Request a theme :)

If you guys have any themes you would like to see go ahead and request them and I will see what I can do.

Id like to see a black and blue teme. I kno there typical but blue is pretty damn nice. The galaxy series blue is little to light for my liking. Pretty much turn everything that's blue and green (Highlights,check marks, etc.) to like a royal blue. Also with a transparent staus bar and an EVO like status bar theme.(battery, signal, etc). Maybe kinda of a big request but its worth a shot.

Shouldn't be too hard, you want the stock evo icons? What type of launcher are you looking for?

If you can get me this theme on my epic 4g that would be awesome, I used to have it on my vibrant and honestly is all Im missing on.

This might be a little too involved, but.. I'd REALLY like to see ElegantSteel.

and then it looks like some kind of half-assed version for the Vibrant here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=779628 (no offense to vibrant themer.. just assuming?)
Either way it looks like its taken a lot of people a lot of time and still never really been done perfectly.. it'd be great to see it on the Epic, though!

Once I get a v0.1 of Hugo87's request out there I will start working on an elegant steel port. Thanks for the reference links btw.

Can you do a red, black, and white theme? I'm a huge Nebraska fan so whatever you can do as long as it isn't over the top. It doesn't have to have anything about Nebraska on it as long as the colors are right.

While in the process of making hugo87's request I came across some pretty bad news.....

So as of right now a transparent status bar is out of the question.
Hugo, any other kind of status bar you are looking for possibly a royal blue one?
BTW that screenshot is far from a finished product.

It is what it is man. I just appreciate your taking the time to do it. If it can't be transparent than black would be fine. I noticed the blue minimilism theme status bar is gray when not pulled down. than when its pulled down it like a textured gray color if that makes sense. If you could make the status bar transparent when its not pulled down and blue when it is if that makes sense. Let me knew if I confused you. Thanks!
Edit: Hope the dev doesn't mind me borrowing this but its grey where signal, battery ( what I want transparent) and like a textured gray on the bottom of the the pull down tray( would want blue if possible like your screen shot a few posts above). Hope this makes a little more sense.

Yea I don't really have an ETA but will try for sure.

Saw this (MattedBlues Theme - CM 6.0) on the EVO Theme & App, looks really nice. Can this be ported to our EPIC running either AOSP Magic ROM or Andromeda ROM?

I've been using a white theme on my sgs for a few weeks now and I don't notice a real increase in battery drain. Maybe a few %.
and a +1 for this theme, willing to donate too.

Making patch 9 pngs is easy. You just need time to do it as it is one of the most boring things to do and it takes do long to do all of them unless you have a batch tool to do then for you. The only hard part would be to do some fancy stuff with .xml.

This colour scheme made me drool a little...

Does anybody know by any chance if this theme is ever going to come to our beautifull phone SGS2? For me this is still the best theme available.

For people who want to continue my work. I half ported this theme a few months back but couldn't continue due to new projects.

wanted: help handcrafting images for woodgrain theme

ok, i thought id take a shot at this because i really dont want to do this all by myself. i'm considering undertaking a theming project that will include woodgrain graphics all over. im not talking about anything cheezy looking thrown together like a 2-year-old, im looking to go all out on this and its gonna be a nice, elegant, darkish theme such as the inside of a bmw with black leather. the wood? maybe something this shade or a little darker...

anyway post in the thread if you think you can help. i'll be assigning images to work on so dont worry about actual "theming" know-how. ps move this if you dont think its in the right place.

This could be interesting.. I've always been a fan of the dark woodgrain tho, like the dark greyish blues with some cream highlights or somethin? Maybe a dark woodgrain status bar with a creamy looking lockscreen? I dunno but I'm intrigued and will check back. Sorry I'm no themer or dev but would I'd flash it and leave feedback for ya when it was done.

I'm sure you can do a google image search of woodgrain, but came across this on XDA.

I think this would be awesome and have considered it myself but I anticipated distortion problems would arise with the stretching of .9.png images. As for images try searching google for woodgrain textures for use in 3d renderings. There are lots of free ones available for public use and its easier then creating from scratch or trying to modify a photograph. Good luck I'm curious to see your results.

Yes we will have to have horizontal grain.. I think that'll help the skewing.

That stuff can totally come last. Framework and twframework will definitely be priority.

yeah ive seen them both man i love those programs. just need some slick framework to go with them. im gonna get started on this soon.. just have to get some kinks worked out with gingerbread on my phone.. might just wait till official drops, as i really dont care to run the leak for testing, i need overclocking for emulators.

i like set 2 and they would be easier to expand into a theme.

I had already started overhauling the framework-res with style 1 but i didn't want to get too deep in to find out there would be no interest.

Since at the moment most people are using CheckRom v6 or Hyperdroid v6 i would say GB base and maybe later if you have the time port it to ICS Samsung stock since I personally think that in the end most people prefer stock rather than Cyanogen if they want something more stable and fluid...
And I also voted for the first set

I prefer v1.1 for reasons you stated, im all about the colour.
Someone(quite a few) asked me to create something simple but with colour.
TBH, i probably wont even use the theme after i've created it, im still using Phone Candy and probably still will long after Moist Couch is released thats why im asking.

Galaxy Nexus N7 Mass Effect 3 Edition

Hey everybody!
I am a HUGE Mass Effect fan. And I mean HUGE. So I decided to mod my galaxy nexus to look more Mass Effecty.
This will be a multi-step project over Easter break.
The first thing that I did is order a custom laser etched battery door (Thanks Android etch!) and it came out brilliant!

Step 2 is the touchstone induction charging mod detailed here Parts are on the way I ordered them today
Step 3 is a custom paint job. I have a question on this one. What kind of paint would work best on this phone? Model paint? Also how can I safely remove the verizon logo?
Step 4 is a custom icon theme. My buddy (soon to join the forum) is helping me with this. The theme will be CWM flashable and have custom icons as well as custom navigation buttons! Suggestions appreciated.
I'll update with more pictures as I progress in the mod.

Thats pretty cool. If I were to do something like this. I would try to find or make a vector image of Commander Shepard in an action pose to go along with the N7 image.
But still cool nonetheless.

I'm Commander Shephard and this is my favorite battery door in the Citadel.
Big fan here as well. Played all 3 with my Paragon Infiltrator Shephard. I won't go into details of the ending though lol.

Bit of a setback. The inductive charging modification doesn't quite work with the custom battery door so tomorrow I will order a modified design on an extended door. Thinking of Normandy SR2 right above the n7. That or "Fight for the lost".
