Hi everybody,
I research a rom custom for my ace2, but without touching the kernel.
Where can i get it ?
Thanks everybody...
Sorry, i speak little english, thanks for your indulgence.
Android version : 2.3.6
Baseband version : I8160PXXLK3
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-I8160XXLD8-CL1100997
Version number : GINGERBREAD.XXLK2
Maybe this one?
It's just a stock ROM with some apps removed, AFAIK there is no other ROM that doesn't require custom kernel. (ROMs need to be installed with custom recovery and you need a custom kernel for that)
Any Rom is ideal and the kernel should have CWM recovery and not TWRP (TWRP is the touch version and CWM the no touch one). Next time try the Q and As and if you don't want to do that at least do some research.
Regards.
Thanks, but i didn't understand everything...
I search french rom, possible ?
Sorry again, but my english is not well

Yes, you can use any kernel. No need to reinstall the ROM.
Kernel and ROM are placed separately, changing one will not harm the other one.
That also means, you can change kernels at any time.
But make sure, that you use ICS ROM with ICS kernel, GB ROM with GB kernel and JB ROM with JB kernel. Otherwise your phone will not boot. If such things happen, try another kernel.
especial thanks ,for ur especial answer my bro
Bit of a noob question, but how do I replace my phones Kernel ? Is it something built into the ROM I download or can I reaplce it independant of the ROM ? I am wondering if this may fix my gyro / accelerometer problem..
Thanks
Ian
Just flash your Kernel.zip from CWM or TWRP.

Yes, it is something built into the ROM, every ROM has it's own stock Kernel.
And yes, you can replace your ROM's stock Kernel. Be careful though, you have to choose the right Kernel for your phone's ROM.
Not sure if changing the Kernel will fix the gyro of your phone.
Better watch a video guide about flashing kernels and rooting :/
Sent from my GT-N7100
ROM: ARHD 19

Hi all,
Is there anyone who can help me build a kernel for my own ROM (N4S-Rom) or can make this job. I want to have a stock near Kernel that is only set to permissive. I didnt find a good instruction to learn how to do it.

Here you go. Link
@Zayn1 your request is incorrect.
Because kernel is also constituted by custom libraries, residing in /system.
By flashing kernel, you would mess up the device with incompatible libraries.
The solution is much simple: you have to reflash the full rom from recovery.
Both kernel and system libraries will be replaced with official ones.

Which ROM are you using and which kernels did you try? You can't use just any random kernel. It has to be compatible with your ROM first.
thanks for reply
the last i tried was...
rom: ua_tuna-4.4.4-20181228-1431
kernel: gnex_oc_uv

you can only use AnyKernels with those. If you're using an older ROM like AOKP or CM etc, you could try one of the customs kernels on those but those ROMs (and kernels) are very dated. Your best bet is to use UA (out of the box) as they are the most updated ones for this device.
i also tried omni rom & los.... stuck at google logo also.
can you give me a working link for:
- android 4.4.4 + custom kernel for overclock
- android 7.x + custom kernel for overclock
thanks in advance
