Tegra temps - HTC One X

Just wanting to know what's the highest temp you've got on your phones cpu.

I've gotten 64 degrees celcius a few days while doing nothing except web browsing,. Only happens to me on stock kernels, and during extremely hot days.

I have achieved 99 Celcius due to hot weather, and recording HD video right after playing Dead Trigger.

Wow I got 70℃ web browsing and 84℃ gaming one time.
Apparently HTC said it's normal for the phone to reach 55℃ and over.

Its like my Alienware M18X, I learnt to appreciate the built in hand warmer in the Winter.

CPU will start to throttle back at 97 degrees c.
CPU will also throttle back when battery hits 50degrees

Even though the cpu throttles at 97℃ I doubt it could reach that unless anybody has a picture.

What is your normal temperature reading when you guys are using your phone? I know that its suppost to get hot because of the snapdragon, but is it normal to overheat after a few minutes of use.

It varies. Heat index, on or off the charger, etc. I'm at 32 right now but if I am plugged into the HTC charger it gets hot hitting 41.
CPU extensive apps will heat it up as well.

I've seen mine hit 52! Charging in my car with windows up on a hot day. Felt like an idiot. Lol.

Yeah, don't worry about it. Sense doesn't like it going above 45° but it often does, especially when playing games.
If you are worried about the temperature and your device is rooted you can try using my application CoreControl to disable some of the processors cores. This can help reduce the temperature quite dramatically http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652136
Cheers havent rooted it yet still learning linux lol plus waiting for s off (think that's right) so HTC don't now I've unlocked it

When I use navigation on out of town trips, mine feels very hot behind camera which concerned me about overclocking..I think underclocking will be the ticket to cooler temps and increased battery life..

It depends on ambient environment temperature.
I usually idle at about 30c battery
But its been cold recently and idle has been around 19c
Shows how much difference the local weather can play

Note 2 idle temperature 90 degrees Fahrenheit?

I just got a replacement phone from t mobile and it seems to have a heating issue. My other note didn't get this warm while idleing. This screenshot shows Idle temperature of my note 2. No apps running in the background, can you guys report your idle temp, so I can get a significant temperature average.

I'm not sure what constitutes normal but it seems my phone tends to idle 10 or so degrees cooler than that.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid . But I do know it definitely runs hotter than my other device. and it is very annoying to have a device this hot while hardly doing anything on it. I wouldn't consider it overheating by any means but it is still definitely notably
Hotter than it should be. so I'm just going to send it back to T Mobile and request a new one.

Man that's perfectly within specs. Start worrying when is 90 degrees CELCIUS 90 degrees f is less than body temperature. You are worrying about nothing. The processor doesn't even start getting problems until like 75c and above,,... What do you expect your phones operating temperature to be 50 degrees f! Walk around with and Ice pack in your pocket. Plus when the device gets hot enough it shuts down anyways. You cant possibly burn that phone without putting a flame to it.
See that temperature normal.
Is this s troll post, be honest.

This might help you to find an app.

My note ll was getting really hot on idle when temperature was around 80f here in Chicago. I have no idea why but now seems to be normal.

Cpu Temp

Hey all, any idea how hot it is safe for the cpu to run? Using trickster mod to read the cpu temp after a few hours my cpu can reach close to 70 degrees Celsius and the screen feels hot. That seems a little insane. I thought it was aosp rooms causing this but after switching to i747z I can confirm that is not the cause of the heat. What do your cpus run at? Any ideas?

Mine usually stays under 100°F.
I wish mine stayed that cool! I'm consistently around 120 farenheit with the screen on

The battery temp or the cpu temp?
Mine tends to get hot too, sometimes almost too hot to touch.
But never over 70F.
Usually between 20F and 60F, it tends to stay around 50+ during activity.
Im not really comfortable with how hot this thing gets sometimes. I'd be downright alarmed if my cpu temp was over 100F.
Oops, that's battery temp
CPU temp seems to stay around 40C
My bad!

Okay guys this thread gave me the answer i was looking for

Turns out at 70 samsung starts throttling the kernel to cool it down so anything up to 70 celsius is totally normal
