esque experiment. Thanks.

Both should be interchangable, but a v2.0 USB-C charger on a v3.1 USB-C device will probably charge slower than with a v3.1 USB-C charger.
But regardless, whats more important is how much amps/volts the charger outputs. If its higher than what the device is designed for its going to damage the device, or at best damage the battery.
Nexus 5X = DC 5V @ max 3A
HTC 10 = DC 5V @ max 2.5A, or DC 9V @ max 1.7A
Its mainly the amperage that will cause damage. If it were me, even at 0.5A difference, i wouldn't use it
So I have a 2017 Samsung Galaxy A5 wall charger (with disconnectable USB cable) on which it says "Output: 9.0 V - 1.67 A or 5.0 V - 2.0 A". I imagine it is due to the adaptive charging. On my JBL Flip 4 portable bluetooth speaker it says "Input: 5.0 V - 2.0 A". Now, I know nothing about electricity so I have a trivial question. Can I use this charger to charge my speaker without damaging its battery? Thank you.
