Market apps nor showing up as installed. - Droid Incredible Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running CM7 and all my apps are only listed as free and purchased. They all work fine and are in app drawer but im not getting update notifications because the market thinks they are not installed. I have went to settings>manage apps>market and the only option is to uninstall updates, cache and data are greyed out.
I have tried downloading them again and they will download and install then show as installed but within a few hours revert back to saying free or purchased. Anybody else have this happen or know of a fix?

Sounds like an auto restore problem...... try uninstalling all of them and then reinstall..... plus go into privacy and turn of the back up my data with Google option and see if that works

Tried that and still no luck. Gonna try wiping and reflashing.

App problems?

So I have the Dictionary.com app and the XDA app installed, for some reason on the dictionary app, when I try to search a word it force closes. On the XDA app, after logging in, I try to go somewhere like the homescreen or another forum, it force closes, forcing me to use the guest. I don't know what's causing the problem, but I went to buy another microsd card and that disappeared. I tried to clear the data on each under application manager but didn't work. Anyone have ideas as to what is causing the problem? Is it a sideloaded app or something wrong with the phone itself?

Try opening up Rom Manager and Fix Permissions, see if that fixes it.
If not what rom and kernel are you running?
I'm not rooted. Incredible 2.2

Have you tried unistalling both apps then reinstalling them?

Android Market not showing all downloaded apps in "my apps" section??

I've had this issue with the Android Market 3.1.5 (and lower) - stock 2.3.4, no root.
Usually if I get a notification that I have an app update and click on it, it takes me to the my apps section however there are only the paid apps i've bought sitting there. Not the other 90 apps that I've downloaded free.
I go and clear data and that works sometimes. And other times it doesn't. I've submitted the problem to Google but I was wondering if others see this behavior and if there are any work arounds???? It's real frustrating.
I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the Market. Rebooted phone, pulled battery. Even done a factory reset. This happens on my E4GT and my Evo4G.

If you restored a backup chances are market links were restored and you will have to wait for an update or unstall and reinstall the app

It is selected and even if I toggle them, nothing improves.

I have the same issue, I prefer the older market version (wich does show all my apps, and shows the updates better also), but it wont allow me to keep it from updating for some reason, even if I freeze market updater.
it always upgrades to 3.15 after a few times going into market
this has been happening to me since I got the phone. I rooted and then went back to stock kernel, which kept me rooted. I restored my titanium backup apps with data and I believe that may have something to do with it.
as soon as I see that I have updates I know I will have to go to applications and clear data and reopen and it will then show me all of my apps again.
I talked with Google's Market help today. They know about this and are trying to figure it out.

New market sucks!!!

I have tried renaming the marketupdate.apk in system/app but it still updates itself. I have tried freezing said apk with titanium backup and yet it still updates itself. I have a version of the market that I like but installing it everyday is getting old. How can I successfully keep it from updating on its own?? I'm on CM7.1 btw. Thanks.
Did you freeze the market or market updater?

I froze the Market Updater using Titanium Backup.
A quick search found me this

Hope this helps...
Froze that marketupdater and the damn thing still updates. I then deleted marketupdater and it still updated to the new crap market! What the hell?

I hate it. I can search for an app and then try to install it and it just sits there forever. But as soon as I install the older version and search for the same app and install it, the app downloads and installs right away. Sigh.

Yep, multiple times. I have installed the old version a few times now. I must have jacked with the wrong file or something cuz now the new version FCs when I try to download somthing and the old version closes as soon as I click the Market icon. LOL. I need to reinstall my ROM anyway. Fresh start.
It definitely decreased the visibility for my app. In that way I don't like it, but as a user, I got used to it.

Unknown error code during app install??

Just what the title says. I'm trying to install setcpu and I keep getting this error. Unknown error code during app install 24. Yes, I'm rooted. Running aeonfluxx with deviants newest kernel. I've been having this issue since I tried an aokp Rom and I have no clue what is causing this or what direction to go. Searching turned up nothing and I'd really like be able to set my cpu parameters for battery purposes and what not. Any help? I'd rather not format everything if at all possible, that's my last option.

Try going to SETTINGS, APPLICATIONS MANAGER (APP MANAGER or something like that depending on your ROM), Scroll to ALL, then find GOOGLE PLAY STORE, UNINSTALL UPDATES. Then open up the Play Store and accept. Now try getting SetCPU

settings -> applications -> manage applications (go to "all") -> google play store -> clear data/cache. go into the market, setup account and give it another try

Google now no longer does the following:

So for a little while now I've noticed Google now is no longer doing the things it use to:
1. It use to notify me how many minutes home is from my current location. It no longer does.
2. It use to notify me how many minutes an appointment was and when I should leave to be on time. It no longer does
3. Listen to/play <song title> use to play music on my device or YouTube. This no longer works.
Anybody know why these stopped working?
I'm on stock (Rogers ) ROM with all apps up to date.

Just an idea, maybe you did this but if not its worth a try. Go into settings/application manager/google and hit force stop. Now clear cache, data, and defaults. Now hit uninstall updates, and when done re-install the updates and run app. This should give you a fresh start I believe and this could allow you to set all your options over and give you the origional operation you had before. Im not a pro so I cant guarentee this but it cant hurt, its not a dangerous operation anyway. Good luck!
