Take a screen print of the battery consumption summary in settings and post it. Next, click on the display and take a screen print of your on screen time and post that also.

Look man, I've already moved your other thread that was the same question as this one to the Q&A section and out of General. Questions go in Q&A and we certainly don't need 2 threads that are nearly identical.
This Thread Moved to Q&A and Closed. Take all talk to the one here ---> [Q] DARTHSTALKER v8 Battery life

Hey guys, just wondering what's a ROM/Kernel combo with the best battery life ? I'm on Stock right now and I get about 7hrs and 5 of those hours are on Standby lol. I tried Android Revolution with Trinity and got about 12 with about 6 of those hours on standby and 6 hours of very light usage. I did flash a rom the other day that gave me about 23hrs with light usage but I can't remember what it was >_<
Thanks
Stop making these threads. Pleaaaaseeeeee.
Stock.

Minco v4 works on standby maybe 2-3 calls and bad service in my home I get in 12 hours from 92% its drops to 82-80 % and that's with OC settings

again?????? seriously?!!! battery life mostle depends in the kernel.
Whichever one works best on your individual phone in your unique circumstances. No one knows what will work best for you but yourself.
There's a reason mods lock the plethora of threads such as this. It's a pointledly subjective question and a waste of bandwidth.

Stock is best.
eventually all that will be left are the ugly pandas
The answer to this will be different for everybody, dependent on how you use your phone and for what. There is no universal answer. You have to find out what works best for you.
I know that's not a great answer, but it's the honest truth. I, personally, run Jellybro with Franco (on Wheatley), but that's for the mix of features, smoothness, and other factors.

There are too many variables for these threads/questions to work, the easiest thing is just try different combinations until you find what works for you.

This should probably be in the Rom thread not many devs look in here. I don't recommend cluttering ROM threads though unless you have a legitimate problem and can't find an answer after doing some searching. Anything else is just asking to get flamed.

This thread will soon be locked with all the others. But before it is... My thoughts are, Check out the threads for roms you might like, Read features/bugs/working/not portion.. Go to last few pages of thread.. read what users are experiencing with lastest release. Find the best fit for you. There are TONS of options. I run The People's Rom, Ktoons Kernel combo (Available through flash) and you have crazy customization options using Morphology. (Which is supported in TPR) Overall consensus of that rom is.. Great battery life, Snappy, and just what the doctor ordered!

Is it worth switching from moar to P.A.C man? I hate stock based roms, but the battery is incredible.
I also enjoy hybrid a lot.so in your honest opinion do you think it's Mike the switch over to pacman ROM.

I agree with Ninja25. Nowadays, most ROMs (both AOSP and TW) have pretty good battery life. I personally don't mess around with kernels too much, but most people report is that the kernel makes the biggest difference. The main point that kennyglass123 was bringing up was that even though we all have the same phone, one person's setup will not work as well for another person. The best bet is to read the ROM's last 5-10 pages and see what people are reporting on battery life (common topic on each ROM's thread). Typically people will report their settings in order to get those hours out of their phones.
In summary, try out the ROM with stock kernel. If the battery life lacks luster, flash a different kernel (make sure it's compatible with your version of android, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2, etc.) and see if it makes it better.
And please, please make a Nandroid backup before messing with anything. It's just good practice.
There are many ways to maximize your battery life on android. Turning off data or WiFi when not in use. Get betterbatterystats and figure out which app is draining the most. Turn off GPS / Bluetooth when not in use. Have your email sync to 2hours or 4 hours syncs. There are so many ways to maximize your battery life. If any of these didn't help then go ahead and use custom kernels. I never found the use of them. Stock kernel does just fine. (My opinions) hope this helps and good luck to you and your battery

Hey guys this is my first posting in the kindle section so be nice. I flashed hashcodes cm10 on my girls kindle like 3 months ago and she is having major battery drain problems like from full charge to dead on a day just from stand by. Is there anything I should look into like settings wise or another rom. She just wants a rom that is compatible with an external keyboard. Thanks guys and girls

CM7 is a good choice if you are concerned with battery life. sblood86 has on available somewhere in the development forum. Check the development index stickied at the top of the forum.
Latest CM10.1 is way better

It's normal for that generation of ROMs. Feel free to install ROMs with latest Hash's kernel, it's not draining more than 1% during the night stand-by. I can tell You for sure that Twa-priv's ROMs are working with external keyboards, assume it's the same with all of them with same kernel.
Alright thanks guys
