.pit file for N7105/N7105T - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone have a .pit file for N7105T?
I need to repartition my Note II. See my earlier thread here;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2079986

PIT Magic?
To add more detail to this request, I've found the below thread which assists with the creation of a .pit file from scratch.
PIT Magic
If no one has a spare .pit file kicking around (which, judging from the response and lack of development on the N7105 variant of the Note II, this is expected). If anyone who has a working Note II N7105 variant or better yet the N7105T though I expect the partition set-up to be identical between all the Note II devices and would be willing to help me get a PIT file from their Note II. Please get in touch.
If you would like to assist, using Heimdall has a much easier way of extracting the PIT formatting of your device through ADB, Heimdall is my first recommendation.
If this doesn't work in fixing my device (see link in the first post), I'll be intentionally bricking my phone or claiming a new one on warranty. And if I retain my old device I'll be happy to donate it to any would-be developer who wants to play around with it.
Cheers.

I have a .pit for 16G N7105,but I didn't try this work or not,You can try...

Thank you!
Attempting to use the file now, ODIN gets stuck at Get PIT for mapping... and doesn't progress. Two other threads have recomended running this on a Windows XP machine and uninstalling Kies. If Uninstalling Kies doesn't work I'll try this again at work tomorrow using my Virtual Machine.
I'll update you as I go.

Hey, i got the same problem with the pit file, did deleating kies work or did you need an virtual machine with xp to get it running ?

Hey Das,
The phone got replaced by Telstra in the end. It was completely FUBAR and couldn't be fixed. If you can't reflash the firmware using Samsung Kies then the phone maybe to far gone and essentially hard-bricked. Use the function where Kies asks you the model name and serial number, no other option works when you've custom kernals/binaries etc).

QPST - Unbricking Hard Bricked S3

Folks, I believe I am close to unbricking my S3.
I was able to have it in download mode and the QPST tool allows me to upload .mbn files into it.
I got the .mbn files from TMobile stock image.
Problem is, I am using version 2.7b378, which does not have M8960 in the list of supported devices, so any image I try to load I am getting "Could Not Open Flash Programming File".
I believe if I have the latest version of QSPT tool I could unbrick my device.
Can you please comment on my experience and eventually give me pointers to the latest QPST tool?
Thank you in advance.

Hardbrick means that you can't get into download mode. Soft bricked is what it is, and .mbn? what type files are those? I used .tar and and used odin to flash stock rom back to my softbricked phone months ago. Worked like a champ, its the only method I know of. If I happen to see someone else talking about .mbn files, I will let you know.
If you are in download mode, does Odin recognize it? If so, go to stock.
Hi, answering you both: download mode I am referring to is the one using QPST tool. I will post some screen shots later. Point is: QPSTt is a qualcomm tool that allows lower level maintenance. .mbn are the files to reflash the device.
I am not referring to Odin/ android download mode, but qualcomm hw reflash download.
More specifically, .mbn files are the ones installed to your other partitions. If you extract the otas or fw, you will see these:
aboot.mbn - appsboot
rpm.mbn - not sure?
sbl2/3.mbn - secondary bootloaders
tz.mbn - (ARM?) trusted zone
These are why some of us are always saying that when you update, if you only do so by flashing a custom rom you will miss out on some of the updates to other partitions. Only using Odin or Kies will update these. (I dont think even Mobile Odin does them all)
Hope that makes sense.

For QPST you might want to check with peoplearmy. I think hes done some work with it in the IMEI backup thread.

DocHoliday77 - Thanks for the explanation. In this case do you know how to unbrick the device w these files - which happens to be the same as yours? Would you have a .hex of you boot to share w me? I will try contacting peoplearmy. Thanks!
No unfortunately I do not have it. I can try to get it for you once I get home later tonight though.
That is unless anyone else has one they can post beforehand?

Man, if you could send me a copy of nv files and stuff like this would be of great help. I am in Brazil, w a phone I brought from USA, if I dont get it sorted out like this, I will have to send the bricked devoce to USA and have Samsung fix it there - will basically cost me a new device. No one here has a similar device, thus I have no one to rely on here on this situation. Thanks in advance.
Ill do what I can to help. In the meantime, if you haven't already try to get in contact with peoplearmy and the guys in the IMEI threads (in development section). I think theyve already done a lot with qpst and nv backups while working on the imei problem. You may get what you need there before I ever even get a chance to start!

Not to try and rain on your parade but I promise this won't work. I've bricked twice which literally gave me days to attempt exactly this. It won't do it. Would love to see this happen but hate to see you waste the time. Assuming you're still gonna go for it tho, good luck

I'm basically right where you are. I have the one .bin and several .mbn from my stock AT&T image. I just get an error that I need to switch to streaming download mode for flashing the .bin and NAK: invalid address when flashing the .mbn files. I think what we are looking for more than these are the hex files. The files we have now seem to be trivial from what I have read. How we acquire a hex is beyond me though. I've got a thread over here.

I hard bricked my phone.
Can anyone put the bootloader on their SD card, then send me the files so I can transfer them to my microSD and send them to my phone?
Would that work? I only see the i9300 files around. No one has the T999 files anywhere to send to the phone or am I missing something?
I feel comfortable shorting the certain resistor and getting to d/L mode just the getting files to my microSD seems the hard part.

there have been different phones that have recovered from a hardbrick that way we just need the right files for our phones.
Sammy really seemed to surprise some people with the S3. A lot of things people were used to on previous devices, were new and different on the S3. IMEI backups and nvdata were included in that category. It apparently used to be MUCH easier to backup and restore nvdata and related items. I'd wager this may be in the same boat, and I haven't seen anyone trying to figure it out, save for those in this thread.
Not saying its not possible, just improbable. (Wheres that Improbability Drive when you need it!)
Also, a fully functional and compatible version of QPST has never been found that I'm aware of.

Request for a PIT file for NAND's Re-Partition

Does anyone can post a pit file for the Glide?
I think my NAND is corrupted.
Or maybe someone can tell me wich pit file could I use in order to repartition with odin my glide, or if there is another method to do this from the Dowload Mode.
Thanks.

I dont know much about that, but, i think that rogers version has different Partitions that ATT, Why? because a lot of user of the rogers version has freeze problem when they try to flash the recovery or a rom (i was having that problem) maybe the users that still has that problem (mine is solved, don but i dont know)
For what it's worth, I have a Rogers' version of the phone (it's apparently the "international version") and have had 0 problems flashing, etc. Never had to use a PIT.

Help unbrick note 3

I am not new to the rooting scene, however I have a problem that I can't seem to figure out. I've been reading now for the past 2 days, tried several things and still can't get this resolved. I've never had any issues in the past with odin and rooting samsung phones before, including ones with locked bootloaders. However, I've met my match. I tried following the tutorial listed on this site for rooting the samsung note 3 from tmobile. I watched the video and followed along with the files listed here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-tmobile/#root
My problem is as follows: I tried rooting with odin, installed kies for the usb support but halfway through the root process I get the big RED FAILED! phone's progress bar stops and it hangs. I though this was strange and never encountered this before. I then tried repeating the same process and same results, however this time around I am only able to bring the phone into "odin" mode "download" and not the original stock rom.
At first I was getting the original "the firmware encountered an upgrade issue" and couldn't bypass this unless I opted for download mode. I've tried the same steps to "unbrick" via oden with stock tmobile firmware for this phone and yet it yields the same results, big exclamation failed on odin. I then tried the process with the .pit file to partition that I found online somewhere and that fails too. My note starts up now, but stuck at the samsung galaxy note 3 screen. I've tried several versions of odin, switching usb cables, usb ports and I am unable to root this phone or even get it unbricked! i've read extensively here and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. Can someone PLEASE point me in the right directions?? BTW, I am using a mac with VMWARE, i've never encountered any issues with vmware in the past while running windows 8.
Phone says the following:
Once in download mode my phone says the following:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SW-N900T
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL

You think a new computer might solve this?
Try using Heimdall. That should work natively on your Mac.
You can read about it and download it from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7679702&postcount=1

Actually, he might be right. But you may need to just try a different USB port instead of a new computer.
I had a problem with Odin failing when I tried to install a ROM. I remembered something about there being problems with certain USB ports, so I switched it to a port on the front of my PC and it worked. This was despite the fact that Odin recognized the device in the first port.
Hope that helps.
TL;DR: Just read through your post again and saw that you already tried that. Sorry.

Thanks for all the help, I was able to install the original rom back and restore the phone to it's original state through my mac side. I have downloaded Heimdall, but what are the steps necessary to root my phone? I only see an option to load package, flash or create package but it seems it's requiring a "PIT" file. Can anyone point me in the right direction of which particular file I need to root this note 3 with Heimdall? Thanks!

The auto root is not working for me period! it bricked my phone 3 times already and I had to unbrick. It was a pain in the butt. All ulitmately due to odin failing with the flashes. I've tried different versions of Odin, different versions of windows within vmware and different usb slots/cables. All fail! Is there another way to root this phone guys! Please help? I am on a mac. Obviously Odin is now out of the question.

In the future another easy way to unbrick your Samsung just open Kies in tools drop down select the emergency firmware. A pop up will ask you to put in your phone model and S/N. Kies restores firmware via download mode. This is how I restored from 5 bricks.

[Q] PIT file for GT-N5120

Hi all experts in this forum,
I am experiencing a NULL IMEI from my GT-N5120.
I suspect I lost the IMEI and baseband info (with a corrupted boot screen) from an act of wiping partition using TWRP 2.5.
This is the second time I got this and the first time I had Samsung replaced the hardware board. I have yet wanted to do this again.
I have backed up my EFS, with 2 different tools. Both do not able to restore IMEI for my case. Also, I am not able to get the Note8 USB detected properly (windows 7 x64) right after the corruption; the only chance I have is using ODIN (download mode) by draining the battery to 0% then power up with USB cable.
Here, I would like to find a PIT file for N5120. With this, I think of flashing with re-partition option then a restore of EFS.
Does anyone have a Odin PIT file for N5120? Appreciated!!

Many thanks for the offer.
Last night, in desperation (or in a moment of genius?), I solved my problem another way.....by restoring multiple partitions. [There are apparently 21 partitions on the N5120!]
You have nudged me into posting the solution here in the hope that it might help someone else :

I still haven't got/found the PIT file but happily I no longer need it.
Again, thanks for the offer.
Regards

SM-T325 PIT

Odin was not made for downloading anything.
Afaik it's integrated in the CSC.... file.
I've extracted it once and you're free to use it of course no warranty or anything.
Btw. what happened that you have to repartition it?
Thanks, actually I am not sure I have to.
To be totally honest - its first time I am trying to install a new OS on this device - it has original version now.
Was just following instructions online - I am not 100% aware about ins and outs. Also it seems JOdin does not allow install without PIT.
It says that the your PIT is corrupted.
Thanks!

Usually you uncheck repartition.
pit may afaik only be needed when device has lost it.
Odin works without.
You only flash TWRP with it and after that you don't need it anymore until you wanna turn back to stock.
Mine is from dbt stock firmware perhaps that's why.
Silly question but you've unpacked it?
@maced now that I'm home I've checked.
Extracted it from this stock file I've got via samfirm_reborn0.3.6.2: "CSC_OXA_T325OXA1BQB3_CL10765915_QB12683141_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar" what you can do yourself from the file suitable for your device.
