I would recommend Faux kernel along with the app Gaming Boost. For the rom you can go with ARHD.

[Q] wich rom + kernel?

hi guys ive been trying a lot of ROMs and i wanted to ask wich rom + kernel will bring me best battery life out there ?
Android Revolution HD with stock or faux123 kernel = best battery life available
big thanks but wich faux 10m 105b ?
10b5 became 10u. Use 10m, mainline. 10u is more aggressive

Just press the "Thanks" button , it's better than just saying .
See this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31689937 for battery life as well. It all depends on your usage.

[Q] Which boot.img for AOKP on a GSM One V?

Just trying to flash AOKP on my GSM One V, as per this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882990
But the "Latest boot.img" link takes me to a download page with 5 files:
boot-TK-USB-CM10-201210112240.img
boot-TK-USB-CM10-OC-VDD-201210112240.img
boot-TK-USB-CM9-201210112240.img
boot-TK-USB-CM9-OC-VDD-201210112240.img
boot-TK-USB-CM9-OC-VDD-201210112240.img
I'm assuming I want to go for CM10, but want to be damn sure I flash the right one- if anyone can advise, it'd be much appreciated!
Does OC refer to an overclockable kernel?
Cheers!
Yea go for the cm10 as aokp is build on its base
Go for the second one if u want a over clocking option
Other wise go for the first one
And I would really recommend the hell boy kernel
Cheers

htc One X CM10 Kernel

what kernel is everyone else using with the one x cm10 nightlies. the stock kernel seems to drain the battery.
any comparisons and how important is the kernel?
This should've been posted on q&a section...

For me I have a very good battery life.
I am on hboot 1.31 and modded mdeejay boot.img, repacked using nibble with latest cm10 kernel.
I then went into performance to underclock the cpu freq to 1000mhz
(It reduced the device heat and more battery for me) it didn't hinder the performance at all. Still smooth.

At this moment the best is MagioRom v3.1 with alex kernel 2.6 PA2, this mix have a great battery and awesome stability and no one lag.
Then, i have to say that all of the roms for this devices are very similar, so you can flash the rom what you want. You can test 3 differents roms and take the best, maximus, magiorom, arhd, project, skydragon sd rom... They are all very similar.
In my opinion for me and at this moment magio is the best because it had been updated so days before!

yea magio 3.1 and alex-v 2.6 pa2 in this combination is the best...but i would say try them out and then look which is the best for you...with magiorom 3.1 and alex-v 2.6 pa2 kernel i can reach 6, if not even 7 hours onscreen time...with little to no gaming ...really great

yea but that's not sense 5 why an older rom when the newer are better? also the newest like magio and viper doesn't have really bugs/issues...
