Wrong forum, this is the Galaxy note 2 forums. You will have better help on the Galaxy S 3 forums.

Hi all. Now that Sprint is also going to charge for tethering, is the hotspot hack still worth it? I had planned on tethering my phone with my wifi only galaxy tab 10.1.
Thanks!

What? They blocked tethering apps but have no way to know for sure that you are tethering. So Hotspot away. You can use way more data filling your sd card with movies everyday.

Is there a wayvyo remove the "wifi connected" message in the notification pulldown tray? I see there are ways for the verizon sg3, but that doesn't work for our phones. Thanks in advance.

I do not believe there is a way to disable it on the stock rom but I'm sure there will be a way to disable it using a custom ROM.

ok so i want to know why it is that Sprint and AT&T have pushed 4.3 to the Note II but Verizon and T-Mobile act like what update that just seams a little odd if you ask me does anyone know the reason why we are still stuck in the out of the box 4.1 and dont have 4.2 or the 4.3 update is T-Mobile and Verizon both just not care anymore about the owners of the Note 2 and more worried about the Note 3 owners or just trying to push everyone on the Note 3 to make more money
T-Mobile is wifi calling, most likely.

This^ and modem (aka radio) in relation. Probably that is the delay. Your guess is as good as mine...
you know t-mobile has the note 3 with wifi calling so it cant be that hard to fix the radio i could maybe see i just think like verizon they are trying to drum up note 3 sells

I have a rooted ATT Galaxy s4 and looking to change the 4g dns servers. I run my own server to help block ads and such. I would love to be able to use this on the go and block 99% of bs crap in apps/sites while on 4g but I cannot find any info on how to do it reliably. I am running 4.4.2 atm also.

Wow. I clicked the galaxy 4 forum. I am sorry. Did not look when I posted. I will repost there. This thread can be locked.
I have a Galaxy Note 4 and am trying to change the DNS settings. When I long click the Wi-Fi setting and have put in the password and tapped on advanced settings, the only options it gives me is "none" or ''manual". Selecting either only gives me a choice to cancel.??? HELP......Anyone?
Hello guys I have unlimited data on cricket (originally an AT&T phone). Are there any apps that work for tethering? Such as FoxFi or PDANet?
Any information or anyone with experience would be very helpful!
Thank you very much

PDANet is what I use to tether my rooted Gear S running Null Rom to my Note 4. I'm on AT&T though.

Thanks for your help
