Need serious help. Phone not booting - HTC One V

So,I tried installing CM10 following instructions from lloirs thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1835285).
I flashed the boot.img in the first step because he says it is a better option.
After that I proceeded to flash the CM10 zip file, but the install failed.
After that my phone wouldn't boot, so I did a restore from CWM and now my phone is stuck on the HTC One screen for a good half an hour.
Please help. Really need the phone tomorrow.

Which ROM would be safe? Because I used the correct Kernel with this as well. Think I should go with the CM9?

for time being use rc 5.0..With kiss kernel.. full wipe first

try to do a complete rom refresh (return to stock, look for my signature, there will be almost anything you will need). It happened to me, when I flashed a wrong ruu os via cwm, but after the ruu it worked like it must.
After flash the bootup can last long enough, so wait for at least 5 mins.

There is the VirginMobile/sprint RUU for the PrimoC out at the stock ruu section if you mean that.
But then again, if the phone is already rooted, a custom will be more safer, and/or reasonable and not to mention faster.

as for the OP: make sure you also flash the KERNEL for the respective rom. it is not enough to install only the ROM. You need also the kernel because we currently have S-ON devices.

Hey i just tried to do this and got error while making backup image of /system
OK so i figured out that i am truly a noob.
I was attempting to install the CDMA version when i needed GSM.
Proud of myself for solving this i went to install the gsm version but sadly now i only get the htc screen with red writing.
It dosent change from there.
Have i done permanent damage because i installed the CDMA version!?
now im getting something really weird my phone goes to the htc screen with red writing then shuts off by itself and then turns on again by itself in a endless cycle of this red writing htc screen.

Alright... let's get your phone fixed!
I assume you have:
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Installed a recovery
3. Installed a custom CDMA ROM
4. Then installed a GSM ROM
5. Now phone keeps rebooting?
Is that correct?

Thanks dude.. this is what i did,
I made a nandroid backup..
Copied the cm_primou-ota-eng.Lloir.zip onto the SD card
Booted the device in recovery, wiped the cache and did a factory reset and selected INSTALL .zip FROM SD CARD.. Its just showing cyanogemod animation and nothing happened for atleast 4-5 hours!
Am i doing anything wrong? Please help..
IIRC, you need the Hellboy kernel for cm10.
Do a nandroid backup FIRST.
1.put ROM is sdcard's root.
2. Put boot.img in fastboot folder.
3. Boot into bootloader, from there select fastboot and flash kernel in fastboot.
4. Then go into recovery and do full wipe and then install ROM.
5. Boot into ROM and then again boot into recovery and then flash gapps.
Download this kernel and flash it-
http://www.mediafire.com/?lo2ctaplonbdh
Select this kernel from the list-
boot-HELLBOY-201212251747.img
Flash the kernel using this command-
fastboot flash boot boot.img.
Refer this guide-

Fastboot getvar version-main
Go to fastboot and type that, post outcome. From there on we can find the right RUU for you. Once you have the right ruu you relock the bootloader with
Fastboot oem lock
Then you plug in your device and run the RUU as administrator. First get the version main and don't do anything you can't undo! With an ruu u can get full stock back
If you want to run a custom rom anyway you might as well download one and flash it away and flash the boot that comes with it. I understand if you want to revert back to stock first though, your call

Now have cleared all caches and have initiated Viper install, however it's been at 0.00% for 15 minutes and my battery is draining fast! help help, don't want it to switch off while installing.

Turn off, plugin make sure the zip is still on your phone if not copy again. Unplug phone before flashing and flash zip from sd card again. Just copy the Rom in the internal storage not in a folder, this could cause problems
Don't worry about battery life it usually charges in recovery and if not there are plenty scripts out there to charge it anyway. The thing to do in these kind of situations is stay calm tomorrow I have time to find the right ruu for you if you still want to return back to stock.

You did install all the drivers? So you lost the zip on the storage well that's no biggie, sometimes all I had to do was close htc sync and plug it in again to connect. Try accessing storage when the phone is fully turned on. Do you have usb debugging on?

Hate to say it, but I just repeatedly troll spammed the mount/unmount option in recovery while plugging and unplugging the USB cable - Seems to have done the trick. Copying fresh Viper .zip over. Fresh flash of recovery and fresh flash of Viper boot.img.
Upwards and onwards...
Fingers crossed, lol
There's an option in recovery to wipe everything in preparation for new ROM installation, should I do that?
P.s. thankyou for helping me me on this appreciate it.
Yes do the wipe to be sure and also the wipe in the installer that's what I did. Haha that's okay, this bed I sleep on on my holiday is crap so I guess you're lucky . Wanna know the best bit, my one x is second hand so no warranty to return on!! Hardcore, yippee-kai-yayyy! lol
That's great, tinker around with it all you want! It is really fun flashing different roms. Viper Rom even has OTA, over the air updates. You'd have to read the thread for that though. Once you get viper to work.. make a backup!! Also copy that backup folder to your dekstop so you don't lose it and cause you need the boot.img if you ever want to restore

You are getting there my friend! Read their thread carefully though. yup so these are the steps I followed.
1) flashed the boot.img that I had in the nandroid backup
2) restored the backup
3) booted up completely
4) since touch screen doesn't work
5) restarted the phone went into recovery and installed the OTA
6) booted again and it got stuck
7) erased cache from fastboot -> no-go
Also I just checked couldnt find any boot.img in the OTA zip, dont know what im missing here

If you restored the sense 5 stock rom + boot.img it should be all oke. If not you could try another radio. That's not kernel related

thanx for letting me knw that it is not kernel related(sigh of relief)
but still, can you suggest some roms so that i'll try flashing their boot.img's!
You can try any rom if your hboot is supported. Receiving signal is something different from the signal strength.
The modules in the rom + the delivered boot.img are related to each other to make signal and bluetooth ...etc etc work.
So flash the boot.img from the rom, make a full wipe in recovery, install the rom. That way it should be all good on any rom.
