cm 10.1 for LG optimus G - LG Optimus G (International)

my english is very limited capital
I have seen cm10.1 optimus G, but for E973, has anyone tried it on F180L
All the downloads will go here :
The newest rom is :
http://ribs.bbqdroid.org/cm-10.1-201...ICIAL-E973.zip
Rom :
ribs.bbqdroid.org
You will mostly not be able to flash other rom than the one i link as newest. You need to remove the first line in updater script of newer rom to flash it. If you make the effort to remove that line, please note that those rom are testing rom and they are provided as-is. They might have newer thing in but also new bugs. Take it like pre-alpha of this alpha rom.
Gapps package :

[Q] European (German) Optimus G E975

Hello community,
next month, the E975 come to germany and i want to switch from HTC One X+ to Optimus G.
what we need is a way to root, an unlocked bootloader and a custom recovery.
at Project FreeGee, the latest version 0.6 i think, has particular support for E975 HK and TW.
does it mean it will work with all variants of E975 or only HK and TW?
i read, only firmware 10A can be rooted at the moment, so i must downgrade to 10A - germany starts with 10B.
is there a custom recovery for E975 available?
i found one for Sprint and AT&T but this will not work
please help me to find the right things if there available...
thanks :fingers-crossed:

At the time you have your LG E975, watch this site again, then there will be a root methode. Be patient.
jcase just released a new method that roots pretty much any Optimus G, including E975 10b. As for FreeGee the app doesnt support our phone yet, but now that its rooted I bet they will release an update that does soon.
Just edit your build prop device id to hk or tw and it will work.

Oh cool, was a lot of comments that it didnt work in the FreeGee thread.
Do you also happen to know if the CM10.1, AOSP or AOKP in the Canadian thread would work for E975, maybe need to backup some radio files and restore after flash?

You can try. All those roms don't replace your radio anyway but back it up just in case.
I KDZed the Australian 10A and used freegee to unlock by changing build prop to HK.
However I'm not sure how it will affect a native E975 phone cause freegee unlock fixes our camera and allows it to work as the E971 and E973 have 8mp. But it breaks wifi which has to be fixed manually by replacing a few files.
Just make sure you have a backup or at least the original KDZ so you can revert back.

[Q] LG E975 on Carbon Rom

Hi guys,
I'm trying to install CARBON-ROM on my LG Optimus G (E975 TELUS). So, my cellphone are rooted, I've install ClockworkMOD and Carbon-ROM on it.
When I'm booting up, I see the Carbon Rom bootlogo and after short time, I receive this error message:"Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped"
I'm sure it's a gapps probleme... Unfortunally, i'm not able to get the good gapps version!!
Any link or suggestion?
Do you have the E975 (international) or E973 (Bell/Telus)? They're quite different.
Sent from my LG Optimus G using Tapatalk 4
More information...
TELUS version...
God... E973 and I've try with the E975 ROM
I'll try to find the E973 ROM and I post back my test here
Also, i've found online this Gapps: gapps-jb-20121212-signed.zip
Suppose to be the one I need with my CarbonROM verson!
Test #2
Test #2
Once again, i'm really pissed off by my LG... I've own lot of phone; Blackberry, iPhone and Android but this Optimus give me lot of headhache
So, I've decide to do this swap with all the step possible, maybe too much!
1. Factory Reset/Wipe Data
2. Wipe Cache
3. Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Install CARBON-JB-UNOFFICIAL-20130911-0632-geeb
5. gapps-jb-20121212-signed
6.a Reboot
So, the CarbonRom load, Android setup work #1! But I've 2 issues (after only 10 minutes of testing)
a) Android Keyboard are not showing, so I can't use the keyboard!
b) The return button (Arrow on the phone) are not working!
Any idea?
I think You are using wrong gapps version.
For JB 4.3 based rom - gapps-jb-20130813-signed[, for JB 4.2 based ROM -gapps-jb-20130813-signed.zip.

[Q] Nitro HD (P930) / Optimus LTE (SU640) ROM compatibility?

Greetings to all
So I might be getting my hands on an Optimus LTE (model SU640) soon, but since development for it is not as active as AT&T's Nitro HD (P930), I want to know whether the ROMs for those 2 devices are universal.
Now, before some of you call it impossible, I have gone ahead and done some research on both Chinese and English websites:
1) LU6200 has a MSM8660 CPU, so ROMs are strictly not universal; but SU640 and P930 share the same APQ8064 CPU.
2) They even share the same baseband - I've read many examples where SU640 was flashed a P93x baseband and got better signal.
3) I've even seen an example where someone directly flashed a P930 ROM onto SU640, WiFi and rotation are broken at first, but after flashing a kernel from SU640, everything is said to be okay.
4) I heard there's a patch that converts P930 ROMs to SU640 ones.
5) P930 can also flash a SU640 ROM without much issue - I saw someone booted a stock SU640 ROM on a P930.
So can anyone share their ideas/experiences with flashing P930 ROMs onto SU640 (and vice versa)? Thanks in advance.
Sent from Google Nexus 4 @ crSimple
hi. have you had this figured out? I have lg su640 running stock jellybean v30d. I am a fan of cyanogenmod, upon checking, cm 10.1.3 us the latest available for su640 while p930 is receiving kitkat cm 11. I want kitkat on this phone. thanks.

Sweet ROMs in the international forum

Hadn't been over there in quite a while, but the N7105 forums have some sweet ROMs if you're looking for a change that should work fine on our phones...
Currently running "CM Remix" which has everything but the kitchen sink for an AOSP rom, and so far seems very smooth and stable

They should all be safe to flash. Same hardware on the internal LTE variant.
The build.prop and APNs may vary slightly, but many of the ROMs in this forum are exactly the same as their international versions anyway

By checking for a modem in the zip as the n7105 modem isn't compatible with AT&T or t-mobile. If modem is in the zip I usually just replace with proper modem for your carrier.

No since it's AT&T you will need an AT&T modem in the phone as any other modem will cause an unknown baseband.

Got it, thanks!
Still running the ROM I mentioned in the OP, and it has too many features and too few flaws (none!) for me to try any other!
New build made yesterday - gonna try that, though
BTW, didn't have to change anything to get it optimized for the ATT model- even the APNs were all set up (unless maybe I restored settings that I wasn't aware of)...
1st Nov 2014 (ver 3.0.5.0 STABLE Fix)
Kernel : bundled with latest agni kernel ( Boeffla Sound version with new wifi module)
Update SuperSu to ver 2.16
native support to F2FS (no need to flash any convertor, native support F2FS partition of System. Internal data and Cache partition)
Fixed ART mode * (1 st Nov 2014)

Looks like a great rom!. I'm assuming this rom is ok to flash for any LTE variant (Bell) since it doesn't include a modem?

Should be fine! Just back up as you always would with TWRP and make sure you backup the modem as well. That way you'll always have one backed up if you need it just in case...
Yep, as long a modem isn't included in the zip (which it *typically* isn't in the case of AOSP based roms), you're good to go.
I personally don't even flash t0lteatt roms when they're available and instead use their t0lte counterparts, as the t0lte versions are sometimes more likely to be updated more often (and in some cases the t0lteatt device tree has been abandoned entirely!)
And if anyone's wanting to build a rom from source, while we're on the topic of AOSP roms, the t0lte tree is the way to go as far as the Galaxy Note 2 LTE models are concerned.

What reminded me to check the international forum was when I went to deactivate my old phones in Google Play Music, I noticed most of them were listed as an N7105- and all of the ROMs were downloaded from this forum anyway...
I was wondering about trying Roms from that forum too. I kept seeing posts where someone said something about a DN4 Rom. So I looked it up and downloaded..........only to find that it is not one of the Roms that works on our phone.......as of yet. It did flash and start up, but before I could make it past the welcome screen, I got a bunch of pop-ups about various items "quit working." And they kept coming back. And then I had the unknown baseband with no signal.................basically it just doesn't work. Damn shame too, cause it looked so nice. But this did make me look at the other Roms and I will be trying a few of them. I must say though, DN4 had my mouth watering for the GN4 experience on my 2.

For owners E980 phones

Hi, guys!
I need to know who use LG Optimus G Pro E980. What custom ROM do you use?
Do your phones Deepsleep on custom ROMs?
My friend tried to use many custom ROMs. But his phone didn't Deepsleep.
His phone sleeps only on Stock based ROMs.
Thanks!!!
e988 user here
@Alezzander_ If you having problems with deepsleep this is a good thread for you, i personally use it
http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-g-pro/general/flashaholics-recipe-success-att-e980-t2854320
despite what all ppl here on forums say i never flashed madmacks modem cuz i dont think its for my device.
always start with your models (e980,e988,e986 ORIGINAL firmware kdz and dont flash madmacks modem cuz custom roms dont touch modem partition) then root, recovery, custom rom....
try to avoid installing all apps that have background scanning or syncing (avp or facebook ) that apps will hold phone awake...
open gapps is also good choice (tested) and deleting nfc app
TWRP 2.8.7.0 + Wild kernel + Blisspop here running great! cheers :good:

I have E988 model and have not problem with Deepsleep. I wrote about my friend. He has E980 and his phone did not Deepsleep on all custom ROMs. Suspend_backoff wakelock did not allow Deepsleep.
Madmacks modem only for E980 models not for E988. He did not use Gapps and NFC deletted.
But his E980 Deepsleep on Stock based ROMs.
Thanks for link. I will show this thread to my friend.

One thing to mention. It is crucial to start on stock jelly bean. This is where Madmacks modem is from.
I don't know why but there's a problem with kit kat's modem that will prevent deepsleeping in custom roms.
An observation, Madmacks modem is e980 specific or AT&T specific.
For any other model, for flashing a modem you first need to learn how to extract it, then zip it.
There's a sticky thread by @aryan1312 under android development, where he teaches how to do this.
