Constant reboot at lockscreen - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Today following the tutorials on the forum, I downgraded (tried to use .98 downgrade tool but had to mix in tacroot method), then S-Offed & rooted and installd clockwork recovery mod (revolutionary and superuser tool). All of these methods are one followed on the tutorial threads in the forum here.
Anyways, the phone will boot up and make it to the lockscreen and then will just decide to reboot. It will keep doing this over and over again. The only way to stop it is to boot into recovery and do a factory reset, then it will start completely and let me do things. However, upon rebooting again (like after activating) it just keeps doing the same thing, it keeps restarting over and over again. I don't understand why this is happening, I've done factory reset and cleared cache but it still does it.
I also noticed originally this was happening after downgrading (but before s-off and root and all that, I had to factory reset so I could continue the process.
I've searched around but haven't really seen anything about this. It keeps restarting though, not sure what to do. Thanks.

Install an aosp rom, sense has bootloops on new firmware, people have said that nitsuj's UKB doesn't have that problem though.

I also had this problem after down grading, but after flashing a different radio (.0312) the boot loops went away.

Today it actually finally stopped, or at least seemed too but then I just flashed CM9 and it works fine. I figured flashing a rom might work. Thanks guys.

Yes, the boot loops occur on sense roms...

So you're saying bootloops on sense roms are fixed by flashing .0312 radio?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5

Yes, it fixed my boot loops. What is everyone's radio version right after doing tacoroot downgrade? Mine was .0622

The radio version after downgrade would be the radio packaged with the 4.xx RUU.
It seems like flashing the 605.05 packaged radio is the key to solving the bootloops...

[Q]Need help with EVO rebooting

My daughter's EVO is constantly rebooting every 15-30 seconds. I can't get it to stay on long enough to run any RUU to get it back to stock to bring into Sprint. Any suggestions?
It reboots in bootloader too?

Bootloader is ok, but I can't find an IMG to flash to get back to stock recovery and stock ROM, with s-on to go into a Sprint store...Google is sick of me today!
Only helpful things I can find are the RUUs which need me to get booted and stay up and running...

If your rooted,go to recovery and wipe cache and delvik, then go to advanced and fix permissions,if that doesnt help, wipe everything, but sd card and start over, this can probably be fixed without returning it.If your having problems with getting to recovery, then go through the bootloader, the old way, power off the phone then power on holding the volume rocker in the down position.
Just get latest ota from the rom page rename to ph36img.zip and put on root of sd card and let it install. That will put it back to stock. Will still be s off but sprint doesn't usually check bootloader for security status in my experiences especially since it's a hardware issue

Its not ph36img.zip,its PC36IMG.zip.
It will stay on in recovery, I wiped everything, fixed permissions, and did a factory reset, but after booting, it won't even stay on long enough for boot animation to finish...It's acting like a hardware problem, but I think not since it's staying up in recovery...

Boot loop after revolutionary

Hey guys,
I just got a Incredible 2 and started the root/s-off process.
First I had to downgrade it to 2.3.3 and then ran revolutionary. All worked fine and I even installed the CWM.
The problem is that now it gets stuck on a pretty weird boot loop.
Every time I install a new ROM (stock or not) it boots and everything works fine. But as soon as I turn it off, it gets stuck on this infernal boot loop and the only way for it to stop is flashing a new ROM and doing it all over again.
Anyone has any clue what this could be?
Thanks
Ariel
Are you doing a full wipe? Do you have the latest radio? That is needed with the new firmware 6.xxx

Solved it...
I was doing a full wipe and I had the latest radio (1.09.01.0722). Aparently this was the problem.
I found an older radio (1.09.01.0322) and some guy saying that I needed it if I started having bootloops. And it works!
Thanks tho

Yeah, the naming is a little odd, I think it's supposed to be the month created then the year, but obviously .0622 and .0722 didn't follow that. .0312 is the latest (March 2012).
Dont use revolutionary
Try using another root method. Do it manually if you have too. I don't remember how i rooted my inc2 but it wasnt with revolutionary. Ive had it forever so the root methods may have changed. Just try a different method and see what happens.

Trouble installing Jelly Bean on the Gnex

So I've tried installing the JRO030 update on my Gnex twice now. Both times ended with it being stuck at the boot logo AFTER a complete shut down. I followed the instructions to a t. Is there anything else I could do to fix it? I'm no noob here, but I'm lost at this point.

What phone do you have? what kind of gnex
vzw. https://www.xda-developers.com/android/verizon-finally-rolls-out-jelly-bean-jro03o-to-galaxy-nexus/
op, get in recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash your rom.
if you can't, then try to get in bootloader/fastboot mode, and from there to recovery. doesnt work? reflash recovery.
still doesnt work? start fresh.
oh, wait a sec, you trying to OTA? what build are you currently on?

Give it time. The restart is taking longer with the JB boot loader on the GNex. Its verifying file systems. It may take several minutes, and then will boot into the OS with the X boot animation. Been discussed in several threads.

Have you tried doing a factory reset? Attempt a factory reset and if it gets stuck on the Google boot logo, your phone is missing its recovery image, so you will need to manually flash Jelly Bean with the factory images from Google. Were you able to install the 4.0.4 update when it first came out?
Verizon Galaxy Nexus.
I'm on imm76k.
I did not know it took so long. Can you give me a link to one of the threads?
I tried a factory reset.
Yes, I did. It updated just fine.
Thanks for all the help.

Thanks. The update came yesterday and I decided to try one more time and it worked, mostly because I was patient this time. Lol. Interesting that no one really knows what it does from that tread. Only theories so far.

Cant boot MIUI sense cdma version

Hi all
I don't post often but i just love to have the MIUI sense based rom posted on the development section (cdma).
I have done full wipe several times but when i try to boot the rom, it just takes me back to recovery.
I cane from cm 10 with the .320 radio.
Am I missing something?
I'd appreciate the help.

May be a bad download..i am also using .320 radio but easily booted.
How long did you give it? It took awhile for me and it rebooted one time before it finally did.
Made sure md5 match but no dice.
Let it boot like 5 times. It show the blinding htc boot screen, shuts off then reboots into recovery.

I have 320 radio an didn't have any trouble with the cdma version booting. I think I read somewhere about a older version not booting right on the GSM version.

You mean older version of the rom?
Wohoo now it boots up when I flash it with teamwin recovery. For some reason, 4ext didn't seem to flash it properly.

i came from the ukb 2 rom with no problems after doing the recommended wipes......
Maybe an ext format snafu?
Good to see it booted, but check ext formatting next time.
Hmmm not too quite familiar with this formatting stuff but i did format it ext4 which is the same thing that teamwin is doing.

Problem with rooting (Stuck on reboot loop)

I got my incredible 2 almost two years ago, and spent the whole time having it be rooted and messing with different roms completely carefree. I was supposed to get an upgrade soon, but sadly that didn't happen and won't for another few months. Any ways, I returned my phone to stock for the trade in. Since I am stuck with this phone for awhile longer, the default stock is driving me mad with the slow bloatware and etc, so time to root again.
I downgraded to 2.3.3,which was the easy part, and then used revolutionary. It said I was already s off, and asked if I wanted to install a recovery. I said yes. Upon reboot of my phone it turned itself off and rebooted. Again. And again. In an infinite loop. I went back into recovery and wiped cache and installed the su zip from my sd card, flashed another Rom. Nothing. Installing another Rom has it stuck on boot animation. I have to restore stock and start all over.
I'm confused on what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

No.
The instructions are in the radios sticky in the dev forum. Read up, backup, then go for it.
