[Q] Any way to make stock app drawer's bacground less transparent? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

As stated in thread title :
Is there any way to make stock app drawer's background less transparent ? Thanks

Any one ?

is this because you, like me, find that because the background is the same on the home screen as well as when showing all apps that it's easy to become confused which mode?
if so, I too would like to know the answer, or, how to have a different background for the full apps list grid from the home screens.

Not just different background.. Just bit less transparent on app drawer

+1
would also like to have such thing / mod !

Maybe use nova launcher. I know you wanna do that to stock launcher but that looks like the only way other than unpacking the tw launcher and then modding it.

[Q] Launcher with Folders inside DRAWER Apps Screen

please tell me about lite weight Launcher which has OPTION of MAKING Folders inside DRAWER MENU
Other than Go Launcher Ex plz, i know it has it but it takes too much memory
currently i'm using Holo Launcher but it only allows FOLDER in Desktop Screens not inside DRAWER Apps Screen.
Holo launcher allows you to create folder tabs. This may be a plus feature though. Worth paying for imo.

Tried GO Launcher? I think it has that option. Never used it though.
iLauncher, but it doesn't have the "destkop" menu, which I kinda feel like it is useless. I think you want something like the old Nokia 5230 launcher?
Just use Lewa launcher. But it lacks of customization....

[Q]make app icons transparent? (other than transparent launcher)

I bought Transparent Launcher Premium, thinking that it would do it for me. Unfortunately though, it lacks many basic features that I think the developer should have implemented. There is no way to search for an application by name to make it a transparent widget (you have to scroll through all your apps in non alphabetical order), and you cannot make multiple transparent widgets for your app icons (has to be 1 by 1). Lastly, with my Note 2 I can't even have a 1x1 transparent widget, only 2x2. So please guys, any other viable options out there? I like to have a nice wallpaper to look at with most of the apps that I use still on my homescreen.
PS sorry for the rant :silly:
Lightning launcher has the ability to make icons and widgets transparent.

Thanks for the reply. I do not want to switch my home lunched though. I'm a firm believer that most big things on a phone should be stock... runs smoother.

[REQ] A launcher manager app that.... (please read on)

hello
I have a got 5 launchers installed with different looks and feels for different moods and situations.
I keep changing them very frequently.
But when i change a launcher, the previous one keeps running in background and i have to kill it manually. So we i change launchers almost every hour, this has become irritating for me. So can anyone please tell me a home switcher app that can kill previous launcher automatically when I switch to another one?
I searched some but they simply switch launchers and don't kill previous ones.
Also, on switching launcher, my wallpaper changes of switched launcher to that of previous launcher, how to fix it except manually changing wallpaper again.

Cmon man! I don't change exactly every hour. I have my own reasons (don't think that way, I am a clean teen).
Btw its sad to know that i will have to do manual stuff.
Try "Home Chooser Flow"
How about next launcher 3d done by Go launcher team? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gtp.nextlauncher

Ive stuck with nova since my first android phone.. never even considered any others they will never get close.. dont know how you can change every hour thats crazy!

"home control" is the only launcher chooser that sticks to notification bar after reboot.
And why do not use only one launcher with many theme ??
Switching will be easier and clean each time ^^
And if you want to know how to make your theme xda and his powerful search tool will be you friend

Transparent Nav and Notification Bar?

Are there any devs or someone smarter than me, that could theme the top notification bar and bottom navigation bar to be semi transparent/fully transparent like how it is on the homescreen w kitkat, so when im in an app it could still be transparent instead of big black bars?
I'm a newb when it comes to editing ui files etc, thanks for the help.

I think when you update to 4.4.2 Google gave all the devices the transparency on both the nav bar and notification bar. Its even on the lockscreen too. If you open up some app they take advantage of it. Some apps don't such as fb. I think its up to the developers to update their apps. So I'm not convinced you need to modify your frameworks or anything like that its all enabled bone stock =]

yeah im just wondering, if its possible to modify the files to make it to where even if an app hasn't, the black will still be semi transparent, b/c im sure there will be plenty of developers who choose to not bother adding it

Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
I tried this before on aokp jellybean, its ugly because the transparency isnt within the apps (just like iOS) but the homescreen you can see your wallpaper while inside an app lol i guess it all depends on the app if it wants you to use full emersion :/

Use gravity box module with xposed
Only nexus 5 has transparent bar, nexus 4 update to 4.4.2 cannot install latest android home launcher.
You mean like this?
Sent from my 2013 Nexus 7.
ROM: CleanRom 2.6
Kernel: ElementalX 2.3
CPU: 1728 MHz Overclock
GPU: 450 MHz Overclock
Governor: Ondemand
Just went thru an rooted installed this mod, literally does everything, except transparency lol Thanks tho for the help/replies guys.
Just use a custom rom with it built in. Custom roms have had transparencies way back in the day. Where do you think Google got the idea?
Xposed does this well. You have to enable transparency AND have a launcher and touchscreen that supports it. If your launcher doesn't support it then it won't work. Gotta have both.
