Request for a PIT file for NAND's Re-Partition - Samsung Captivate Glide

Does anyone can post a pit file for the Glide?
I think my NAND is corrupted.
Or maybe someone can tell me wich pit file could I use in order to repartition with odin my glide, or if there is another method to do this from the Dowload Mode.
Thanks.

I dont know much about that, but, i think that rogers version has different Partitions that ATT, Why? because a lot of user of the rogers version has freeze problem when they try to flash the recovery or a rom (i was having that problem) maybe the users that still has that problem (mine is solved, don but i dont know)

For what it's worth, I have a Rogers' version of the phone (it's apparently the "international version") and have had 0 problems flashing, etc. Never had to use a PIT.

Verizon stock ROTO files minus the Data partition

*** EDIT *** Sorry these files are no good so I'm removing the links. There are a few other threads that will provide the help and files needed
I have used this thread to restore my Tab and it worded perfectly
http://gizmoninja.com/2011/04/21/how-to-root-latest-samsung-galaxytab-verizon-update-ec02/
I've had a few problems up to this point but now having these files has helped me feel more secure about recovering back to a completely fresh Verizon stock image including reverting to rfs from ext4.
Ok, here are the files create from a ROTO back-up minus the data. This was completed on a brand new Verizon G-Tab with only temp root. I know quite a few people may need this so share as needed.
Includes the following files:
boot.bin
cache.rfs
dbdata.rfs
efs.rfs
factoryfs.rfs
ldb.db
modem.bin
param.lfs
param.rfs
pit.pit
bls.bin

Hope these help

Just curious, did you happen to repartition using the PIT file?
Nope. But from what I have read, it should work. We were just missing the actual file to do it...
Let me know how it works if you do it

Hmm, ok. I had read that once you converted to EXT4 that you needed to repartition to get back to RFS. I'm not saying that's true, just that I saw it somewhere.
I'll try to flash first without repartitioning, then repartition if that doesn't work.
The reason I said no, is because I have not used these to recover yet.
I did have the issue where I needed to repartition and couldn't find the file anywhere. So I ended up returning my device for a new one. Then did this pull so I could recover if I got back to that situation again.
By all means , use the pit file. that's what it's there for

Gotcha. Well, I'm charging my tab now, so we'll see what hapens.
Ok, i'm having issues with the repartitioning.
I have all the files in the right spot, but when I hit start, I get "failed to retrieve config descriptor"
Anyone get this before? Any fixes?
I haven't seen or heard of that error. Might want to PM Roto to see if he has any ideas

Someone mentioned that there's a way to boot into a secondary bootloader and try flashing in the download mode that way, but I don't exactly know how to do that.
I'm THIS close to sending this thing into samsung for a warranty repair.
Well you got further along then I did when I was in your shoes. I sent mine back and got a new one. That's why I created the Roto backup...
I saw what the other guy said and was confused also. Never to that before so I wouldn't know how to start...

I just created a repair ticket with Samsung, I'm tired of dealing with this.
I'm seriously considering selling the Vzw tab and getting a GSM tab. It seems so much easier to fix if it breaks.
It does seem there is a lot more support for GSM.
BTW, I haven't had any issues with my new device and I'm rooted, running CWM recovery and Klean ROM.

That's what I thought too
It may turn out that my device had a hardware problem, but who knows. I'll be sending it out tomorrow and report back when I get my new one.
One thing that I did find weird though. I was letting the Samsung screen stay on for a while when it first was "bricked" and eventually there was an audible voice telling me something about being "unable to mount data" or something close to that. Anyone else ever hear that?
Man you're full of firsts... I haven't heard that one and I let mine sit for an hour one time out of frustration
But now that I think about it, it was the /Data partition that couldn't be mounted in any of the recoveries once I got to that point so I can kind of understand, just not hearing the voice. Could it be that was in your head, LOL

Yup I had that when I was trying to restore my tab. This means your partition table is messed up and you have to repartition with pit file.
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk
I used the files in this post to return to stock and I now have a brick. Has anyone succeeded in flashing these.
Nobody knows for sure, but bootloaders, modem and pit file in this post seem to be corrupted. There's no existing stock firmware for VZW tab like for Sprint one. No leaks from Verizon

Here is how to restore Verizon TAB http://www.droidforums.net/forum/sa...84-how-restore-vzw-galaxy-tab-stock-dj11.html
This thread must be closed. I flashed files from first post and bricked my unit.
The thread on droid forums lacks modem, bl and sbl files though, a lot of guys in this forum need them. But agree, these files in this topic are corrupted.
Updated OP to remove the link to the files and added a link to a thread that helped me restore recently.

[Q] Please Can you guys help me with SPH-D710ZWASPR

Hello, everyone. First I want to say a big thank you to all XDA Developers and forum mod's for all hard work they do for us users.
I have purchased trough craiglist cell phone and I have tried to delete all things that previous owner had on the phone since he did not delete his files and the rest of his stuff. I did flash phone with some stock rom's and some rooted rom's. I have Baseband Version, H/W unknown and also IMEI MEID is unknown. Before I decided posting here, I have read here on xda and searched everywhere to fix it but I didn't have any luck.
I have tried downloading almost all firmware and tried different modems, kernels, bootloaders, repartioning and it does not fix my phone.
I would really apreciate if anyone can help me with this. Is there any way to get from somebody that have same phone like partition or files?
Thank you very much!

You might want to try an odin one click and it'll reset all of it back to normal and will put you on the latest Jellybean leak. Here's the one to use if you want Root http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...-D710)/Stock ROMs/JB/GA10/Full Restore/Rooted and here's the one if you don't want Root http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.p...710)/Stock ROMs/JB/GA10/Full Restore/Unrooted
If you flashed an international (gt-i9100) rom you're looking at jTag or replacing the phone cuz you hosed your bootloader and the partitions so the PC will never recognize it to Odin it back to stock. If the rom is rooted you *MAY* be able to use mobile odin to flash everything but the modem, but it's highly doubtful that will fix your forked up bootloader. And I've never seen an i9100 rom labeled as a d710 rom I think you just didn't read thoroughly enough.
I like to break stuff!
Thank you, MHousos. I'll give a try with SPH-D710_GA10_818252_Rooted_Restore. I have to mention that all other firmware I have tried flashing with Odin and Heimdall they both can flash phone but when they slow down when flashing modem.bin. They don't show no errors or that flashing have pass. I have been waiting for long time to see if the phone will get flashed or not but later I have to flash kernel so I can use phone with WIFI but baseband, h/w, imei is unknown.

I have tried I think almost all stocks, rooted, kernels, modems and other tools.
My phone is not dead, I can flash and use phone with WIFI.
When I try to flash any one-click firmware with odin or heimdall they stop like at end when flashing modem.bin
I have to disconnect usb cable and power off phone than put it in D/M and flash kernel but modem will not work
as h/w ime baseband is unknown.
Please can anyone help me out I would really apreciate.
In SPH-D710 .PIT it shows 13 or 14 file images?
If I had all files to flash would that help or not?
If someone could help me to get all files so I can try
I'm not asking to help me for free.
Thank you guys.

Use a Full Restore One Click, as it actually is preset to re-partition. All One Clicks are built with the pit file as the pit is used for mapping.
I would recommend using PC Odin manually to flash the three tar files separately. Kernel, modem and Rom.
I can tell you this - If you're attempts are always failing at a certain location, then it's probably time for you to follow this link, providing that you can actually flash.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1865102
And maybe even the possibility of failing internal memory. Last two threads I remember that started like yours ended with a BLOD,
Good luck, I hope that isn't the case for you.

[Q] PIT file for GT-N5120

Hi all experts in this forum,
I am experiencing a NULL IMEI from my GT-N5120.
I suspect I lost the IMEI and baseband info (with a corrupted boot screen) from an act of wiping partition using TWRP 2.5.
This is the second time I got this and the first time I had Samsung replaced the hardware board. I have yet wanted to do this again.
I have backed up my EFS, with 2 different tools. Both do not able to restore IMEI for my case. Also, I am not able to get the Note8 USB detected properly (windows 7 x64) right after the corruption; the only chance I have is using ODIN (download mode) by draining the battery to 0% then power up with USB cable.
Here, I would like to find a PIT file for N5120. With this, I think of flashing with re-partition option then a restore of EFS.
Does anyone have a Odin PIT file for N5120? Appreciated!!

Many thanks for the offer.
Last night, in desperation (or in a moment of genius?), I solved my problem another way.....by restoring multiple partitions. [There are apparently 21 partitions on the N5120!]
You have nudged me into posting the solution here in the hope that it might help someone else :

Galaxy Tab S help (SM-T807P)

Hello,
I have ran into a huge problem with my tab S and I have been trying to fix this problem for weeks on end. The problem is I can't seem to flash my tablets stock rom without it giving me some error message saying "invaild ext4 image". I have done some research and from what I've found I need the PIT file but I can't find it at all. I know you can extract the PIT file from your device but I don't have access to the OS right now, just ODIN and my custom recovery. The OS is 4.4.2 and the Version is T807PVPU1ANK1 before It messed up. I have also tried to flash a higher OS version like 6.0 to the device but every time I try I get a message that says "Image file too large 5000 > 54466" or something like that. The device was not rooted before it broke either. This tablet is very expensive so If someone could please provide me with the PIT file for this device I would greatly appreciate it. (Image below is what the error is)

When Odin fails like that it usually means the firmware is not correct for your device.
It seems here you are trying to flash a very old kitkat firmware.
This may not be allowed by the bootloader if you are attempting to downgrade.
Try the firmware below. I also advise you upgrade your version of ODIN to at least 3.10.6
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/63988/T807PVPU1BOL3_T807PSPT1BOL3_SPR/

I assure you that (SM-T807P) is the correct model number because I wrote it down and made sure it was correct. Unless you have the PIT file for the device I doubt I'll get it working again. It needs to be re-partitioned while the OS is installed because no matter what I flash I get the same error.

Afaik it's integrated in the CSC.... file.
I've extracted it once and you're free to use it of course no warranty or anything.
Btw. what happened that you have to repartition it?
Thanks, actually I am not sure I have to.
To be totally honest - its first time I am trying to install a new OS on this device - it has original version now.
Was just following instructions online - I am not 100% aware about ins and outs. Also it seems JOdin does not allow install without PIT.
It says that the your PIT is corrupted.
Thanks!

Usually you uncheck repartition.
pit may afaik only be needed when device has lost it.
Odin works without.
You only flash TWRP with it and after that you don't need it anymore until you wanna turn back to stock.
Mine is from dbt stock firmware perhaps that's why.
Silly question but you've unpacked it?
@maced now that I'm home I've checked.
Extracted it from this stock file I've got via samfirm_reborn0.3.6.2: "CSC_OXA_T325OXA1BQB3_CL10765915_QB12683141_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar" what you can do yourself from the file suitable for your device.
