I am getting this message; "Unfortunately, the process. com. google.process.gapps. has stopped.
I am running rooted stock and downloaded an update of jet flicks when it occurred. Play store will flash on screen then shut down. I wiped cache and data and same thing.
Suggestions appreciated.

So here is how I fixed it.
Settings> Applications Manager> All> locate Download Manager (at the bottom)and enable.
No idea how it got disabled unless it was ripped by the last application I downloaded.

I'm running CM7 and all my apps are only listed as free and purchased. They all work fine and are in app drawer but im not getting update notifications because the market thinks they are not installed. I have went to settings>manage apps>market and the only option is to uninstall updates, cache and data are greyed out.
I have tried downloading them again and they will download and install then show as installed but within a few hours revert back to saying free or purchased. Anybody else have this happen or know of a fix?

Sounds like an auto restore problem...... try uninstalling all of them and then reinstall..... plus go into privacy and turn of the back up my data with Google option and see if that works

Tried that and still no luck. Gonna try wiping and reflashing.

Anybody has encountered this message when updating apps from the store?

Most stock builds have a point it wont let you go past for apps. So if you have something like only 10% free on internal, it may not let you install any more. How much storage do you have left?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
There is plenty of storage available...

Ok, then yeah, thats a problem.
Did you try again after a reboot?
If so try going into recovery and clear cache and dalvik.

Try to delete data and cache for the play store

Restored a previous backup. All is good. Very weird though. I also noticed there was another playstore service app installed in addition to the normal google playstore. Probably they have made updates

It happened to me for the first time when I tried to update to a newer version of Astro file manager. Did not happen with other apps though.
I am running stock firmware, rooted.

When I got that message, long story short, it was because I got a paid app for free and tried to use a license key app. Bottom line, pay for the app the honest way.

I got that message while updating flipboard which is a free app. Appware was causing that problem. Once uninstalled problem solved.

If you use "Lucky Patcher", you may want to go to the Troubleshooting menu option and select the "insufficient storage available" option...

I'm using the 11–7 nightly if CM10 and I've been getting lots of force closes when using the Play Store. Installed latest Gapps. Fixed permissions multiple times and cleared cache for Android Media. Help? 77
Bump for help?
Update: I'm now getting the "process.android.media has stopped" error.
Occurs when I try to download a new app.
In apo management, try cleasring cache and data for Play Store and Google services framwork. Then reboot and try again.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Tried that and kept getting an error when I try to download apps from the store.
Also, did a reinstall of the nightly and gapps again.
But to no avail, also cleared the cache for media.
Decided to do a system wipe and start from scratch, I am able to install apps now.
Will update if the problem re-emerges.
Sorry you had to resort to starting over. But I'm glad you got it working again!

It's fine, with Titanium Backup and a backup from Apex Launcher I was able to get my phone pretty much back to how I had it in less than an hour.

I'm on the liquid ROM and can someone explain to me why play store won't even open.
Just what the title says. I'm trying to install setcpu and I keep getting this error. Unknown error code during app install 24. Yes, I'm rooted. Running aeonfluxx with deviants newest kernel. I've been having this issue since I tried an aokp Rom and I have no clue what is causing this or what direction to go. Searching turned up nothing and I'd really like be able to set my cpu parameters for battery purposes and what not. Any help? I'd rather not format everything if at all possible, that's my last option.

Try going to SETTINGS, APPLICATIONS MANAGER (APP MANAGER or something like that depending on your ROM), Scroll to ALL, then find GOOGLE PLAY STORE, UNINSTALL UPDATES. Then open up the Play Store and accept. Now try getting SetCPU

Hmm.. Clear google services framework and google play then reboot?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
If you are using manual time settings, change it to auto.
had this problem a while ago, I've been running an SSH tunnel to get to Gstore (no google store access for my country), and at some point it stopped even running at all, always crashing
the usual remedy is to do the following :
go into airplane mode
go into the app manager
look for google play : force stop/clear data&cache
look for google framework : force stop/clear data&cache
delete your google account from device
restart
once reboot is done, exit airplane mode, re-add your google account and try again, this worked for me once, then was useless
the next fix I tried was almost the same, except I replaced my own ssh tunnel with a vpn service (psiphon 3 in my case) and never had any problems since then
hope this helps

Solved? If not, did you update it? Go to app manager and uninstall update.
