Hello,
I'm currently following this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526866 & http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928343 to install a custom rom on my Xperia S.
Now i am stuck at the flashing point, i need a ftf file to flash the phone, but currently the only i got is : X10_V1_BLRelock.
And this is not for a Xperia S, i tried searching on the forum but i couldn't find any.
Could someone give me a link to a ftf file so i can flash my xperia S?
Or can i just follow this tutorial : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAotNyORw-s and use an updated rom?
Ftf is just a stock rom

Aaah i see currently downloading a stock rom then
But i got another problem : My computer doesn't want to install the FastBoot driver
I installed the USB Driver by using the Sony SDK Kit and i tried adding the driver by using Device manager . But all i'm getting is this when i use Device Manager : Windows could not find driver software for your device.
Go my computer. Hard drive. Flashtool. Drivers. And install xs drivers and fast and flights drivers

My LT15i got upgraded to .62 version via OTA and I wanted to downgrade it to .42 to root it safely and easily. Something didn't work out and after flashing the downgrade my phone got bootlooped. I downloaded different official ROMs to go back to, but I can't flash them

Any ideas what can I do? I didn't use fastboot since I'm not sure what should I do with it, just flashtool.
Just keep flashing it or use Update Service to repair it.
There are dozens of generic ROMs.
e.g. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1491066
Use Flashtool repeatedly.. doesn't always work the first time around..
Does the LED indicator change after a while of being plugged in in flash mode? Check this, as I kept having the same issue. I just kept yanking the cable out and plugging it back in and repeating the procedure over and over until it fianlly flashed the kernel for me.
Was using arcknight kernel when i got stuck in bootloop, flashed to stock kernel and repaired over SEUS before unlocking BL and rooting once again using zergrush
Follow these steps.
pre requisites - Rooted/Bootloader unlocked.
1. Download the Flash tool.
2. Download the generic global rom - LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.42 (.ftf) [Search in the forum]
3. Flash the ftf using flash tool. (google how to flash using flash tool. There are numerous threads)
4. Once you successfully installed .42 firmware. [Using flashtool root the mobile using zergrush method. if u want]
5. Install busybox using flash tool.
6. Install x-parts from play store to install the CWM.
That's it.
Let me know if u have any problems.

The problem is, I used to have root and CWM installed, but now I can't enter it, because when I flash the ROM, it gets stuck in certain moment. I'm stuck somewhere between 3 and 4 point, where my flashtool doesn't correctly flash the ROM onto my Lt15i. From this bootloop I can't reach CWM or normal system to enter the google play or something.
I'll keep on trying flashing it, I'll also try to flash it from another computer
Is it possible that flashtool is being blocked by certain application like, I don't know, PC companion?
Additionally, I can't go back to the stock ROM via PC companion or SEUS, because when I'm in flashmode and phone is ready to flash, the PC companion says that my phone is already upgraded and there are no new updates to it, so it can't be upgraded, even tho there is some old flashed ROM inside ( I think PC companion reads the old ROM, that I used to have before bootloop, I believe it was the 4.0~~~~.62 version)

Disable antivirus and run the flash tool with adminstrator. Try to refalsh the .42 firmware.
Try to flash the .42 ftf with old version of flash tool. I saw some cases where with new flash tool, .42 is not flashed successfully.

are your adb drivers enabled? i tried tooting my arc s before and i thought that if i connect it and install the drivers i can go to rooting but then i found out that my windows don't enable the drivers automatically so i had to do it manually.
Thanks for sharing so much information. We'll definitely help you now.
Seriously. Give us more information, what phone, what firmware, what method you are trying to use. Otherwise - No.
Flash stock ROM .587
Set Settings->Xperia->USB Connectivity to MSC
Set USB Debugging
Enable Unknown Sources
flash the ready to root kernel .431
apply the root toolkit
flash stock .587 kernel
It worked for me

Try to install Sony PC Companion or Sony Update Service
Or you could try install Flashtool and install the included drivers too
I would recommend you that next time, don't post a question thread in Development Section

+1
all these programs are installed.
sorry to have put the issue in development.
The required drivers are installed by windows 7 automatically :/
try a different usb port.
perhaps you deleted mtp apk in system/app.
but are you trying this in the cwm?
80% of these have broken mass storage
boot in a rom, or try advanced stock kernel or TWRP
ps: leave QUESTION to QUESTION section, not development

I am very much keen to flash the Official upcoming 4.1.2 for Sony Xperia S devices.
But I'm really confused on how to get it done on my unlocked bootloader, once the new firmware is released.
Please take out time to give suggestions.
Appreciated.

I dont think the NEW JB would be available to download anytime soon.. So just wanted to Connect the Phone to PCC on my Xperia and Flash it.
Already Flashed ICS STOCK via FLASHTOOL on Phone but since its not MY COUNTRY specific
The build gives a few errors.
Just want it like the brand new as if its out of box with the New JB.
Please Reply.

You have three options -
1) Wait until someone releases the FTF file of stock JB and flash it with Flashtool
2) Relock your bootloader and try to do a software repair/update with Sony PC Companion/SUS.
3) Use Sony's official Flashtool for unlocked bootloader to restore your device to ICS/update it to official JB.
In my opinion, don't relock your bootloader but just wait until someone gets the update and makes the FTF file. Meanwhile, you can use Sony's official Flashtool and revert back to stock ics.

Which new JB? the ftf you download and flash is the same that you get from PCC or SUS, just using a different way.
Hi, I root my xperia play (verizon version) just fine and has been using custom ROM for a while and it all works great. but then I wanted to try a different ROM and so I install NexPlay ROM via recovery menu. The installation process was fine and it went through but when the phone is rebooted it just stucks at the sony ericssons logo and won't go anywhere, I can't turn off the phone or anything and i can't get back into recovery mode. Please help. I need this back to working fast!

If you unlocked your bootloader, use emma instead of pc companion
http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/how-to-download-and-install-the-flash-tool/
Flashtool is at flashtool.net
For ftf file you'll have to search, i have r800i model and i don't know wich ftf is for your r800x
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
Stock ftf for r800x can be found here http://www.xperiagamer.com/Stock-Roms/233-se-stock-firmware-for-flashtool.html
If you're on windows 8 you might need to manually install fastboot drivers.

For a better support you should tell us which kernel are you using, and which ROM you were using before flashing NeXPLay.
If you just made the mistake of installing NeXPay (ICs ROM) on a GB kernel, then you don't need to reset everything with flashtool.
thanks but i just flashed my verizon rom with flashtool and that seems to get me back...
now which custom firmware/rom is the best for R800x?

Depends on how you use your phone. If you are a gamer then you should try a LuPuS kernel and a Gingerbread ROM but if you don't care about gaming then you can try a ICs ROM and which kernel you prefer.
If you need some in choosing one of the many ICs/GB ROMs, just ask
