[Q]AKOP JB wont work... - HTC One V

Okay so ive unlocked my boot loader, rooted my phone and sucessfully installed CWM 6.0 on my One V(CDMA). Okay so i was following the tutorial for installing the AKOP from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878994 but whenever i start up my phone it just gets stuck on the HTC splash screen saying the "this build is for testing purposes only..." i know that the kernel has to be flashed and i did do that using the sick kernel for HTC Primoc JB boot.img but it stilljust gets stuck on the splash screen i've alradey tried installing this ROM 2 times and my patience is really growing thin. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im not sure if i am doing somenthing wrong so if someone could post a step-by-step tutorial with all the download links it would be appreciated.

Please help- totally befuddled

Hi let me start off saying ive been on forum for a while so im not a noob with research or reading.
my problem is im now one of the group who are having infinite bootloop (htc white splash screen to black blankness back to splash screen. my phone was rooted by unrevoked method, soff hboot 2.18 radio 2.15.00.12.19.
steps I've tried:
taking out battery and replacing
hboot into recovery. usually takes me out of bootloop.
redoing smelkus recovery which allowed me to get to recovery for 5 seconds then back to bootloop.
then i tried 4.67 RUU for my radio version. 1st time i ran it the only thing changed was my phone is locked however its still s-off? I've tried RUU 3x each time program says successful but still bootloop and still soff.
does anyone see a step i missed? have any suggestions? I've read on this forum and a few others about the bootloop headache. would returning to soff then unrooting work? or flashing to different radio and RUU version?
thanks in advance
i want my og back?

What roms have you flashed? Try flashing a sense Rom. See if you can get it to boot.

Have you tried a different sdcard?
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
clear ALL data from recovery menu, and flash a different rom, make sure its for your device
i was on an ics cm9 based rom. i usually have sense based roms. i also tried with a different sd card but no luck.
wipe again from hboot menu clear storage?
am i able to flash from hboot or is it adb because recovery comes on literally for 5 seconds then returns to bootloop

[Help] Boot loop problem when flashing SOME roms

hi guys! i'm still a noob here
i have questions with regard to flashing customized Roms.
I tried so many modified Roms and i noticed that some Roms worked while some didn't so I ended up trying only those that does not give boot loop.
Example.. I'm currently using evanlocked USSR v4.. and when i try to install the v5 I got boot loop. I tried for so many times and still no sign of hope. I've wait for 30min and still in boot loop. Of course i've followed the instructions carefully since i've tried some roms already. But not just in USSR, it also happens to some roms.
Is it because of my Baseband??
What is it by the way? (noob question)
Is it the cause of the boot loop problem?
please help guys..
my Baseband is DXKK2.

Need serious help. Phone not booting

So,I tried installing CM10 following instructions from lloirs thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835285).
I flashed the boot.img in the first step because he says it is a better option.
After that I proceeded to flash the CM10 zip file, but the install failed.
After that my phone wouldn't boot, so I did a restore from CWM and now my phone is stuck on the HTC One screen for a good half an hour.
Please help. Really need the phone tomorrow.

Which ROM would be safe? Because I used the correct Kernel with this as well. Think I should go with the CM9?

[RESOLVED] Stuck on HTC loading screen

I ran a zip file that was supposed to set super user, and now I am stuck at the main screen. I am using revolutionmod and it won't get past this screen. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.
Need some info. Are you s-off or htcdev unlock or just stock? What did you flash it in? Adb or recovery?

If you are using revolutionary to root it does everything for you so there would be no need to run an extra su zip. From what you are saying it sounds like you are trying to root.
What is your hboot and what Rom are you running? If you are on stock android unrooted 2.3.4 then you will need to downgrade so you will be able to use revolutionary correctly.
Also do NOT use the HTC unlock for the bootloader. You will not be s-off and will regret it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was gone all day yesterday and figured what the issue was. I forgot to put the updated radio on my SD and then update it. It fixed it and now I'm running Liquid Gingerbread 3.2
Thanks again for the help guys!

Stuck on HTC screen
First I would like to apologize if this is the wrong way to do this as this is my first post as a new member. Please let me know the correct protocal if this is wrong.
I unlocked using HTC bootloader unlock
I rooted Android 2.3.4 using Superoneclick
Deleted Verizon bloatware
I have/had CWM v5.0.2.0-vivow and ROM Manager
Tried to flash custom ROM directly from Rom Manager
Everything seemed like it went well but froze on white HTC screen in reboot
Tried to flash MIUI with CWM and it successfully flashed but stuck on same HTC screen
Tried to restore
Tried to do Factory Data Reset (wiped everything)
Tried the IMG.zip trick and bootloader doesn't read it. (not sure if I have the right ones I need for 2.3.4)
Boots into bootloader and CWM fine but can't get past the HTC screen
Please help or direct me to someone that can so I can SIM unlock for my GF. She has to use a crap phone right now.
I appreciate your time and any effort
1. Htcdev unlock isn't full s off so flashing stuff is more complicated.
2. Name it to PG32IMG.zip
3. You'll get faster replies of you make your own question thread

It's htcdev unlocked
I used ROM manager to download and flash
Then when it froze I tried using CWM to flash MIUI
It said it was successful but still stuck on HTC screen
Try downloading a stock RUU and name it to PG32IMG.zip and put it in the root of your SD card and boot into hboot. Then I would personally suggest going for full s off because flashing ROMs is 10 times easier. But if not, after reverting to stock re flash any ROM you want through whatever process you have to for htcdev unlock

I have a htc one v and was trying to update to jelly bean through steps from Android Authorty's guide
After completing this set of instructions I booted up my phone and sadly all I got was a htc screen with the red writing which then turned black and nothing happened after that.
Im pretty worried right now, I dont have much knowledge about androids and I have but a clue as to what I have just done.
Is it permanently damaged? How do i fix this or atlest restore it to the factory state.
Please help!

as for the OP: make sure you also flash the KERNEL for the respective rom. it is not enough to install only the ROM. You need also the kernel because we currently have S-ON devices.

To start over, u should have the stock kernel. U have restored the stock nandroid then u must flash stock kernel...or it will not boot...
Did u flash the kernel at time of installing JB??

Hey i just tried to do this and got error while making backup image of /system
OK so i figured out that i am truly a noob.
I was attempting to install the CDMA version when i needed GSM.
Proud of myself for solving this i went to install the gsm version but sadly now i only get the htc screen with red writing.
It dosent change from there.
Have i done permanent damage because i installed the CDMA version!?
now im getting something really weird my phone goes to the htc screen with red writing then shuts off by itself and then turns on again by itself in a endless cycle of this red writing htc screen.

Alright... let's get your phone fixed!
I assume you have:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Installed a recovery
3. Installed a custom CDMA ROM
4. Then installed a GSM ROM
5. Now phone keeps rebooting?
Is that correct?
