I don't know what the hell I've done but when I hold my power button now to get up my reboot options they do not appear anymore. The phone just screens off then loads back up from the Sony Ericsson boot screen but only takes a few seconds to load

I am using a theme. I've been swapping between themes for a while and all was fine until now. I did delete some stuff using titanuim backup but the problem happened before that anyway.
Really dont want to reflash. I have my play as i like it lol

You might have replaced some files in system/framework
This happened to me aswell
Xperia Play Won't boot.
I bought Asphalt 7. Was downloading and installing the game when suddenly it kind of crashed. It booted again but the screen became all glitchy. Opened the phone and saw that the flex cable died so I replaced it and booted but it didn't boot at all. When pressing the on button the phone vibrates but no screen.
Allready flashed .ftf file and updated with SEUS so the device is in stock state but it doens't boot. When pressing the on button the phone vibrates but no screen. :crying:
Help me please
Have you tried putting it on charge?

Are you sure you didn't mess anything else up whilst replacing the flex cable?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
No i didn't. I was really carefull while replacing the flex
Please help mee
I think you didn't replace the flex properly.
I have checked it for 10 times. I have guarantee so I just sent it to Sony. I will see have tried everything. I hope they give me a new phone.
I had just received this phone, and I haven't modded anything. When I got this phone, it was stuck in boot loop, and I have no idea what the previous owner did to it. He said it was a battery issue, but the battery charges and holds a charge. The phone boots, makes it to the ATT screen, and reboots. I have no idea how to boot this phone into recovery, or if it even has one (which would be pretty crappy on Sony's part if it didn't.) Is there any way this can be fixed? Also, I tried downloading flashtool and it's not compatible with my version of Windows 8 (Eval copy :/ ). Am I out of luck?
BUMP
Need help ASAP.
See if you can get into recovery by either spamming Vol up or the back button when you turn the phone on.

Hello People!
I am afraid that I somehow ended up with my phone bricked. I have been running Stock Gingerbread but rooted. I upgraded to 2.3.6. recently and this morning, for reasons yet unknown to me, my phone was dead.
It was on the charger all night so the battery should be charged all right. When I turn it on, it vibrates, but that is it for about 30secs. After that the keyboard and the capacitive buttons below the screen light up and remain turned on for seemingly indefinite time. I cannot test if the phone responds as the screen is ... black. What might this be ? Are there any peopl ewith experience ?
Kind regards
mlksh
You could always try to odin to stock ics? Can you get into download mode? If so there are guides to get to stock ics from there and guides to root it. gingerbread is old school

But the phone failed for no apparent reason - I have never heard of any phone behaving like this. I try to hook it up when I get back home on Tuesday. I am actually wondeirng if it might be a hardware fault ? But if it is ... then why does the keybaord light up and glow indefinitely ?
Can you get into download mode? If so then most likely a software issue. I believe you hold power button and volume up till its in dl screen.

it sounds like something wasn't upgraded right. Try going into download mode (pwr + up) and use odin to flash UCLJ3 (ics) and try to see if that fixes the os not booting up completely
Hey i like this idea... Lol
