Good evening, I would like to know if some kernel exists for my i8160 with the option activated BLN.
Nowadays I have GB
Thank you very much

I wanted to ask if we can already enjoy Voodoo kernel on our Captivate Glide. I have read that Inception mod implements it "partially", although I cannot post there yet to ask what's meant by "partialy"... I just don't want to spam to reach 10 posts threshold.
Does Osimood implement the Voodoo kernel (partially, or all?)
Hope you can tell me
Cheers
Tony
AFAIK osimood uses the latest dman's kernel. so it has the same kernel functions as inception ROM.
Yup, I am suspecting that too. Maybe dman or CarpeNoctem can chime in at some point, and tell us which features of Voodoo are currently enabled. I take Voodoo improvements are already enabled by default when playing music with my app of choice... Right? Or should I install a separate apk? (like Voodoo sounds plus, from the market)
Cheers
Tony
Is it possible to get dman's kernel separate from either rom?
I would like that too. So people who'd like to keep close to the stock esthetics, could still enjoy dman's wonderful kernel without having to work on Inc3ption rom to undo some of his work.
i already asked that in the inception thread and dman said that you can use the kernel without the dependency of any rom.
Awesome. Where can the link to the kernel be found?
And if there's no link, is it possible to pull the kernel from one if the roms?
So any news as to separately impement the kernel? What further development is there to make?
hi how can i use two roms in the same time is there any KERNEL can do it like Siyah Kernel in galaxy s3
No.
Not yet, guess someone will do Multiboot sometime, but dont coun't on that.
hi there,
tried to find an answer to this today but wasn't able to finde one.
is there a rom that supports the phone encryption that was introduced to honeycomb/ics? i tried cm9.1 but it's broken. nothing happens when i start the process.
does the stock ics have such an option that works?
thanks in adv
edit: i think it's kernel related. found KeiCS kernel from last year that explicit supports encryption.
no mention in lupus or turbo kernel threads. but perhaps someone knows?
I can´t find a Kernel for Stock ROM .230 with the tap2wake feature, the only i find is the 78 Kernel, but it doesn´t work fine, does anyone know about a good kernel for .230 stock rom with this feature?

Click to collapse
I don't think it's supported by ZL hardware... you need the small 2nd core i think for it to work
it works with other roms like Paranoid, Cyanogenmod etc... inclusive with stock rom but when i reboot the phone, the feature disable

Hm..didn't know it worked on any Z/ZL.. my bad
Then I don't know
If you are on stock/based rom you need to use Gustavo kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2624339
And be sure to enable init.d script on your rom...there are some free app on play story to enable it... On my phone stock rom+Gustavo kernel works so good.
T-mobile Prism II released the kernel source
I was wondering if anyone could make a custom kernel i am willing to test it out with my Prism II.
The only thing im interested in having changed on the kernel is that it supports swap! This phone comes with 512mb ram which is low and it would be nice to use swap with this phone.
https://github.com/Prism2/HUAWEI-U8686-Open-Source-U8686-JellyBean-kernel-3.4.0-
That is the link for the source kernel i found with a simple search.
This phone is so close to having a custom rom. Rooted, bootloader unlocked and CWM_recovery has already been made possible on this forum.
Can anyone tell me where i would add the line CONFIG_SWAP=y in that open source kernel the link is above in my post.
Is that all that needs to be done to this kernel to enable swap?
