My Xperia S got terrible battery drain this morning during charging...
Anyone has an idea what's wrong with it?
ROM: KA21 Xperia SSpeed
Kernel: Xperia SSpeedkernel v8
It probably a battery reading error, probably won't happen again

And what if it refuses and keeps bouncing from full to empty?

Then you will flash different kernel.
Seeing your screenshot, I can see an app is keeping your phone awake all the time. You should look at that. Kinda unrelated, but...

Ok do you have a link to a different kernel for the Ion L28AT?

I am new to the custom rom thing but I am loving it because I was about to throw this phone away "Xperia S" but after playing around with roms and kernels I am back to liking my phone again. My question is related to the battery, I added the PAC rom V18 and I also added the Nova kernel V5 but my only complaint is the battery is drained very fast that it doesn't go through the day, I am an average user so I don't listen to music or watch movies. Is there a solution or a kernel that can improve the battery life.
Thanks

Follow these steps:
1. Use your battery to 0%
2. Charge it to 100%
3. Go to CWM > Advance
4. Wipe Battery Stats.
5. Fix Permissions (This may take sometimes).
6. Again use your battery to 0%
7. Again charge it to 100%
I looked for wipe battery data in the advanced tab in CWM recovery but I didn't find it

There is no "Wipe Battery Stats" in advance tab? But it must be there.

If you shutdown and it restarts, wait for it to completely boot up,and then shutdown back....if keep restarting, clear all the necessary cache from cwm recovery

Xperia ion auto restart
Hello. My Xperia Ion is not rooted or flashed with custom rom or kernel or etc. But now it always restart itself when it is not plugged in using charger or USB cable. I wonder if there is problems with battery since it has build in battery so i could not figure it out by changing to new battery. Had anybody experience this? Thanks in advance! :good::good::good::good::good:

No problem. Maybe you should do some battery cycles test. Recharged when empty a battery should last longer. Maybe that will solve your problem.
I'd like to add that I updated my LT28a (locked bootloader) with the LT28h JB update (.211) then I rooted it using the Vietnamese Root Method. Everything was going good until this morning, I took it off the charger and it rebooted itself twice while above 90% charge. It reminds me of my Captivate that had the same issue. I'm testing it to see if it will happen again.

Flashing a ROM that's not 100% made for your phone model may be risky.
hi,
My Xperia Ion has been a bit strange recently. I would leave it over night after a full charge and is would loose 10%. that's ok. But once I start using it at some point shortly after the battery would instantly jump from 90% to 70%. This also happens when I reboot the phone. It would reboot missing 20% to 30% of its charge.

I'm running stock rooted JB. I've only had the phone for about 3 weeks.
is this a known issue? haven't been able to find much info on it.
U have to do battery callibration to fix it
This should fix ur problem:thumbup:

It's not Sony's fault.
If you want to calibrate your battery safely, you have to do this. This is for all devices.
Hi guys,
I have an Xperia Acro S, and it's 1.5 years old . Yesterday i noticed that after playing some candy crush and clash of clans (to consume time), my battery has not gone down yet! Still 100%! and then after a few hours, it shut down. Charged it then in the logo of the battery( before booting, turned on because of plugging in a charger), it was red then the screen went off ( AFK) then right after it i pressed the lock button and the Battery's FULL , ye with the battery picture with green, but just a few seconds ago it was red. I don't know if it's just the battery percentage "counter" has a problem or the battery itself is not charging. Please help, Did a factory reset but it wasnt helpful. WHAT TO DO? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
