Lost wifi calling after attempted Odin root

I am risking getting flamed but I find the search rather difficult on my gs2, I attempted to duo the Odin root (haven't completed due to having to do a hard reset) and I had noticed that wifi calling is gone is there any way to get that back? I have also noticed that keis no longer talks to my device it says I need to connect it no mater if I am in debug mode or in normal mode any ideas?
Perpetually stumped....

Odin wont root your phone. It installs clockwork mod recovery OR can be used to return your phone to stock configuration.
If you did something to root your phone with Odin, which it wont do, its no wonder you are experiencing problems.

could you have possibly used ODIN to flash a pre rooted 2.3.5 rom?
Are you saying that if you go to settings/Wireless and network you don't see WiFi calling there? it might be there, but just disabled.

Yeah this is wierd, ODIN doesnt even touch the ROM on your phone. All it does is flasha new recovery image.(if you followed the ROOT guide in the dev section). If you did anything with superuser in ODIN then you might have bigger problems than wifi calling...
Actually JessieJames11191981 hit the nail on the head it took me back to 2.3.5 how do I get back to 2.3 6 when over the air says there is no update available and it won't connect to Samsung keis

Flash a 2.3.6 rom through clockwork mod recovery.

Stupid question........how do I do that and keep the Tmobile stock (yes I do like it boat ware and all until I can figure out how to root)
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
use this thread to root your phone and install a custom recovery
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332103&highlight=super+one+click+root
then just flash a custom or stock 2.3.6 rom and bam wifi calling. If you want to keep some bloat but have an easy way to remove some download and follow the insructions of this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1322642 It has a program called bloater where you can pick what bloat programs you want to keep and which to remove

That depends if you have custom recovery installed or not. If you do there is an option to make a nandroid backup under backups and storage.

You are stock. Are you rooted? Do you know how to root?
Edit: I read in other thread that you think you are rooted. Can you download root checker from play store and verify?

Now you find one of the "rogue" kernels. Look for el29 rogue kernel. After getting that kernel you need to use odin. That kernel is a zip. So we need a tar version of the el26 kernel. That one is by chris41g. You load up the drivers for this phone(setting up samsung kies is easiest.). Then you download odin 1.85. Install and open it. In the pda slot put the el26 kernel. Do not touch anything else. Click start. By the way should have said this earlier. Once odin is installed turn your phone off. Push and hold volume down and powerbutton simultaneously then keep holding until you see a warning in green.push volume up. Now you are in download mode. Connect your phone via usb. You should see the first box in odin pop up with a number. If not do not proceed. It does not matter what numbers are in the box as long as there is a number. Now put the el26.tar into ghe pda slot. Then press start. Once done, push and hold volume up until you get to recovery then let go. Now use the volumes to scroll to backup and restore. Click it then backup. This is only taking a system image. If you want the contents of your as card backed up you need to transfer those files to your computer.

Option 1: type ##8778# and connect to PC to flash PRL with QPST
Option 2:
WARNING: FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL WIPE EVERYTHING FROM YOUR EPIC (but should fix it)
-Pull the phone's battery and put it back in.
-slide out the keyboard and hold 1 while holding the power button
-it should now be in download mode.
Hook it up to ODIN and flash a stock rom/tar. That will have a PRL included in it (not the most current) and will flash it.
Tried that but the phone has no prl and the radio is off and qpst shows no phone on the com port it is a deactivated phone with a bad esn so I was going to get it ready for a cricket flash but the phone has been restored back to stock and wiped clean like never been activated so EVERYTHING is gone except for the min and meid. No prl no, service radio off mobile data disconnected, and the msl has been changed to 000000. I have done Odin to stock fc09 and tried everything but got in touch with sprint. If cricket actives it should it turn on the service radio so I can get a prl back on phone or is the phone screwed.

Has it ever worked while on cricket? If you have a cricket prl on the phone, and the phone is registered with cricket, then just give them a call and tell them your having problems activating your phone. They should be able to program it from there end.
I have called them but they said they don't know what to do for me and I did not put a cricket pro on there because for some reason I can't enter prl mode

Are you on a stock or custom rom? If you ruu to stock you can change the prl thru epst (##778#). Once you find and get a cricket prl on there it connects you to cricket towers/service, which in turn allows cricket to see the phone and program it ota.
I am on a custom Rom and thank you

Verify your current MEID on the phone with what is on the account. I've seen phones revert back to original MEID when rooting or flashing tons.

System update

I'm pretty dumb when it comes to this stuff... but my understanding is that if you don't have stock rom and stock recovery, you're pretty much stuck with what you got. Tons of custom rom out there though that have all the nifty software upgrades, just take a look around XDA.

You trying to flash a factory rom update? If so it's not going to work with custom recovery. Have to have stock recovery. Also, being that it's flashed to Boost, it may not work with stock recovery either.
message brought to you by my GalaxyS3
You mean a OTA update?

What i would suggest you do is go to the Sprint Galaxy S3 FAQ by @flastnoles11 at the top of this thread you cant miss it and look for custom recoveries FAQ and you can flash stock recovery over CWM recovery in CWM recovery if that makes sense then call the person that flashed your phone and make sure you can do system updates cause it could kick your flash trying to update it since your not on sprint.

You may want to check out THIS thread.
Read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2209418
But you can take the update and it will not remove your flash. However, it is failing right now because it is signed with special keys and the custom recovery cannot verify them.
Just read the thread I linked and follow the directions for updating.
