Stock home launcher redraw, help needed ! - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi everybody !
My home on my ION don't stop to redraw when I launch the browser or some games like Subway Surfers, Metal Slug...
I want to know if there is a possibility to stop this problem because it's a little annoying for daily use.
My phone is unrooted and unmodified. Everything stock !
Thank you for your help !
PS : Search is out of service for me so, I'm sorry if this subject was already answered.

It isn't a problem, it is the OS freeing up resources as they are needed, in a game you don't need a launcher so what's the point having it using up RAM.

Supercharge ur Ion and the redraws are gone.

New Defy user, some questions

I just got my Defy today and started reading up on some stuff. I got a couple questions that hopefully someone will be kind enough to answer.
Firstly, I wonder if my back cover is loose, cause it seems that I can still push down the bottom part a little so I wonder if anyone else has this problem? Its not really noticeable but it really bugs me though I'm thinking to get a case anyway.
Okay, well I rooted the Defy using z4root and it worked perfect
I have a question about the task manager though, it shows a a lot of apps running but its says CPU 0% , RAM xx.xMB. Should I manually end task all of these apps or just leave it?
Last question for now is about my custom wallpaper not being centered when im on the lockscreen. I know it's nothing but little things like this bothers me xD. Is there a way to fix this? I disabled wallpaper scrolling so on my homescreen the wallpaper is centered but not when im on the lockscreen.
I'm still reading around about rooting, editing themes, and such..it would be cool to change some colors around. So far this phone is pretty awesome for my first smartphone/android.
Great forum btw! Thanks all
i can push my back cover a bit, but I think it's nit a problem
I was using app killer on my stock rom, but now i'm not.still cannot decide. Honestly, it'a good thing, and i'd instal it. I cannot comment on a wallpaper, I'm using the scrollable one. You can try a program widgetlocker, it allow more locksvreen tuning. BTW, you can cut your wallp, to the phone's resolution.that'd solve your problem
A taskkiller for defy is not necessary cauz u have no energy consumption if apps are loaded into ram - and there is quite a lot of ram available, while manually starting an app consumes energy every time. Only for data using apps like skype i use a task killer.

thanks guys.
everything is working great. Good phone

[Q] Few questions.

Hi,
Can anybody here clear a couple of things please, i got a play but whenever i play games and run applications then exit them, the icons in the home screens seems to refresh,i.e they look like blanks icons then show up in a second or two.
Also, can i have some suggestions of how to free up space/memory and keep the performance better.
the homescreen refreshing is just android. its just where its changing what is showing its normal. can be stopped by modding but has no harm.
root removal is better handed by others
but unistall whatsapp and everything you can from the built in application manager and install everything to the sd card
also a thanks if this post helps is always welcome
try script supercharger v6, search in xperia arc thread...
use mega ram v 2, it will usefull for you...
also use OC if you need better performance...
regards,

[Q] Stiff "Recent App" list

Hello there, Xperia S users.
I think lot of you noticed that when you try to swipe app away from the Recen Apps list, it's not smooth. In fact, it lags beyound imagination.
But, on CM9(we don't take CM10 in consideration, since it's Jellybean), it's smooth and nice - we move our finger, the app thumbnail moves smoothly. Maybe optimization by FXP team? Well, I thought so, until I tried to flash ICS on my old Xperia Ray...aaaaaand! Ah F! It swipes these apps smoothly and nice.
And with Small Apps mod swipe list also works fine, but Small Apps messes up text, so I don't use it.
So, I can assume that Sony somehow messed up the recent app list, and it lags. With newest firmware (.55) it lags less, but still noticeably.
And I just want to know - has anybody managed to solve this issue(no, ignoring it isn't a good solution)? If yes, then please, tell me the solution.
And if it will work, I will even give you some bucks, because I LOVE Sony firmware, but this Recent App list just drives me insane.
I tried all the kernels - XSX, Sspeed, Advance Stock, Stock.
Now I'm on Advance Stock, with firmware .55. No Overclock or Underclock.

Any ROM supporting basic functions?

Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a ROM for my Arc S supporting basic apps and functions which phones are designed for. I mean apps like Contacts, Phone, Messaging, Camera, possibly stock Net Browser.
Currently I'm using Ultimate HD ROM 4.0 with normal RAM engine (other option during setup was gaming engine) and locked bootloader. Unfortunately, my phone suffers from huge lag during opening Messaging or Contacts. Also I often get FC when new SMS arrives or Xperia restarts without reason. Supposingly, there is a bit of my fault in that, cause my soft is a little messy and phone worked usually with "heavy" apps (games, YT, movies, etc.).
In Ultimate HD ROM, there is a solution for Xperia Home Screen which keep this program working in background and it's not redrawing desktop after, for egzample, sufing the Net. I wonder if the same mechanism can be applied for apps mentioned above? Do you know any ROM/mod that improves work of this programs? Or should I reinstall Ultimate HD with gaming RAM engine?
Thanks for replies.
For basic apps and functions go back to Gingerbread.
Try Gin2Jelly and you are a happy phone user.
All ROMs should support basic functions like phone calls and messaging. You should be fine sticking with stock ROM.

I agree with the above posts, and GB is the most suitable for what you say.
If you want to keep your current ROM, you can use the V6SuperCharger script to lock any application into memory like the launcher
Thx
Thanks for all replies. I reinstalled Ultimate HD and formated SD card. Now, it's really smooth and i feel satisfied with using apps. Maybe i will try V6SuperCharger script.

[Q] loving KitKat butt.. less than 100mb ram left..

Hey all!
Recently rooted and put KK on my gtn7100.
All was awesomely sweet and buttery smooth for like a few days..
That's when ExGo launcher sstarted crashing.
Now it's every hour almost.. Can't multitask at all. Constantly clearing my ram.
On jelly bean I would have 750-900mb ram free with Go launcher runnin aswel as 9gag and facebook..
Now without anything running I have at the absolute most 100 mb free.. Usually 70 mb.
I can't open basically anything without go launcher crashing / restarting.
Been thru applications and stopped everything that wasn't needed running. (just the OS stuff and Go launcher (BTW go only takes 40mb)
I'm sitting here so frustrated...
What can I do XDA??
All help appreciated!
You haven't even mentioned which rom/kernel you have installed. Common sense would dictate that if you request help you provide relevant information.

Click to collapse
Helo , like TheATHEiST says, is difficult to help you without more information, but you can use Clean Master from Google Play to see if you have many memory used and what applications use it.
Have you try to uninstall Go Launcher and use you phone some days without this application for see if it works better ?
Excuse me for my english
Wooopps howd I forget that! Sorryy guys
