Problem with rooting (Stuck on reboot loop) - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

I got my incredible 2 almost two years ago, and spent the whole time having it be rooted and messing with different roms completely carefree. I was supposed to get an upgrade soon, but sadly that didn't happen and won't for another few months. Any ways, I returned my phone to stock for the trade in. Since I am stuck with this phone for awhile longer, the default stock is driving me mad with the slow bloatware and etc, so time to root again.
I downgraded to 2.3.3,which was the easy part, and then used revolutionary. It said I was already s off, and asked if I wanted to install a recovery. I said yes. Upon reboot of my phone it turned itself off and rebooted. Again. And again. In an infinite loop. I went back into recovery and wiped cache and installed the su zip from my sd card, flashed another Rom. Nothing. Installing another Rom has it stuck on boot animation. I have to restore stock and start all over.
I'm confused on what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

No.
The instructions are in the radios sticky in the dev forum. Read up, backup, then go for it.

Flashing CM9 freezes mid install

So I have been trying to flash CM9 for the past couple of days, at first it worked just fine but I forgot google apps, so I went back to recovery and flashed gapps. After that it wouldn't leave the boot screen. I used odin to put a stock ICS rom on, then flashed clockwork and now every time I try to install cm9 It just stops on "installing." Did I miss something very simple and obvious or what?
How long are you letting it sit on "install"?
I've tried several time's usually only a few minutes, but at one point I left to the store and came back like an hour later and it was still on installing. Had to pull the battery every time, then I have to use odin because I can't get into recovery.

You need to follow the instructions to the letter .... and when you get it flashed if it don't boot go back into stock recovery and wipe data and it should boot

OK, I'm going through it again, but I did forget to mention one thing that might be important. After I odin CWM, my current rom does not boot though I can boot to cwm. Is that expected?

The directions say go back and flash cm7 are you trying to go from ics to cm9 ? If so your risking a brick be safe

Oh damn, there is a CM7? I can't find that one at all. Any help on that would be appreciated. However I did just get past the install so maybe it will work(hopefully without creating a brick).
EDIT: It booted seems to be working well. I would like a cm7 link if any one has it though, just in case

[Q]Need help with EVO rebooting

My daughter's EVO is constantly rebooting every 15-30 seconds. I can't get it to stay on long enough to run any RUU to get it back to stock to bring into Sprint. Any suggestions?
It reboots in bootloader too?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
Bootloader is ok, but I can't find an IMG to flash to get back to stock recovery and stock ROM, with s-on to go into a Sprint store...Google is sick of me today!
Only helpful things I can find are the RUUs which need me to get booted and stay up and running...

If your rooted,go to recovery and wipe cache and delvik, then go to advanced and fix permissions,if that doesnt help, wipe everything, but sd card and start over, this can probably be fixed without returning it.If your having problems with getting to recovery, then go through the bootloader, the old way, power off the phone then power on holding the volume rocker in the down position.
Just get latest ota from the rom page rename to ph36img.zip and put on root of sd card and let it install. That will put it back to stock. Will still be s off but sprint doesn't usually check bootloader for security status in my experiences especially since it's a hardware issue

Its not ph36img.zip,its PC36IMG.zip.
It will stay on in recovery, I wiped everything, fixed permissions, and did a factory reset, but after booting, it won't even stay on long enough for boot animation to finish...It's acting like a hardware problem, but I think not since it's staying up in recovery...

Constant reboot at lockscreen

Today following the tutorials on the forum, I downgraded (tried to use .98 downgrade tool but had to mix in tacroot method), then S-Offed & rooted and installd clockwork recovery mod (revolutionary and superuser tool). All of these methods are one followed on the tutorial threads in the forum here.
Anyways, the phone will boot up and make it to the lockscreen and then will just decide to reboot. It will keep doing this over and over again. The only way to stop it is to boot into recovery and do a factory reset, then it will start completely and let me do things. However, upon rebooting again (like after activating) it just keeps doing the same thing, it keeps restarting over and over again. I don't understand why this is happening, I've done factory reset and cleared cache but it still does it.
I also noticed originally this was happening after downgrading (but before s-off and root and all that, I had to factory reset so I could continue the process.
I've searched around but haven't really seen anything about this. It keeps restarting though, not sure what to do. Thanks.
Install an aosp rom, sense has bootloops on new firmware, people have said that nitsuj's UKB doesn't have that problem though.

I also had this problem after down grading, but after flashing a different radio (.0312) the boot loops went away.
Sent from my ADR6350 using Tapatalk 2
Today it actually finally stopped, or at least seemed too but then I just flashed CM9 and it works fine. I figured flashing a rom might work. Thanks guys.
Yes, the boot loops occur on sense roms...

So you're saying bootloops on sense roms are fixed by flashing .0312 radio?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
Yes, it fixed my boot loops. What is everyone's radio version right after doing tacoroot downgrade? Mine was .0622

The radio version after downgrade would be the radio packaged with the 4.xx RUU.
It seems like flashing the 605.05 packaged radio is the key to solving the bootloops...

[Q] I tried to install a rom, stuck on boot animation, bootloader crashes

I decided to install Cyanogen Mod on my Nexus. I already rooted it and downloaded rom manager + titanium back-up. I watched a tutorial on how to download and install roms using rom manager and everything seemed to go as planned and Cyanogen 9 was installed. The phone automatically rebooted and the boot animation the Cyanogen started. But after a half hour I realized it was stuck. So I tried to go into recovery mode to restore my backup (of the stock) but when I went there, the phone automatically turn off. It's not when I click, it's just after a certain period. It even turned off while restoring. To make things worse, when I turn it on now, it's stuck on the Google logo with the unlocked slot at the bottom. I hope you guys can help me because I'm starting to freak out.
Addidional info:
Additional info
I did not delete evreything when I flashed
GSM version
rom was downloaded from rom manager
I backed up my stock rom
I did google but everything leads to bootloader which is broken
Yes I'm a noob

Where can I find this option and what does it do exactly? I have the Nexus Toolkit too, should I do anything there?
1.Don't panic
2. Try to go on bootloader then reset factory or fastboot then from pc flash recovery
3. Try to get back recovery then factory reset and flash backup

was it a nexus? maybe/probably not, but if it was, you should have used fastboot. it's officially supported by GOOGLE. if you want to flash a factory image, they tell you to use fastboot. why would we use anything else? a leak? that the community barely really knows anything about?
i'd rather use Heimdall!! (not sure i9250 is supported though.)

Lost Recovery During Flash

I have the TMO S3. I was attempting to flash the latest Deviant Xone rom when this happened.
Ok, here's my Monday dilemma.
I just deleted the old file, and downloaded a fresh one (this new version). I had also went into recovery and had did a wipe of system and rom. I had just cleared the cache twice, when the TWRP screen popped up. The phone then rebooted, and only gets to the "deviant" boot screen.
I have tried to boot back into recovery, but it just gets to the TWRP screen, then reboots back to system, but still only gets to the deviant boot screen. I have done numerous battery pulls trying to get into recovery, but I think that for some reason, the phone has deleted my recovery.
Where do I go from here?

It's in his signature like he said, and in the forum discussed a many times. It shouldn't have deleted your recovery either way, haven't seen much of that. This is a great detailed explanation, just use T-Mo firmware, odin packages are the same though. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722686

Yea, that's what I'm doing now. Just making sure I understand what I'm doing before I attempt to do it.
Ok, the first thing is when I connect to odin, the box that is supposed to be yellow is green. I still went ahead and did the procedure and it did say pass in the box. But the pc is not seeing the phone.
Also, when the phone rebooted, it rebooted to that Deviant boot screen still.

Vol up, power and home buttons. It does go to the recovery logo ( Teamwin ), but then reboots back to the deviant boot logo screen.

That was it. For some reason, my phone wasn't accepting TWRP, but CWR worked. It's flashing the older version of Deviant now. Big Thanks to you and the others for your help. I'm still puzzled though why it would just delete itself like that though.

Not sure, but until I know, I'll stick with CWR though I like TWRP much better. Even so, I installed my original TWRP through Goo, and not through odin. I didn't do that until about 3 weeks after I rooted.

In any case, thanks to you as well. I've already flashed the latest Deviant, and in the process of reinstalling the apps through TB. Now my next quest is to try to find a stable kernel. I'm hoping that yesterday was the result of a bad download, as I did download the rom during that slow time goo.im was having. It took almost 45 minutes. It may have gotten corrupted during that extended period.

You are talking in circles, it's impossible for ODIN to display "PASS" if the pc is not recognizing your phone . LOL

First, if you would have read the posts, the issue was resolved.
Next, also if you would have read, you would have saw that I said the box that was supposed to be yellow. The pass box is never yellow, but the smaller one under it when you first connect.
Now I don't mean to be rude or anything, but maybe you should learn to read before commenting. There are any number of adult educational programs.
