[Q] CM9.1 resources - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Hi I was doing a search for additional mods for CM9.1 however couldn't find any. i absolutely love this Rom it has run smoothest and solid for me, but new kernels and mods seem to be for exclusively either stock based ics or jb bases Roms. My question is whether there is an index of or mods/kernels for CM9.1 on Xperia or xda forums?
Thanks

[Q] CM9 vs CM10?

Which is better, CM9 or CM10?
With all the hard work of the FXP team, it's extremely difficult to choose between CyanogenMod 9 and CyanogenMod 10
I was wondering, if through the power of the XDA forums, people would be so kind as to help me out a bit, maybe offer an opinion, or tell me the benefits of each.
Obviously I've read through both threads and found problems and errors, but due to the constant updates, I never know if these errors still exist or not
Hopefully someone can help me decide between CM9 and CM10 or advise me to stick to my Sony stock based rom at the moment
Thanks!
- Jack
There are total three versions released by FXP.
1. CM7 - Ginger bread
2, CM9 - Ice Cream Sandwich
3. CM10 - Jellybean
Right now CM9 is in beta and CM10 is in alpha. Where CM7 is in stable mode means everything is working and most of the problems got solved.
Regarding CM9, its laggy compare to CM10 - my personal experience. But CM9 it is in beta, where it fits for daily use.
Regarding CM10, this ROM is in alpha, with fixes (posted in CM10 thread) it is also suit for daily use.
What I want to say is stay with GB, flash CM10 once the rom moved to beta version or flash CM7 for fast and smooth ROM. :highfive:

Running Jelly Bean - FXP138/CM10
One thing I like about ICS is the action bar though
Are there any app incompatibilities like apps that only work with ICS+ or do they all work with GB?

Cm10 is better

Why would you say that is?
CM9 cuz its more stable than CM10.
I use CM 9.1 because it supports flash... CM10 is a lot more fluid than CM9, but lack of flash support is a huge deal for me.
I chose to try out CM10 and I don't think I'm going back
If you install cm10, there is a simple way to get flash working just as it does on Ics, tested it myself with flash and dolphin browser if you're interested I can link you to the apk

sorry but...Neither One Nor the Other .in My opinion!
What I like most about JB/CM10 is the options in the notification bar, like quick reply, call (for texts), and call back or message (for calls) not to mention the incredible battery life i get when my phone is in standby (i think it averages 0.5%/h, which is much lower than all the other roms I tried, for GB and ICS). But I'm using an xperia pro (since we share a forum) so it might not be the same... but one thing i don't like about CM10 is the camera (have they fixed that in fxp138?) and the random crashes every now and then. But it's not that bad.
If you want tasted ICS and GB look, just try flash Jelly Sandwich by Maxxio 1998. Just stable... Use until CM10 get the beta version...

Jelly Sandwich and Xperia ICS & JB Remix is builded on stock ICS. Currently Im using Xperia ICS & JB Remix and it's great! A lot of free ram, zero lags and no bloatware apps like : Timescape and FB.

4.2.1 Inverted ROMs??

I read and basically checked almost all the available ROMs with 4.2.1 base. So far I can only find 2, rasbeanjelly and overdrive.
Can anyone else offer any other inverted ROM options or experience with the above ROMs.
Eclipse 3.1 is another.

I would recommend CM10 for user xperience, smoothness but mostly for battery life whch is just awful in stock rom.

How is PA Rom and PAC rom when it comes to smoothness, do they come anywhere near CM?
They're both super smooth. I always use PAC

XTX I would recommend if you are not using the SD-card
I will recommend you (in order)
CM10
NOVA
CM9
Stock ICS
I try other (custom ics) like ka etc...
I found they're too unstable, random reboot, performance issue...

AW: what rom would you recommend?
PAC is one of the best Roms available for the Xperia S in my opinion.
It is super smooth, easily costumizable and stable.
In the new Version it even contains some Sony Features like Walkman and launcher.

Wait for JellyBean
Try paranoid android 2.57. Its stable, fast and the best Rom I have ever had! I use it for daily use and its very much stable!

I definitely recommend hei125 Nova rom with the nova kernel. Very stable, constantly updated and responds to all the complaints and fix them.

[Q] Is CM10 based on JellyBean?
Sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm pretty new to this as well. I'm currently running XTX8. I tried XTX9 but it was very slow and laggy so I reverted back to XTX8. I wanted to try CM9.1 but couldn't get it installed, so just did a restore as it was late at night. It's just I didn't consider CM10 as I thought it was based on JB, and I wanted something that's stable and not still being 'developed' as such.

[Q] AOSP - Stock Android look Rom?

Hi everyone, i was wondering which Sony-based ROM has the best AOSP / Stock Android Nexus look and feel, besides Cyanogen-based Roms (CM, AOKP, etc). I am using my phone's camera everyday so I really need stock-based Rom so I can use Cyber-Shot Mod application.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
Why dont you just take a look in the dev thread?

Only CM or AOKP can give you the closest experience to AOSP. No other ROM comes close enough. The only way that you can get a pure AOSP experience is to hope that Google and Sony partner together to produce another Nexus from the Xperia line.

Shame ics reboot ramdons are awful in .587 on mini pro
DooMLoRD's kernels are no longer available indeed, however there are newer ones (such as LuPuS, KTG, Vengeance), that can be used.
Lupus and the above mentioned seem really buggy on my arc s only one stable is arcknights , I really want have look at the code , ill have to ask him
