[Q] [Help?] R800at Stuck in bootloop - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had just received this phone, and I haven't modded anything. When I got this phone, it was stuck in boot loop, and I have no idea what the previous owner did to it. He said it was a battery issue, but the battery charges and holds a charge. The phone boots, makes it to the ATT screen, and reboots. I have no idea how to boot this phone into recovery, or if it even has one (which would be pretty crappy on Sony's part if it didn't.) Is there any way this can be fixed? Also, I tried downloading flashtool and it's not compatible with my version of Windows 8 (Eval copy :/ ). Am I out of luck?

BUMP
Need help ASAP.

See if you can get into recovery by either spamming Vol up or the back button when you turn the phone on.

[Q] [HELP] Bricked? while trying to Unroot

Hey all -- I am an idiot, first and foremost.
I was running an older version of CM7 and just bought an Evo 3D. I decided to sell my Evo 4G online, and went to unroot it. I ran the original software RUU (1.06.651.4) on the phone, (because I am dumb and didn't think things through) and now it is semi-bricked.
Symptoms:
The phone turns on with only a black screen (it is "lit up" but nothing appears on the screen).
The phone vibrates once, then the phone plays a sound (a little tune) to indicate it is booting up.
The phone plays a sound to indicate a low battery warning.
The phone plays a sound to indicate when I connect the USB cable to it.
If I try to boot to bootloader by holding Vol-Down when powering up, the black screen appears with no sound and no further action.
If I try to re-run the RUU, or run a different RUU, I get a USB Connection Error.
I can't run an RUU, I can't flash anything because I have no access to Recovery, etc.
Can anyone help fix my stupidity? I shouldn't have rushed into unrooting. Damnit.
Mmm. Interesting situation. I don't think you're screwed though.
Try this.
Pull the battery and let it chill for a minute.
Put it back in
Try to boot into bootloader again by holding volume down key.
Hopefully it will allow you to boot into hboot.
Report back how that goes

Have done combinations of 'remove battery, let sit, reboot (into bootloader OR regular reboot)' since yesterday. No change.
Smash it and get a replacement

All of those require the ability to access the bootloader.
But thanks.

Phone is having issues.

First off:
R800x
VZW 2.3.4
Rooted
Okay, here is the issue. After installing the Darkforest CDMA 3.0.5 rom for locked bootloaders, I began to notice that after about 0.5-12 hours of my phone being on, it would REMAIN on (I know this because using the volume rockers would either vibrate or make noise) but the screen would be completely black, and use of the power button or home button would cause no reaction from the phone. Then I would have to remove the battery, replace it, and then attempt to reboot (reboot would only happen about 1/10 times, unless booting into recovery mode.) Reluctantly, in an attempt to fix this I wiped system, flashed back to my 2.3.3 ftf, rooted, and OTA'd to 2.3.4. But, it is still happening, but I notice boot DOES work, only about 10 minutes after pressing the button.
Any help is gratefully accepted.
EDIT: After a little testing, I noticed after the screen goes out, sliding the gamepad out fixes the issue, I am not sure if it fixes it on boot. Is this possibly a hardware issue, or software issue?
EDIT: Pulling out the Game pad once or twice during boot or after the screen goes black DOES fix it and shows the screen, no idea what's wrong, if it is hardware issues is it possible to fix?

Uhm, to start, mind sending me a link to the ROM? Couldn't find it.
Initially, I thought it was the from but since you flashed stock and then OTAd, I'm not sure what it could be

Sorry, my phone was officially broken, hadn't checked XDA since, all is fixed, just got a replacement instead of fixing it myself.

[Q] Xperia Play Won't boot on stock firmware HELP!

I bought Asphalt 7. Was downloading and installing the game when suddenly it kind of crashed. It booted again but the screen became all glitchy. Allready flashed .ftf file and updated with SEUS so the device is in stock state but it doens't boot. When pressing the on button the phone vibrates but no screen. :crying:

[Q] My Phone Is Dead

After installing foxhound on my phone it asked me if i wanted to disable the phones ability to reboot with stock firmware or something like that, i chose yes because i wanted foxhound to boot and not the stock so i selected yes, It then completely shut down and didnt reboot, it will not start at all not even into download mode, will not appear on my computer which fails to install the phone hardware, and Odin cant detect it, the only thing that happens when i plug it in is the red led light turns on and shuts off after a little while.
I even ordered a usb jig, but when i plug it into the phone it dosent do anything.
Is there any way to fix my phone? or will i have to travel to the city to get a replacement?
You installed a rom meant for the international s3 this broke your phone. The only repair now is Jtag.

[Q] Galaxy s2 hercules wont boot after 3/24/13 nightly installed

Hello all,
I installed the newest Cyanogenmod 10.1 nightly (3/24/13) and the phone worked just fine for a few hrs. But when I selected Google Play the phone turned off and got stuck in a boot loop. I tried rebooting in download mode by connecting to my PC while holding volume up+down but it doesn't wotk. I tried rebooting into recovery but still no luck. No matter what I do it just boots to the Samsung logo then just vibrates in 3 second intervals.
I'm ok with flashing my phone to stock and rooting again. But it wont do anything but vibrate every few seconds no matter what I try. I'm desperately trying to get it into download mode. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
Did u try removing battery & then try to reboot?

Yes, I did.
Weirdest thing happened though. I got frustrated and left the phone vibrating on my desk. I came back 10 minutes later and it's back to normal!!
I have no idea what happened and I don't plan to try to figure it out. I'm happy it's back up and running.
Thanks for the reply though. Very much appreciated.
That is weird
