I like to know what is the highest temperature of your HTC one X battery.
My highest temperature was 41degree. And now I am going to do some test which make the HOX to get mire heat and I will report it back.
And btw share yours here

48.3 was on charge in a hot class room and playing a saga emulator, sonic ftw
normally doesn't go about 43
Now my HOX reaches 47degree after playing dark meadows for one hour.

The highest temp my battery has hit has been 55 Deg C. It does it consistently when playing the Tegra 3 app glowball. Give it a whirl and watch your temp rocket!
57 on dark meadow the pact
63.8 °C on NVIDIA Glowball Demo
More info @ HTC One X overheat up to 63.8 °C

After one hour?! Mine reaches 50+ in 10mins!
my reach 52 on celsius after 20 min with GPS + 3G + Navigation program + on charge.
When sun going from clouds, temp raised to 56 on celsius.
After that im scare for my phone and appearing yellow spots on screen and turn it off
Where can I check this on the phone?
51°C .. it is highest when charging and playing games..
I was playing games in the night outside around 15°C and the temperature was incredibly low - around 22°C .. usually in flat I have around 37°C

Now my HOX reaches 50 plus degree. Now I am worrying that whether I am having a faulty one.

Here is a file from the kernel which looks like CPU temp and what speeds during the temps
-- CPU EDP table --
20C: 1450000 1350000 1350000 1350000
45C: 1500000 1400000 1400000 1400000
60C: 1500000 1400000 1400000 1400000
65C: 1500000 1400000 1400000 1400000
75C: 1300000 1200000 1200000 1200000
85C: 1300000 1200000 1200000 1200000
As you can see the CPU doesn't slow till 75 c if I am correct and the battery will be fine at 60 so nothing to worry about

60 Celsius, when using as a gps on a very hot day, the phone wont charge and give an error about that he cannot charge, also the leds quick blinks green and amber
I had done another test with my HOX. As most of the HOX get over heat at playing glowball above 50 degree but mine get 46.7 degree after play time of 20 min with charger on.
Btw how come HOX survive such heats? Won't the device get damage in few months ?

Will be fine, say a CPU is rated for 60c as its tjmax then you could run the CPU at 60 for at least 2 years with no problem.

Yeah, don't worry about it. Sense doesn't like it going above 45° but it often does, especially when playing games.
If you are worried about the temperature and your device is rooted you can try using my application CoreControl to disable some of the processors cores. This can help reduce the temperature quite dramatically http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1652136
Cheers havent rooted it yet still learning linux lol plus waiting for s off (think that's right) so HTC don't now I've unlocked it

When I use navigation on out of town trips, mine feels very hot behind camera which concerned me about overclocking..I think underclocking will be the ticket to cooler temps and increased battery life..

Hi I'm new to the x. How long are peoples phones lasting I got to charge least twice a day..bit of a joke lol
Any tips for the x
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
I have my X for 2 months now and on a stock rom i was charging it once per day, sometimes once per 2 days (that depended on how much i was ''playing'' with it).But when i was charging it I've tried to charge it for at least 8-9 hours.I always left it to charge through night and i had a phone for a whole day long. When you bought your X did you charge it for about 12 hours 2-3 times ? They told me at the shop where i bought it that i should do it-otherwise it wouldn't last for half of a day...Maybe that's the thing you didn't do ? Cheers
Don't know mate I traded my nexus for the x. Wouldn't know that kind of thing. I do charge her fully though. I know my nexus only needed one. Im running the x on 2 cores. WiFi not on when locked etc. Turned auto sync off. I dimmed the brightness a bit but like the one x screen so dont want to lower it to much. Might have to start turning it off of something when I don't need it

You aren't just playing with it a bit to much, since you got it recently? Otherwise, try installing ARHD Rom and Faux or Franco kernel.
Sent from my HOX running CMX by Tbalden.
rom
maybe ARHD can help
after installing this , it really increase the battery life
Not overly playing be honest.the shell and hardwares different but ROMs dont vary to much. I'll try arhd again maybe.
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Try with a custom kernel also!

Try ARHD. I have it myself and the battery lives longer on my X than before
I always get about one day out of it (with tbalden's CM10 rom).
Try to run BetterBatteryStats to get a grip on what is consuming power! (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asksven.betterbatterystats)

On ARHD rom 7.22 with stock kernel, i can get about 4h screen on time with about 24-36 stanby time surfing, reading, twitter/fb and some navigation. Screen brightness is incredibly important, values are for brightness 20-30%.

battery sucks
ARHD rom 8.00 with stock kernel and Sense 4.1 looks like that there is better battery life.
I might try arhd.
On the off chance it would work I used a battery calibrator app (yes it doesn't always work)
It has made a difference though. I also discovered that even though the green led came on and the battery icon showed full it was actually only 91% charged. Thanks to the app I even noticed..

Yup, that's default for most ROMs. 90-100% battery results in a green light

Have HOX for one day, at first charge 26h on battery, 15% left and still running with wifi on, recent calls, sms, internet, camera. Played dead trigger about 15mins. Played with phone, set interface and all settings for personal usage, wached couple of youtube videos, played couple of songs via speaker, run 4 benchmarks (antutu ate 2%, quadrant 0%), surfed net, downloaded apps and so on..
Why the hell are u whining about the battery life. With that kind of a screen battery is great. Still did not pushed core fire to system/app. With little of optimization battery would last 2 days with medium usage. I mean what do you want?
Best experience for now, no complains at all. Had Galaxy S3, and it sucks compare to this. Looks ugly, feels ugly, Touchwiz feels ugly, why the f.uck u need SD if u have 32gb of free space + cloud .. i mean come on .. its a phone (if it had 128gb of memory and no SD slot there would be the same issue). Removable battery, i bet 1% of people have 2 or more batteries and those who need such a thing, are not buying phone quad core with 5" screen. What else? Screen got scratches, i dropped and it crashed .... Really?
There are bugs for some % of products, thats why there are warranty for god sake. On my personal experience i know only one perfect phone with absolutely no complains - Nokia 3310.
My advise, HOX! Go for it and do not listen for 95% of bull**** posted on the internet.
Its not whining its a statement mate.its fine now. There's no issue with finding out how people resolve it etc. I like my x. You never had a phone you were unsure of at first?
And yep the 3310 was bad ass I had three of them. No complaints either with that phone. Least we didnt spend so much time messing about it.

Havnt had the One X for that long but Iv realized that having a No-Sense Rom installed you can increase the battery life. I went from 2 times a day to just once a day. Of course Screen Brightness does play an important role as well.
I recently have the problem, that my phone tends to overheat easily.
It happened three times over the last month which is not too often, but considering I have never had any issues before, it makes me a bit concerned.
This morning I woke up and the phone was only charged 54% and it was very hot. Battery widget said it's been 58 degrees centigrade. I unplugged the charger, waited for 10 minutes and then I charged it again.
The other two times before it was pretty much the same, but I guess the second time it was my own fault as the phone was plugged in and under a duvet.
Is it possible, that my charger is broken or the USB cable doesn't work with the One X?
I am currently using the cable of my Nexus 7 (with the HTC One X charger) as I am in Germany right now, and I forgot my One X cable in the UK.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Usually when you charge its gonna overheat ...if you keep the back cover ...also if you are charging the phone and using it...it will get hot like hell
Of course it does overheat a bit when it's charging, but it even stops charging because of the heat (hence the 54% after approximately 7 hours).
I have not been using it, as it was charging over night when I was asleep.
My HOX overheat on the side of back camera (close the sim slot) when recharge or when I run a 3D game, it usually don't show any temp problem during daily usage
Overheating is when the notification led.flashes green and red.
Getting warmer is not overheating.
Mine is only Overheating if im playing 3D Games even if not charging. I'm on Viper Rom with Faux Kernel
Mine doesn't overheat at all. The broken one did. This one no. Mine doesn't even heat up.

I guess you have an appli which is working anormally, crunching.
Try to check your applis and empty their cache.
It can be your mail for example. I had this problem, I deleted my email account and re-installed it and there were no anormal CPU usage (& data consumption) anymore.

Mine was doing the same thing, turns out a dodgy widget was to blame.
I think itll heat up to 45 to 50 while charging considering what type of task your doing like games call etc.
