[Q] Compile a Flashable .zip from Stock ROM? - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

I would like to be able to flash stock 2.3.4 for my Galaxy Gio GT-S5660M from TWRP recovery. How about would I go compiling the META-INF folder (which includes the update-binary and updater-script)? I have already extracted the /system directory and the boot.img from the rom. If you'd like to download the stock ROM here's the link: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BwfkTu8oetfPNUx1N3Z6TUhUaWc/edit If you would to unpack the .tar within the .rar, the password is 'sampro.pl'.
How do I create the updater-script and update-binary? And after that, how do I zip up the files and sign them so I don't get an error?

Take it from another rom
A stock based one.

Thank you for that bit of information. I was unsure of what to do until you said that! I took the whole META-INF folder from the Arpeggiomod ROM and also the boot.img because it is an ext4 ROM whereas stock is rfs. Technically, my ROM isn't stock but modified stock. Farewell!

[Rom] Stock Deodex and Odex [9-30-2011]

Here is are zips of Deodexed and Odexed of the /system pulled from my phone, I decided to go ahead and just open up a thread for it for those who would like to be able to make their own rom or do what ever they like and would have a base to go off of. These are not full roms there fore these files are NOT flashable, so please do not ask. These zip files do have su built in but do not have busybox so if you use them to base your rom off of, you will have to add busybox.
Steps I took:
1) adb pull /system /EG30-Stock
2) Deodexed files
3) zipped up the deodexed and odexed files into zip files and uploaded
Download EG30 Stock Odexed
Download EG30 Stock Deodexed

After Restore a Custom ROM can't boot

Hi guys any 1 can help me i want o install 1custom ROm but i flash and all and they dont boot i dont now why :S
and other questions where cna i fidn ftf files? for stock ROMS?
xd
BUMP
It doesn't boot because you need to flash a kernel compatible with that rom. The kernel file is the boot.img file inside the rom zip file, however, they do not always work. To flash a kernel you need to unlock the phone bootloader and use fastboot.
Here are the stock firmwares: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1589399

Yea thanks for link of Stock Firmware , and i know that i need unlocked bootloader for flash kernel but the rom i try to install its for locked phones and i try to install 3 diferent stock roms and then restore the custom rom but still not booting :S
i do wipe and clear dalvik cache i dont know why dont boot
If you flash a stock rom like NXT rom, you just need to flash the stock kernel. You can do this in flashtool, when you drag over the ftf file, check to exclude everything except the kernel for flashing. But then you're probably using stock rom in the first place. Make sure you don't flash a CDMA rom to a GSM phone and vice versa.
I had that problem once. The solution was to flash another boot image because the one that I was using was for ICS ROMS and my backup was GB. The boot and the kernel must be compatible with your ROM.

[Q] [Odex][MB1][MC3][MD4]Hotspot Mod

I root my sprint sg3 with root66_SPR_L710VPBLJ7, then with rootkeeper update to mb1 and now md4. I have a stock rom and stock recovery. Is there any way to flash Odex Hotspot mode without having to change my stock recovery.
Unzip the flashable he provides, then copy the files to /system using a root explorer and then reboot

Thanks CNexus, it worked great, all original.
:good:
Yup
Just a small note, that only worked because he used the stock files and you're on stock rooted and not a custom rom
On any other rom it probably would've given you bootloops

Flash stock samsung kernel?

Is there a way to return to stock kernel without reflashing the whole rom?
I can extract the boot.img from the rom zip file but I have no idea how to flash it.
