I have Korean LGOG F240K and all these awesome ROMs are coming out for E980 model.
I compared the models and except for LTE bands everything is same.
A developer told me that ROMs like CM don't flash modem/baseband
So my question is shouldn't the ROMs work as hardware is same and baseband is preserved???
Can someone enlighten me?
I just made a thread about E980 roms and F240
For me call and data works great so I guess it preserved the baseband
The only thing doesn't work for me Is ext sdcard
Great! I'm going to try this. I dont like the stock rom

Hi! I am the proud owner of an E973 and i would like to know if the E975 and E970 roms are cross compatible? I've seen that rootbox developpement is stopped in the E973 forums, but the op says for further developpement to check a link, and this link is on the e970 forums. Do i need a special kernel? Or is it safe to just flash away any Exxx series Optimus G roms?
E971 and E973 are identical except for modem. Flash ROM for either to your phone, them flash the modem for your phone, and away you go.
E970 is almost identical. You can usually flash their ROM, then a kernel for your phone, them the modern for your phone. Sometimes it doesn't work, though. Usually it does.

I have the lg optimus g for sprint, it has the stock rom, 4.1.2. I have rooted it recently and got an online site to remote flash it to pageplus. Everything is working fine.
I would like to install a 4.3 rom on this phone. Would the rom installation mess up the pageplus flash?
Don't know..this ain't sprint section. What part of the main title Lg Optimus G(International) made you post here?. Not to mention, there is a sticky thread above, mentioning this is not AT&T/SPRINT. Still you managed to ignore all of these and posted anyway. Nice.

Hi Guys.
Am just wondering has anyone gotten the LG Optimus G Pro with a working Sim ToolKit/ STK.APK.
I have the F240L model running LG G2V5 custom, it and the original firmware that came with phone(V10V) dont have a working STK.
It doesnt even show up on the apps menu, but i can see its running through the SETTINGS-->APPS-->ALL RUNNING APPS.
If you do have a working one. What model are you using and are you on official or custom firmware.
I need this as in my country the operators use this t offer special features.
Thanks.
Same thing happen to my phone. Stk.apk will not work outside korea unless modefied it.
My Sim tool kit works perfectly ...using at&t e980 outside of US , unlocked, stock 4.1.2 10k rom

just recently, I bought a Korean Optimus G for a sweet price. now I'm thinking of rooting it and installing a custom rom.
problem is, it's an F180K but was localized by conversion to E975. How do i go about doing this, do I flashback to F180K (if that's possible) or can i continue and flash E975 ROMs on this converted-F180K?
also, I'm currently using an LTE sim but not getting any LTE, could the conversion be the cause? how do I fix it?
thanks in advance for the help! on a side note, which (in your opinion) is the smoothest and fastest rom that doesn't eat up too much space (is that possible) and gives the best battery life. preference of qualities are in that order.
I also own an F180K bought from Korea. What i can tell you is that this model has only LTE 900 and LTE 1800 bands. So even if you can and will convert back its possible not to fix your LTE issue.
Regarding the roms ( this is my opinion only ) i couldn't find any rom to beat the stock. I tried many of them about 5-6 months ago. Now might be different. So my opinion is that Stock rom with root access and greenify beats everything.
oh. so that's why i'm not getting any LTE. My carrier's LTE network runs on 2100. sucks -.-
anyway, know how I can convert back to stock F180K? Can I use E975 ROMs for my F180K or only the ones tailor made for the F180K?
thanks for the reply btw, I was beginning to lose hope. anyway, what version is stock on? I'd like 4.4 KitKat but if it's still on 4.3 then I'll still have to think about it.
I also heard stock F180K has a lot of korean stuff despite changing language to english, this true?

thank you, that's very informative. I'm currently on 4.1.2 although this isn't the korean version, should I go for the original F180K firmware? my software version is e97510d-ESA-XX.
I also read there are some korean stuff on the dialer in the stock firmware of the F180K, how do you get rid of those?
last question, what's in the later versions (4.2/4.3/4.4) that's not in 4.1?

If you want to get rid of Korean-specific features and elements in the interface (like labels on the dialer), the Korean stock ROM is not for you. The E975 ROM that you have right now should be good, but I am not sure if I understand exactly what you mean by "localized"... You can definitely use E975 ROMs on F180 (I do), but it might be a bit messy, depending on your luck. There is a lot of info here on XDA regarding F180 -> E975 conversion and related issues -- read it to understand what you are doing.

The last official stock version is 4.1.2, like I said before. If you want newer versions, you need custom ROMs. Note that there is an expected upgrade to 4.4.x which should come fairly soon, but hey, it's LG, so no solid ETAs. It will come when it comes...

well yeah, last thing since I don't think this has been answered yet, can I flash to other E975 roms from my current setup? (F180K converted to E975) or do I have to use roms made specifically for F180K devices?
