There is no root for the Lumia 900 and will never be...
Lumia 900 hacking and development (specially the AT&T branded) is pretty much defunct. Everyone moved on to other models/brands/OSes...:crying:
Sorry to burst your bubble!

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Just picked up the hd7 last night and from all accounts, this thing is really snappy. I know some don`t care for it,but i love alot of the intergration this phone does.Makes everything sooo much quicker.Then...click,click,click,click..To get you to where you want to get to.Really looking forward to what Nokia and Windows can come up with.

Are people actively trying? I am no engineer or phone hacker, but I would donate any resources I had to help as would many other people I am sure. But I understand it is a large undertaking and I cant expect people to hack a device just because I want custom ROMS

I would like to know this as well, are people even trying to unlock this phone? I would donate as well. It's a nice device, all it needs is to be interop unlocked and custom roms so i can have my language on my phone :\
I asked Heathcliff74 (the developer of WP7 root tools) the same question not long ago, this was his answer:

biktor_gj and Heathcliff74 are some of the few that actually do any cracking for WP devices. Not many out there though, most of the highly knowledgeable hackers are on Android

A lot of people are having troubles with the donor files which were shared here on xda. (including myself)
I have taken the official donor files from lumia 900. I think that using these files will help a lot. It did for me anyway.
Happy cooking. :good:

do you really think they differ?

Hahaha , I didn't check the version of the files but I did have problems with the shared version I originally used. With the rip from the lumia it went smooth without any problem. (Marketplace problem)

I don't have this device but, the following threads may be helpful for what you are looking for and mention your device as well. Don't be afraid to ask for some member guidance within one of them too.

That specific area of the forum is for a different variant but, seems to be the most promising chance.

Just remember that Windows devices are not setup for Android Firmware and, if it is possible, performing this feat is not the easiest and, if you don't know what you're doing, you can easily get yourself into a situation that, potentially, cannot get out of.
Good Luck!
